Bring your own boat and tie up to the 45-foot private dock adjacent to your home. If you do not have a boat you can rent one at numerous locations nearby and bring it home. Or you can always throw a line out and catch a large variety of fish and shrimp from your private dock. You will even see schools of Manatee regularly right from your dock.
The inside of the home has a large "Florida Room" with plenty of comfortable couches and an entertainment center. The kitchen offers all the amenities of home. The entertainment room boasts a piano organ and a fireplace, perfect for relaxing after an enjoyable day in the fabulous Florida Keys. The spacious living room and dining room will make you wish you lived here year round!! This home away from home is an incredible vacation destination!!

We had the pleasure of staying at this home for the month of February. The home is spacious and clean and located in a nice spot. However, everything is very outdated. Most of the patio furniture is broken and very uncomfortable. Most of what is wrong with the place requires a little money and some TLC thrown at it. It would have been nice to see a gardener once or twice. The televisions are outdated and hung from the ceilings - requires a chiropractor later. The owner is very responsive to having repair people arrive to fix anything that's wrong but that can be inconvenient. Despite our disappointment with a number of shortcomings, we enjoyed our stay. The area has many very good restaurants, access to kayak rentals, fishing, diving, etc. The canal is visited everyday by manatees who are very friendly and love a squirt of fresh water. Two of our passing kayakers tied up at our dock and swam with them in the water. A delight!Recommended for: Sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway, adventure seekers.

This is a great spot. Centrally located and very comfortable. The outside areas are perfect for relaxing and enjoying the Florida weather. It is close to grocery stores, activities and restaurants. The owner was excellent to deal with, pleasant and professional. I would go back to this place for anothe visit to the Keys.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, girls getaway.

We spent a delightful month in this home. The very first evening we were greeted by the manatees and saw them almost evey day from the seawall. The owner was quick to respond to all my questions before, during, and after our stay. Although this is a manufactured home, do not let that scare you away. The home was immaculate on the inside with newer furnishings and carpet and an open feel. The outdoor living areas were delightful and versatile. You could enjoy the sun or lounge in the hammock in the shade. We were able to launch our kayaks from our own backyard and explore Tarpon Basin. It was very convenient to paddle to the beach area. The neighborhood is self contained and there was not a lot of through traffic so it was pleasant to go out for an evening stroll or bike ride. We enjoyed the location, we were able to ride our bikes to dinner, the grocery store and shopping. If you are a diver (or want to become one) I recommend Captain Slate's Atlantis Dive Shop. They were very accomodating and the "Creature Feature" dive is not to be missed. Don't miss the chance to explore the Everglades, we took a one day kayak/drive/hike tour with Florida Bay Outfitters and learned so much. I also recommend the Key Largo Conch House for dinner, their menu went beyond "everything fried" and the specials were exactly that. Be sure & save room for Momma's desserts. We were able to walk from the house to Tower of Pizza, their menu includes good pizza and many other Italian/Greek dishes.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, pet owners, age 55+, families with young children, adventure seekers.
