We offer more than a place to stay, we offer you the vineyard experience.
If your looking for a private and restful escape in the new home of California wine culture, Lotani farms has your accommodations covered. However, we offer you more than just a place to stay, we offer you the vineyard experience. Our Rustic Log Cabin is perched on a gorgeous hill top surrounded by acres of Cabernet grapes. Our two bedroom residence is perfect for a romantic escape, or a family of 5. We will help to ensure that your stay is comfortable, carefree, and everything you want it to be.
As you drive through the heart of Paso's renowned wine region turn into your 40 acre hilltop vineyard. A well shaded, oak-lined driveway will take you through the lower olive orchards and along a bubbling creak, as you pass though the gated entrance to Lotani Farms you will catch your first glimpse of the 17 acre vineyard, pass the stables and begin your climb up the winding driveway, leading you through the rolling slopes of Cabernet grapes and upward towards your hilltop cabin.
When you reach the top, circle around and park beneath the grand oak tree between the bonfire pit and shaded picnic area. You will immediately notice the stillness and taste the fresh air. Take a deep breath and you may catch wisps of the cool sea breeze that makes it through the hills from the nearby pacific ocean. Before you unpack and settle into your cabin, you will want to uncork a bottle of your favorite wine, pour yourself a deep glass, and settle down on the back porch to enjoy the cool autumn air and the expansive view.
After exploring some of the vineyard on foot and enjoying the sunset from any of the property's perfect viewpoints, you can head back to the cabin where you will find a full and well equipped kitchen perfectly suited for the gourmet chef in you. Or if you are in the mood for steak or some delicious grilled salmon, you can light up a fire in the pit out back and grill till your heart's content. After dinner light up a fire in the living room fireplace and who knows you might even want to choose a board-game or puzzle from the game closet to take you into the evening. Or head into town for some drinks at a local restaurant or winery.
When you are ready to call it a night, fall back into your super comfortable king and get the rest you deserve. Your vacation has begun.

Dear Sherry, your cabin is awesome, and the first thing my husband said was for us to come back alone ( no kid, no mother-in-law (HIS mom, there is ;)). I don't even know where to begin! We went by your directions, which by the way thank you, because we did have our GPS, but it would have taken us to the other side of the road like you said. Your whole property is GORGEOUS!!!!!!! The views, the sounds of nature, and the BEST: NO TECHNOLOGY!!!!! Cell phone coverage could be even dodgier for all care. :) There's something about that cabin that is so harmonious and so light-feeling. The trees! Oh, the trees are breathtaking! The huge one on the way up to the cabin that seems as though the top of it came off (very neat looking) and when you get closer, all the acorns stuck in the little holes the woodpeckers had made -- just marvelous! We took a little tiny sample of your grapes, and they're DELISH!!! I have never eaten such sweet ones. Your olive oil is addicting, and maybe we'll have to order some more soon! All and all, it was "FANTABULOUS!!!" and we really hope to get back there sometime in the near future. Sorry I couldn't leave any reviews on the guest book. Kid, wedding to attend, and mother-in-law to keep in check before I knew we were leaving. You can print some of this out and attach to the book ;) Thanks for sharing your wonderful peace of heaven w/ us, mere mortals!

First off, the location is fabulous. It's bucolic, has amazing views, and is *in theory* away from it all enough to give you that restful, relaxing vacation you're looking for - except ........ Imagine you're staying at this property. It's 8:30am on Saturday AM, you are sleeping peacefully in a comfy bed. Then imagine the loudest, jolting, adrenaline-causing mariachi music possible. As in, music blaring, blasting, booming, so loud that it is literally echoing off of the seriously beautiful hills of where you are staying. As you walk downstairs to fuzzily find the source of the music, you can feel the bass on the staircase, and as you make it downstairs, the glasses are rattling on the tables. This is literally what we experienced, and as we dumbfoudendly walked out and saw workers in the vineyards directly to the left and below the property, we were frankly stunned. The music eminated form the workers' trucks, and the doors of the truck were wide open for amplification. After walking our dog (super-cool points for allowing dogs!) down to where the workers' trucks were located, in the spirit of "Hey, we're staying here!", it was very clear that the workers were aware that we were staying on the property - but they didn't do a single thing, which, of course, includes turning down the music. Sort of stunning, really, to be subjected to totally insanely loud music at such an early hour. As if his wasn't bad enough, yes, the next AM, the same thing woke us upon Sunday AM - however, it was at lower volume - albeit a 6 on a scale of 10, of which Saturday AM was a 9.8. Bad enough however, to wake up anyone within 1/2 miles range, it was still that loud. Does this sound relaxing to you? Didn't think so, and we were really upset, and we let the owner know accordingly. The response from the owner was akin to "Wow, that 's odd, it's never happened before"- but given the property is locked behind a gate that requires a code, and the fact that the workers were so familiar with the property that they brought their own port-a -potty (happy vacation rental scenery to you!), sorta hard to believe. Due to the truly gigantic level of music noise, this was literally the worst VRBO rental experience ever, and we have been using VRBO to find places to stay with our dog for six years, . Unless the owner commits to a confirmed, money-back commitment to a lack of serious noise, it would probably be in your best interest to stay else
Owner response:Firstly, I was so sorry for this experience. I haven't had this complaint before nor have I experienced it when I stay there. While it is highly unusual that workers are there on the weekend, this is a working ranch and it is always a possibility. I tell all my guests to call me anytime there is any problem. I am so sorry that he didn't ask the workers at the time to lower the volume or alternatively to call me. The guys would have been happy to lower the music. They are pleasant and always very accommodating. -Sherry

The property is beautiful, the cabin was well stocked and comfortable, the surrounding wineries were fantastic (and more than we had time to see), and the star gazing was phenomenal...way better than TV! This was the perfect long weekend getaway for us. Our kids loved running around the yard, having a picnic on the front lawn, and watching for deer and turkeys and bats! We were quite comfortable and would love to come back and stay longer! Thank you!

If you want a quiet secluded place, this is it. The property is beautiful with a magnificent view. The cabin is very comfortable, the kitchen is fairly large and open with a professional range that was equipped with a built in griddle that was great for cooking breakfast. There is a lot of wildlife in the area, deer, turkey, quail and lots of other birds if you are a birdwatcher. We were there for 3 weeks and didn't want to leave. There is no TV or internet and the cell signal is spotty, but we were always so late getting in from sightseeing that it really didn't matter. There is plenty to do within a 30-45 min. drive. Sherry and her sons were very pleasant to work with.
