Owner's Profile
Owner Description
Year Purchased: 2005
We lived in this home previously and really enjoyed it. However we have moved back to our house in Austin and now get to share this amazing place with vacation renters such as yourself! When it's not occupied we love to go there and relax. Even though it's only 30 min. to Austin it truly feels like a get away and a vacation while you are there. We have 5 children and founded a foster care and adoption agency, Familylinkkids.com. Caring for abused and neglected children is our life's purpose and passion!
Why the Owner Chose San Marcos
We wanted a home on acreage that was very peaceful and felt like an oasis in the middle of our hectic lives. However, we didn't want to be isolated or drive a long way to get there! We were so happy when we found Legacy Ranch since it met our requirements and so much more. Our kids say it feels like a castle and it does! However it is only a few minutes from great shopping, bookstores, Outlet Malls, Restaurants, the San Marcos and Guadalupe Rivers, etc. Also San Marcos and New Braunfels are really neat smaller towns so we always check out what is going on when we want to visit. Of course Austin and San Antonio are both incredible larger cities, and you are about 30 min from Austin and an hour to N. San Antonio so whether you want a day of sight seeing and cultural activities to just want to stay at Legacy Ranch, BBQ etc. it's easy to do it all.
The Unique Benefits of this House
My husband and I love sitting on the front porch swing and seeing the incredible views, as well as the night time sky where the stars are bright! The kids love exploring the house and property, and always like seeing the neighbor horses. They built a cool tree house(with an engineer friend's help) and they are always discovering new things since there are 10 acres to explore. There is a huge field that is great for soccer, volleyball, football, etc. There are also huge trees surrounding it for great shade for all of the onlookers and great for picnics too! We all enjoy the huge kitchen and dining since we love to cook when we're all together. The game-room is a great place to hang out, play pool and other games and watch movies, etc.

This is the perfect house for a family get a way. We really enjoyed the morning views while sipping our coffee. the kids had plenty of safe room to run. The house was very warm and user friendly. My husband found the golf green to be a favorite. We have planed a family reunion for next year at the Villi. Thanks for a perfect house that fit our needs.

This was the one of the nastiest places I have ever seen. Moldy showers, bugs cobwebbed into window sills, used bath soap, broken beer/wine bottles in the yard, abandoned washing machine on back porch, old gauze bandage in refrigerator, etc. We cleaned for 3 hours in the kitchen and master bedroom. Pictures can't begin to describe what a filthy disappointment. The owner said my "expectations were too high". I know now why the payment had to be in the form of a casher's check.

Brad and his friends booked the property to hang out, play golf and cook up some bbq. As i was showing him the property he stated that the web site photos don't do justice to what the property actually looks like ( Sweet was his exact comment!!). He was really impressed and was the second straight vacation renter to state that they would be returning next year to stay.

They were amazed by the great views and privacy. The kids were so excited to go exploring on the acreage and collected firewood for a camp fire. This guest stated that their stay was excellent and will look forward to coming back next year.
