The house is amazing ,it has everything you could possibly want to enjoy a quiet ,peaceful vacation . The beach is a semi - private setting the surf break is outstanding what more could you want from a vacation. The house was spotless when showed up you could tell the owner takes pride in house ,there was plenty of linen's and towels , the kitchen is fully stocked with any utensil needed to make a meal. The ability to sleep under the stars is phenomal the views ,the sound of the ocean and most important no noise from unruly neighbors . If your looking for the ultimate vacation spot get in touch with the owner she was awesome ,we told her what we were looking for and what we wanted to do and she took care of everything . Looking forward to renting the property again the best vacation ever.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

If you like quiet; if you like incredible surf; if you like unbelievable private spaces and a long, long, long beach to walk: this is the spot. We had a blast. The house was perfect for our 6 vacationers (including kids); the sunsets were epic, the sunrises extraordinary and the spaces (beds and beautiful casitas) ideal for our gang of fishing, surfing, swimming families. This is a unique place completely away from the real world. I hope it will last there forever- We Will Be Back next year!Recommended for: Families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

About the owner: My house on the beach at Bahia Terranova is new, completed building in March or 2009. I discovered the neighborhood after many year of camping at 9 Palms and with 4 friends, 11 years ago, built a small surf house up the hill. I fell in love with the area and decided to buy my own property on the beach. The neighborhood has only 10 houses and is set back from the road in a gated community. My neighbors are very quiet, mostly retired Americans living a simple beach life. As my life changed I realized I needed a place of my own and started the building process 3 years ago. Since I'm still working as a professional skier I can't be there in the winter. So with much stress I'm listing on VRBO hoping to find some surfers who will love my place and take good care of it. I live in Bahia Teranova because I love it there. This is the place I will retire some day.
Why the Owner Chose Playa Tortuga:
I didn't build my house to rent. But I have to rent it in order to afford it. I build this place to live, surf, fish, kite and relax. It has one of the best swimming beaches in all of the east cape and down to Cabo. It's a place I can share with friends and family and offers something for everyone. Because it's so far away from town, and off the grid you really relax into a quiet life style. We're not rushing into to town for dinners or social life. We buy our groceries and we stay there for as long as possible before we have to go to town for supplies. You don't need any fancy clothing and flip flops are the only shoes you'll need. This is why I built this house.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
Very few people, uncrowded surf beak, gated community, long quiet days, fantastic fishing, turtles nesting, cows on the beach, local fisherman, nice neighbors, warm water, excellent snorkeling right out front. You don't need to go anywhere to get it all.
