What a charming gem of a cottage! This was my second visit to Inverness, and my wife's first. We just loved the rustic charm of the 1st Valley Cottage, supplemented by all the modern conveniences. The cottage was meticulously cleaned and the caretaker was very helpful and accommodating. Point Reyes and Inverness are my new favorite escape.

Recommended for:Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

A very special way to begin the new year. We loved everything about the house. such a pleasant surprise.! Their was plenty of relaxation coupled with adventures around the area. We will be returning ... Perhaps when we are celebrating our honeymoon. Hard to leave this morning.. Thank you for sucha beautiful and special retreat.

All of the ingredients for enjoying family-time were at our fingertips here at 1st Valley. Hiking, napping, fireside chats, reading, resting and lovingly unconnected from the electronic technological world filled our days and evenings with joy. We shall be back to make more glorious memories to be sure..

Beautifully quiet place to relax

We were looking for a secluded place among the redwoods to relax and unwind. We found everything needed for preparing meals and the pictures and stories of the family we a nice touch. The bedroom with its wood beamed ceiling was very calming. I highly recommend the place and plan to return at least once or twice a year. I now place it among one of the nicer places to relax and find ourselves.

Wish we could have stayed longer. We dig this place. Rustic setting is perfect for champagne and oysters. The fireplace rocks The brook is a wonderful sound at night. Loved it Wish the check-in were earlier and the check out later. Love it.

A wonderful place to stay for our daughters second birthday ! She loved the kids table and chairs, the porch and most of all the blackberries We loved feeling like we were in a tree house. The gently applauding creek gorgeous.

A wonderful place to stay. With a growing extended family we no longer can all fit into our 2nd Valley cabin and this place was a wonderful way to have more space in Inverness. The children enjoyed the creek and the bunk beds immensely. Hope to return another year.
