Historic District Inn 3 BR/3 BA - 5 Blocks to French Quarter
Year Purchased: 1997
Why the Owner Chose French Quarter
This property is located only 5 blocks from the French Quarter and all that has to offer. A historic district just far enough away from all the hustle and bustle of Bourbon Street so you can get a good night sleep. There is always something to do and you don't have to go far to do it.
Owner's Map of French Quarter
I moved to New Orleans about 20 years ago to get out of the cold in the north and have enjoyed it so much that I bought a place here 13 years ago.

The rooms posted on this site are VERY misleading. The actual rooms are TINY. I could lay in the bed and adjust the a/c (a window unit). The bathtub enamel was peeling so badly that we had to go purchase shower shoes. The mis-matched shower curtain was falling down and one of our towels was soiled. The wooden floor had large cracks in it. When we complained about the accomodations, the clerk actually cursed at us. Do not be fooled into believing this advertisement. The facility is nothing like it appears on this site. (And the free wi-fi? Well you have to sit in one chair, right by the gate, and not move too far to the left or to the right or you'll lose it). We were able to relocate to a downtown area hotel closer to the French Quarter and twice the size for less than we paid for this misrepresented closet priced as a hotel room.

This place is wonderful!! A group of 10 of us guys decided to take a trip to New Orleans and catch up with each others' lives. Very relaxing. Clean and inviting. Friendly staff. Neat antique decor with peaceful outdoor kitchen. Conveniently located to French Quarter and local New Orleans flavor. Recommend this for all walks of life, and would definitely stay if in the area again. Thanks Olde Town Inn for a great stay!
