Monthly rental only. We offer our condo, located on beautiful and unique Lower Matecumbe Key in the village of Islamorada, "a quaint little drinking village with a fishing problem". Our laid-back island atmosphere allows you to relax and enjoy the winter. You will be comfortable in the small 12 unit condo in a neighborhood away from all commercial interests. Bright, clean, tile floors, new appliances, and a large screened porch with a view of palm trees and boats will be yours. The garage holds fishing equipment, bicycles, snorkel gear and room for a kayak or canoe.
There are nearby marine parks, bird sanctuaries, and available boat rentals or backcountry/fishing
boat charters. Islamorada has a reputation as a fishing capital and after a day outdoors, you can take your catch to Lazy Days restaurant for a gourmet meal. Shopping is plentiful from small shops to the famous World Wide Sportsman .This large outdoors store contains a saltwater aquarium and replica of Hemingway's sister ship the Pilar. Then you want to visit the Islamorada Fish Company for lunch by the water. We like to go to the small movie theater in Tavenier and back to Islamorada for a casual dinner in one of our local restaurants.
You will appreciate the mild winter temperatures, and local activities without crowds.

Why the Owner Chose Lower Matecumbe Key
We love the water and offshore fishing and had visited Islamorada on vacation. It seemed the closest thing to the Bahamian lifestyle without the travel. Islamorada is truly unique and uncrowded with beautiful turquoise water and lovely sunsets.
The Unique Benefits of this Condo
We are interested in photography and find something everyday to make a memory. There is quite a bit of wildlife in and near our canal such as manatees, tarpon, and a large assortment of water birds. The flowering trees and colorful bushes are always a treat to photograph.
