The North Shore Cottage is one of the very few vacation rentals with such a fantastic view that has NO CLOSE NEIGHBORS!
The cottage is a modest, unpretentious home but is very cozy and comfortable. (SEE OUR GUEST'S COMMENTS)
We are located on the North Shore of Clear Lake, above the road (Hwy. 20) approx. 80 feet from the lake.
Enjoy your morning coffee on the deck while watching the early morning fish jumping in the lake, along with the INCREDIBLE ARRAY OF BIRDS and in the evenings a glass of wine while enjoying the gorgeous sunsets. Don't be surprised to see deer, wild turkeys and our resident jackrabbit feeding in the yard and hillside!
During the evenings you might enjoy a concert at Konocti Harbor Resort and Spa, dining at local restaurants or you might prefer to stay in and prepare your own meal at the house in the fully equipped kitchen.
Indulge in wine tasting at our many local wineries, or perhaps you might try your luck at one of the Indian gaming casinos, visiting the two state parks, museums and planetarium.
Our guests often reward themselves with a visit to the famous hot mineral waters and mud baths at Calistoga. (approx 40 min drive)
It is definitely worth taking an afternoon drive through the California Redwoods to the Mendocino Coast. Make it a priority to visit the beautiful and unique Botanical Gardens and the scenic fishing village of Noyo Harbor at Fort Bragg.
WINTER IS A WONDERFUL TIME TO SPEND AT THE LAKE. Build a fire in the large rock fireplace, (wood provided) have a glass of wine or mug of hot chocolate, put on some music, (CD's provided) kick back and relax.

We had a fabulous time. (our second stay) The first night we went to the Robinson Casino, had dinner and played a couple of games. The rest of the time we hung out at the house, read and played multiple games of Scrabble. Tawny (my dog) loved, loved, loved exploring the grounds, she wants to come back again soon, as well as ourselves. It was so nice having a girl's week-end. The long drive that you took to meet us there and the neighborhood information you provided was highly appreciated. We had a really good time at your home. My wife and I both agree that compared with all of the vacation rental homes we have stayed at so far, you have the most comfortable bed! AND we could not believe that in your well equipped kitchen we fould all of the spices we needed to cook. Also the rock fireplace was really nice, especially on rainy days, we spent a good amount of time reading in front of the fire. WE HAD A VERY GOOD TIME IN YOUR COMFORTABLE, COZY PLACE.
