Our condo sits on the edge of a bluff, with full unobstructed white water ocean and mountain views that are too beautiful to believe.
The condo (# 311) faces due west, so spectacular sunsets over the Pacific Ocean are the norm. The condo itself is huge, over 1800 square feet of interior living space, with its own additional 22 foot by 18 foot outdoor lanai. There is also a huge enclosed sunroom that actually allows you to enjoy any tropical showers. It is custom decorated in a retro Hawaiian style with many original artist's touches, beautiful tile and granite throughout. There is more than ample furniture to relax and nap in different areas. The condo has been extensively renovated, most recently in the fall 2011.
Puu Poa is THE premier luxury/view condo on the North Shore of Kauai, in Princeville. The newly refurbished St. Regis Hotel is just yards from the condo and all their restaurants (one is a Jean Georges Vongerichten restaurant) and their beach are available to our tenants. There is also a winding path to the unbelievably picturesque Hideaways Beach below our bluff, where possibly the finest coral reef for snorkling can be found.
The fabulous Makai Golf Course, which is 27 holes, designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. is steps from the door. The famous Prince Golf Course, 18 holes, is minutes away. Tennis is available for free onsite.

We are much closer than the pictures show,enabling us to see turtles when the sea is calm and feel the spray when the surf is up. Sunset is unbelievable as the water looks like tahitian pearls in the relecting light. We can see whales from the lanai and sit at a height that lets us watch the 'sets' of waves roll in. It is hypnotic!
- Mountain View : We have the best Kauai view of Mt. Makana, called "Bali Hai" as seen in the Movie, South Pacific. We can watch the clouds drift into the valleys of the Coast (Na Pali) mountains, looking too beautiful to be real, sometimes we feel like it must be a painted backdrop!!
- Beach View : We have an unobstructed whitewater view of Pacific Ocean looking West. All of Princeville sits on bluff about 180 feet above ocean and a beautiful view of Hideaway Beach below.

One of the most beautiful vacation spots we have ever stayed. Highly recommend. A view like none other. The condo is well appointed and we felt very comfortable. We experienced an unforgettable vacation here. When we opened the door, our first words were "Wow!" The view is amazing.

My husband, 15-yr-old son, and I spent 9 WONDERFUL days over spring break (our 2nd time at the condo, son's 1st). It feels like another world on the North Shore, and we had a great time! The accommodations are very homey...from the comfy beds, full kitchen, linens/towels, and grill on the lanai. The view is the most beautiful place on earth and the condo a great place to call "home" during vacation (which we will no doubt return to again!). We stayed at #311 for 5 days in the beginning of May. This was the end of a 3 week trip for us, and we have been to the northshore 2 times before. The location is magic... in a word. The sound of the surf is memorizing and the view is perfect. Every day we rushed to be 'home' for sunset - just absolutely spectacular. The condo is nicely furnished - but the locale and view is stellar.

As many others have already expressed, this is one of the best condos in all of Hawaii, especially Kauai. I've vacationed on 4 of the Hawaiian islands and stayed in many different vacation condos, but this one is my favorite by far. The vacation condo is located on the quiet north shore, right next to the Princeville resort. There are many public beaches, hidden beaches, snorkeling beaches, and beach parks all around the north shore area and this vacation condo. And if you are a golf fanatic, there are many different golf courses, and a couple within walking distance of the condo. My wife and I love to Hike and this vacation condo in Kauai is near many hiking trails and paths that lead you along the coast or into the mountains. If you enjoy water sports like snorkeling, surfing, swimming, kayaking, or simply sunbathing on the beach, this vacation condo is perfect for you...there is a nice snorkeling beach right below the condo and Hanalei bay is just a 5-10 minute drive up the highway. Another thing that I love about this vacation condo in Kauai is that it's near a grocery store and close to many great restaurants. You can do your own home cooking in your kitchen as you watch the sunset or you can drive to Hanalei and enjoy a great meal at one of the many restaurants. I've taken a vacation to Kauai during the past 3 years and have stayed in this condo each time. This past year, my wife and I decided to take our 8 month old baby to Kauai. This vacation condo was perfect for our family and felt like our home away from home. Our baby loved it as well...he crawled all over the place and even had his own bedroom. The quiet North Shore is so beautiful in the summer time. Watching the daily sunsets from the lanai or from the kitchen while you are cooking is amazing. My wife's mom and dad (the grandparents) also came to Kauai to vacation with us and they fell in love with the condo as well. We are hoping to make this our annual vacation spot! I can go on and on about this amazing vacation condo in Kauai. If you are planning to take a vacation to Hawaii or Kauai, you have to check out this vacation condo. We enjoyed the condo immensely! It was the perfect way to enjoy all the North Shore has to offer in a luxurious setting. It was our first time in Kauai, and after touring around the rest of the island, I know our choice of the North Shore was also the right one. What a great community for walking and just enjoying the tropical beauty, and there was so much else to see just a short drive away (Hanalei, Na Pali coast, farmers markets etc.). We watched whales leaping and cavorting every day (thanks to the binoculars and the stunning ocean view from the lanai and sitting room). We enjoyed Hideaways Beach just below the condo, and snorkeling at the Princeville Resort (just a short walk away) on the calmer days. But a real bonus on the high surf days was sitting on the lanai and watching the extreme surfers being towed out to the 20-30 ft waves and having a go at those mountains of water. We also all got a real kick out of all of the chickens roaming free --- one of my favorite photos is of a chicken sitting at the top of a banana tree pecking away at the bananas --- you don't see that every day! I would definitely recommend it to friends and family.

We had an absolutely Wonderful time staying at the condo.We typically travel to Hawaii 1-2 times per year, and have experienced a number of different accomodations on different islands. Any vacation to the islands is a treat, but this condo made our experience stand out as truly remarkable. This is a luxury experience in every sense of the word. The view is absolutely fantastic, the condo is extremely comfortable and had everything we needed for a great vacation. The furnishings we found to be top rate, and coupled with the great views made for a perfectly relaxing vacation. As an added bonus, the location is a very nice and easy walk to great beaches and the Princeville Resort. I hope we can get back soon!!
