The North Shore Cottage is one of the very few vacation rentals with such a fantastic view that has NO CLOSE NEIGHBORS!
The cottage is a modest, unpretentious home but is very cozy and comfortable. (SEE OUR GUEST'S COMMENTS)
We are located on the North Shore, the Hwy. 20 scenic corridor of Clear Lake, the cottage is located off of and above Hwy. 20, approx. 80 feet from the lake.
Enjoy your morning coffee on the deck while watching the early morning fish jumping in the lake, along with an incredible array of birds .In the evenings partake in a glass of wine while enjoying the gorgeous sunsets, listening to music on the deck's outdoor speakers. Don't be surprised to see deer, wild turkeys and our resident jackrabbit feeding in the yard and hillside.
During the evenings should you wish to dine out there are numerous restaurants around the lake or you might just prefer to stay in and prepare your own meal in our fully equipped kitchen.
Indulge in wine tasting at our many local wineries, or perhaps you might try your luck at one of the Indian gaming casinos, or visiting the museums and planetarium.
CLEARLAKE IS GORGEOUS IN THE WINTER AS WELL AND A WONDERFUL TIME TO SPEND AT THE LAKE. Build a fire in the large rock fireplace, (wood provided) have a glass of wine or mug of hot chocolate, put on some music, (CD's provided) kick back and relax.
If time permits, it is definitely worth taking an afternoon drive through the California Redwoods to the Mendocino Coast for the afternoon.

This listing was all it was said to be. The views (even out of the kitchen window) were gorgeous. Even though it rained at the beginning and the end of our week we could still enjoy our stay because of the unobstructed views and with no close neighbors it truly was a restful and most enjoyable vacation.
Recommended for:Sightseeing, age 55+.

I recently went to this place with my girlfriend and we had wonderful time. The view of the lake looked amazing from the house. The place was neat and everything was prepared. The house had big balcony with confy chairs. Also there were lots of good movies to watch. I strongly recomend this place for people who want to relax and enjoy the awesome view of thr clear lake.

Perfect wonderful getaway! From the moment we opened the front door of your quaint, spacious, darling home, we felt so welcome and at home. The view of the lake from your deck was breathtakingly beautiful in the day as well as night. The abundant wildlife was amazing & thrilling to watch. Anyone can readily sense the home is put together with great thoughtfulness to comfort. A stay in your magical home among your collections of treasures awakens precious childhood memories. Anyone who has ever been pampered or cared for by a beloved relative will definitely revisit those nostalgic feelings. I could almost hear my dear Aunt Daisy saying "You can use anything that is here, just don't break it, put it back were you got it & clean up your mess if you make one."
