Artwork from local artists adorns the walls and a magnificent Angel sculpture by Mexican artist Jorge Marin is perched over the plunge pool. Each room has been named after a local painter, and their work can be found on the property. Casa del Angel has been featured in many photo books of SMA and has hosted many of the towns social events.
In the Casita, you'll enjoy purified drinking water, luxurious linens, high-speed internet and daily housekeeping. Guests have full use of a fully equipped chef's kitchen, dining room, and living room. So that your stay at Casa del Angel is as relaxing and comfortable as possible, we offer a plunge pool, courtyard & roof top terrace w/patio seating for reading & lounging.
As our guest, you can customize a meal plan to suit your needs. Our talented house cook is available to prepare for you a variety of delicious home-cooked meals (extra cost applies). If you prefer to cook for yourself, the Casa del Angel has a fully equipped cook's kitchen. Explore the nearby Mercado for seasonal fruit and fresh local ingredients. The choice is yours!
Located near the Centro, Casa del Angel is a 10-minute walk to both the Jardín, the center of SMA’s historic district, and to the Instituto Allende, the Spanish language and art school. We are perfectly situated to explore the town on foot.

"FRIENDLIEST PLACE IN ALL OF MEXICO "
I arrived at the Casa del Angel in San Miguel de Allende with my mother and sister and immediately took a nap in the most comfortable room I have ever slept in. The fireplace was on and the room was cozy and when I awoke I thought I had been there for at least a week instead of just a couple hours.

Owner Description
The owner of Casa del Angel is Senor Lou an avid collector of Mexican art. Several years ago, he built Casa del Angel or "House of the Angel" as a sanctuary where in to relax and display his collection of paintings by local SMA artists. He is very active in the retirement community and hosts many of the town’s social events at Casa del Angel. In 2007, he converted Casa del Angel into a Guest House.
