Zaffiro offers a generously open living, dining and kitchen area that expands onto two full furnished terraces, one facing the lake and the other the garden, just beyond the garden lies the town's rocky beach (direct access from the Villa). Parking is free at the property. Zaffiro is located within walking distance of a city or town; however a car is recommended. For your trips in the Lake area you can easily reach Varenna (5 km), the whole Lake area and Milan catching the train and avoiding traffic. By public means of transport, ferry, passenger boat and hydrofoil you can also easily reach Bellagio and many other towns & villages on the Lake. The area is also very good for winter sports: St Moritz is just a leisurely one hours car ride away. Within a 10 minute walk from the house you will find supermarket, butcher, bars, restaurants etc. Walk a few level feet from the parking area to the entrance. All bedrooms and full bathrooms are on the ground floor with 16 steps up to the common areas.

My family and I grew up in Lierna, we own also a restaurant just in front of the property it is always been a family business since 1892, I'm a the chef.
Why the Owner Chose Lierna
The house is close to the road that gives access to other lake towns, and boats and ferry boats that run from Lecco and Bellagio/Varenna, allowing easy access to other areas of the lake. Also from Milan catching the train and avoiding traffic. From Milan or Como follow the road direction Lecco ("s.s.36"). After Lecco, exit Abbadia Lariana (road "s.p.72") The 3rd town is Lierna
