My wife and I visited NYC for three nights with our daughters (ages 5 and 9) during their Spring Break. Silvia's apartment was just as advertised and exceeded our expectations. It's in a superb residential area with easy walking (with kids) to Union Square, Madison Square Park (and Shake Shack!) and numerous coffee shops / restaurants. Quick cab rides to Times Square, Central Park and MSG. The 24 hr supermarket adjacent to the property has a great selection of fresh breads. We purchased disposable cameras and gum for the girls at the CVS pharmacy across the street. The apartment was clean and larger than we expected, with good size BRs and a very comfortable living room area. The living room separates the 2 BRs (each of which has its own bathroom) which is great for privacy or if parents want to stay awake for a while after putting the kids to bed. The rooftop deck provided excellent views of the city in all directions. The concierge staff downstairs were extremely friendly and Silvia was a most gracious host, allowing us access to the aptmt to drop our bags when we arrived at 10:30 a.m. while the unit was being cleaned. We'll definitely look to stay at the "Chez" again when we return to NYC!

All I could do is repeat the praise from all the previous reviews (outstanding apartment, excellent location, peaceful ambience, great music collection, etc.) So apart from that just saying we felt very, very very comfortable in Silvia's home. Communication with Silvia: excellent ! Highly recommended !!!

Silvia's place is a haven in the middle of Manhattan. We couldn't have been more delighted when we arrived; the flat is lovely, very spacious, well decorated and had everything we needed. Actually, it had pleasant surprises like hairdryers in both bathrooms and other little amenities. But the best surprise was the little birds that would come every morning to bathe in their balcony/garden! Just lovely and soooo relaxing - as I said, it felt like a home away from home. Also - but not least important - Silvia is delightful, always replied to our e-mails very quickly and everything went out smoothly. She also kindly let us arrive earlier than the check-in time (our flight arrived pretty early in the morning) and to leave our luggage in storage so we could enjoy our last day after check-out time. Her flexibility over these matters helped us a lot and we're very thankful for that. In essence: very smooth transaction, great apartment, lovely owners and I couldn't recommend it more! Thank you, Siliva and Jimmy, for everything! We'll hopefully be back for many years in the future!

What a fabulous apartment, very central for everything. Very much like a home from home, absolutely everything catered for, with nothing left out. The apartment is situated in a pleasant well maintained building with 24 hour security by very polite staff. You are mixing with local New Yorkers as your neighbours, which proves, if the locals stay there then it must be ok. Would reccommend to anyone looking to stay in New York. Never got to meet the owner, but e-mails and phone calls to her were no problem, great communications. We were 4 adults- cousins sharing after touring USA, deciding to make our last stop New York. Everything is within walking distance, and it was great to be able to come and go as you pleased, relaxing in the apartment rather than a hotel bedroom. Anyone staying there must take a trip up to the roof, what great sites of the city. Also available to use is the pool and the gym, but only if you have any energy left after sightseeing and shopping all day. Would love to return. Can't see anyone having any problems staying here.

What a fabulous comfortable apartment, dead centre, in the city that does't sleep. A home from home where absolutely everything was catered for. We wanted for nothing during our 4 day stay. Having access to the lovely balcony for our use was great. The property also benefits from having 24 hour security, access to the indoor pool and also a gym.All city sights are within walking distance, and Macy's is close to hand. An all night supermarket is on the corner, which sells everything you will need. An exceptionally well kept building. As we were 2 sets of couples, having the 2 bathrooms was great. Woud love to return to this apartment, and would not hesitate to reccommend to future people looking to rent.

Absolutely fabulous location, everything's so close and so tourist-friendly... The flat is very warm, fantastic windows on the terrace and the terrace itself is so beautiful! We were two couples and we had our privacy and enjoyed our stay soooo much. Thanks to Silvia (and Jimmy, present in the many photographs hanged on the wall...) a lot for having allowed us to live such a beautiful holiday in NYC !!!

The apartment was fantastic in a great location and was really well appointed. We would highly recommend and definately stay again when in New York. We particulary enjoyed all the local restaurants just outside the door. The laudry and market were great as they are so close you can just pop in. All the instructions in the apartment on how to use various items made it really easy. Thank you.

This was indeed a home away from home. Silvia our hostess and owner is very sweet and goes the extra mile for her clients. The apartment has all the bells and whistles. It is spotless and has great features such as stainless steel appliances, wonderful wineglasses and glasses for cocktails. The concierge makes you feel like a resident of this complex an not just another tourist. We would highly recommend this apartment and be assured its location is just what you want, in walking distance of many of NYC's attractions.. This is certainly a home that gives you class and value for your hard earned money and it is a refuge after a hard day of shopping and sightseeing. Thanks Silvia and we shall be back. This property would be hard to improve on. The apartment was spotless and felt like home. Lot's of personality as opposed to commercial properties. Wonderful music collection with classic jazz vinyl included. Located in the heart of the city with easy access and a friendly staff. A market and pharmacy right outside the front entrance. We enjoyed side trips to the Village, Central Park, Chinatown. Great restaraunts. New dining discovery from a friend, "Victors"... Cuban cuisine next to Gallagher's Steak House. Be sure to visit the Met. Museum of Art. This is an excellent value for the rental fee and I would have it at the top of my list on my next visit. PC............. San Antonio

Great place. Owners were very accommodating and professional. Locale is wonderful -- easy access to subway and taxis are easy to get. Market downstairs is great as well. Bedrooms are private -- on opposite sides of the apt so there is privacy. Only issue was that internet did not work. Owners said they are getting wireless soon.

Not only was the apartment outstanding and fully eqipped, the location couldn't have been better. Everything was just steps away, including two subway lines. The market downstairs was a real bonus. I would recommend this apartment to anyone who wants to live like a New Yorker while on vacation.
