Listing description accurate in every way. Property clean and well maintained. Appreciated the mosquito netting around balcony and also the fact of supplying coffee, butter, jam, beer and Ting in the fridge. Owners extremely friendly and helpful. Would most definitely recommend this property to anyone. Would strongly recommend using the local buses which stop just below on the main road - 3 minutes walk away.

Everything at the cottage exceeded our expectations; and the island itself is the gem. The views are exceediingly good as is the location: close to a number of good restaurants, diving and water taxi to St Kitts, should you feel the need to go. We were there for a week but could have easily stayed longer; actually we did not want to leave. Great hosts: Paula picked us up at the ferry and had a car waiting for us at the cottage, provided us with a cell phone to use for our stay and had cocktails on their villa balcony with stunning views of St Kitts. If you come do not miss the horse races!

We spent 2 weeks at this lovely home and were never bored. Even thought Nevis is a small island there are many things to do. Our location was great for visiting the beaches, shopping and sightseeing. There are many excellent restaurants nearby, but you can also enjoy a relaxing dinner on the patio or screened in porch while watching the beautiful sunsets. Lynn & Paula, our charming host & hostess, supplied us with lots of inside information about where to go and what to do while visiting Nevis. I enjoyed using the lap pool for exercise while my fellow travelers went bicycling all over the island. Imagine swimming laps with 180 degree views of the Carribbean Sea! We also went swimming at Oualie Beach which is just down the hill and never crowded. There is a resonably priced restaurant at the beach hotel and we were even able to enjoy their evening musical entertainment from our patio at the villa. This property has a small, but efficient kitchen and an outdoor gas grill. Laundry is also available. Each bedroom has a private bath & large closets. The open living, dining, & kitchen area was adequate considering we spent most of our time on the screend-in porch or the outside patio. It might be tight for families with young, active children, but it was perfect for 2 adult couples. Driving on the island can be fun! I adapted quickly to the right-hand side steering wheel and driving on the left side of the road. Nevis is not very crowded with cars and you really need one to get around the island. A word of caution...if you plan to rent a car, obtain your driving permit when you arrive on the island at the local police station before you drive your rental car. We were almost fined becasue we did not do this. The location and amenities of this villa are perfect. The views are awesome! I would definitely stay here again when visiting Nevis.

Our yearly Caribbean destination brought us to the island of Nevis. Since we like to wander and cook our own meals we rented from Paula and Lynn. What a relaxing and SPOTLESS home to call ours for a week. This home overlooks Oulee Beach and the island of St. Kitts. We spent many hours reading, swimming, and observing nature at its best (and we never had to leave the patio!) Paula and Lynn are gracious accommodating hosts. They sent detailed instructions explaining how to travel by ferry from St. Kitts and even picked us up at the ferry. This little detail really set the tone for our vacation, but what was amazing is that Paula even took us to a grocery store to pick-up a few provisions. When we finally reached our destination, our car rental was waiting for us in the yard. Wow, no stress, just nice people ready to share their Caribbean secret!

Round Hill Cottage was our home away from home for our first visit to Nevis. We got connected to Round HIll Cottage through friends who have visited Nevis many many times. It was everything they had described and more. The cottage is in a lovely setting overlooking Oualie Beach, offering breathtaking views of the sea and nearby St. Kitts. We have not stayed at a more private and picturesque location in any of our visits to the Caribbean. The doors connecting the cottage to the screened in porch fold open to allow great ocean breezes and a remarkable view from any place in the cottage or on the porch. Though we wanted to explore the island because this was our first visit, we could have spent hours just relaxing on the enclosed screened porch just watching the sea and the ships and the passing clouds. The place is simply but carefully furnished with a full kitchen and modern appliances and is tastefully decorated with white walls, louvered window openings, and a white ceramic tile floor. The place was spotless when we arrived after being picked up at the ferry dock by Paula, one of the owners, who also gave us a tour of much of the west side of the island on the way to the property. The other huge plus for our stay was our welcome from Paula and Lynn, the owners of the property on which the cottage is located. Their villa is located close to the cottage, and they are close by if anything is needed, but the location of the cottage provides complete privacy, and we were left alone unless we had questions. Paula and Lynn were two of the most gracious hosts we have ever had at either a cottage or villa rental or bed and breakfast. The cottage is also ideally located for exploring the island, close to great beaches like Lover's Beach, Oualie Beach, Pinney Beach, and the beach at Nisbet Plantation. Because of its proximity to these great beaches, it is also close to many of the best restaurants on the island of Nevis. Paula and Lynn provide a guest book with suggestions for restaurants and activities. We did a great deal of research before our visit, but a most of what we needed to know about excursions, points of interest, shopping, beaches, and other activities could be found in the guest book. Another plus to the cottage's location is its proximity to Oualie Beach which offers snorkeling trips, kayak and bike rentals, and a nearby beach to just relax and hang out. Round Hill Cottage was a great find and highly recommended to our friends.

One of the best ocean views in the Caribbean according to us. We stayed at the smaller cottage slightly down the hill from #261243 and looked further down the hill to Qualie Bay and also two or three miles across a strait to St. Kitts. We never got tired of the view while we used wi-fi, ate, or read. The cottage is built with great excellence and could not be improved. The large, tiled, screened porch seems like part of the studio because of the central, large, folding doorway between deck and studio. The owners could not be more accommodating and nice. No surprise -- they're Canadian. The island had some gourmet restaurant experiences that far exceeded our expectations, especially a lobster sandwich.

(Posted on Nevis1 Forum - Review of the Cottage) We have just returned from a 15 day visit to SKN, with 12 days on Nevis with our 2 children under 3 years in tow. While in Nevis we stayed at Round Hill Cottage. Paula and Lynn could not have been more gracious and accommodating throughout our stay, going well out of their way to help make our stay smooth, comfortable and very enjoyable. The Cottage, while physically small ( @ 420 sq ft inside) felt very spacious and is well laid out and equipped. The cottage is simply laid out and furnished but is very clean and secure and well maintained. The screened in verandah extends the living space well to the out doors with an incredible view out over Oualie Beach and Hurricane Cove and St Kitts beyond. The cottage floats on the hillside with treetops and shrubs completely surrounding it, so there are birds all day and the local monkey troop made it's way down the hillside every morning stopping off in the trees just outside the porch every morning. While designed as a studio (shared living and BR space) for a couple, it functioned very well for us even with the 2 kids. Paula even found us a Pack & Play to help us contain our highly mobile 18 month old when no one else could. Thanks again Paula!

" We're in !!!!!!Sonia was great. She met us off the Charlestown ferry at 6:00 pm. We picked up the car, in the dark, at Gajor's lot(just the other side of the police station in Charlestown) It's the same car we had last year. So that's good.We have yet to see Gajor , but you know "life's a gamble, man!" It has been a long day and we're tired, but the view off the porch of the stars, the 80 degrees temperature and the sound of the peepers at night are worth it!!!! Its Friday night on Nevis and the barbecues are going at the ferry docks with the lovely loud beat of the music. How do they hear themselves think? Anyway, The house looks great and all is well. Just thought you would like to know....."

"After starting out with a major sleep deficit and a very long first day, Sonia delivered us to the cottage. We enjoyed meeting her and Billy. After settling in, we walked down the Hill and quickly learned that rum punch and heat are not conducive to an easy return to the cottage! By Thursday we had the car. The cottage was fantastic!! Everything about it worked for us. We really appreciated the very comfortable bed and linens, the beautiful quality towels, the gorgeous paintings, and the general decor. Loved that ceramic tile floor! I took pictures of all your pictures and especially loved the one over the dresser and the rooster! I would love to know where you got those... It's a good thing the kitchen was so well equipped because so many restaurants were either closed or gone, and Gallipot's prices were much higher than we thought they would be. One of the things we enjoyed most was the Botanical Gardens, we spent over 2 hours there. The restaurant there was also closed so we went to Golden Rock Plantation and were amazed at what they have done there. Beautiful!! My favourite thing was swimming at Oualie Beach, I spent a lot of time in the water. We really appreciated having that phone. Although we only used it a couple of times, it was came in very handy. Your big house is really something. As Bob read in the hammock, and I basked in the sun, we felt like the rich and famous!! Thank you for that. So now we are back home and enjoying our Thanksgiving morning. We are grateful for many things, one being our lovely visit to Nevis."

"Just a short note to thank you again for all your help with our holiday on Nevis. We really enjoyed our stay and the rare opportunity to escape from all the hassles and stresses of everyday life in such a beautiful environment. Back in London, it's dark and snow is forecast for the weekend - hope you are making the most of your sunshine! Very best wishes from us both."

Sept 25/08 "My wife & I spent a perfect week at Round Hill Cottage in early July 2008. The owner was a pleasure to deal with and very helpful easing the way for our first visit to Nevis. Their on-island manager was superb - met our plane, took us for a driver's license, made sure the rental car was waiting at the cottage & then led us to the grocery store. The cottage was clean, well equipped and plenty spacious for 2. The view? SPECTACULAR!. Sitting on the very private screened porch you looked out on postcard views - Oualie Beach below and St. Kitts 2 miles away."

"I wanted to tell you what a great time we had. Nevis was great and the cottage perfect. Feel free to use us as a reference any time you need to. Sonia was great! Met us at the airport, despite our unplanned arrival on the later flight (American Eagle had problems - supposedly weather in Nevis limited capacity on the plane and a bunch of us had to wait for the later flight. Sounds fishy, but I probably didn't want to be on a flight where they felt they had to limit the number of passengers to 20 on a plane that could take 100). She immediately took us for a driver's license & then to the cottage. Showed us around & then led us into Charlestown for groceries. Then she phoned later to make sure we got back to the cottage. She couldn't have made our "acclamation" to the island any easier. The cottage was perfect for the 2 of us. Well equipped, certainly large enough, in good condition and just a very nice place to be. Extremely private with a view that was really just spectacular. The rental was waiting for us at the cottage (I called the day before we were to arrive, as he said to, and presto, the truck was there). Again, Sonia made the extra effort - turns out she had called Gajor before we got there just to confirm that he would have the truck at the cottage. I had to call Gajor a few times to get him interested in getting paid. It just didn't seem to be a priority with him. We finally met, paid him and made arrangements to leave the rental at the airport. Painless. The island was beautiful, the beaches better than they are generally given credit for, and the people seemed genuinely happy to see us. Nevis (and your cottage) are a vacation that both my wife and I would repeat, and that is rare. Usually the urge to keep trying different islands is stronger than the urge to repeat. Not so with Nevis. Again, please do not hesitate to use us as a reference. You were easy to deal with, the cottage and Nevis were better than "advertised" and Sonia and Gajor were great. Pretty impressive vacation package. Thanks for everything"

" My wife and I spent 2 weeks in Feburary at the Round Hill Cottage while thoroughly enjoying activities on Nevis. The cottage is bright and cheerfull, well furnished and nicely decorated with pictures and small art pieces. We ate our meals on the screened in porch which doubles as a sitting area overlooking Oulie Beach resort. We appreciated having cable TV and high speed internet connection to maintain contact with friends and dealing with important matters at home that needed attention. We were very happy staying at the cottage and hope to do it again!"
