WELCOME
Wake up to a vista of sparkling sea outside your bedroom window. This simple and sweet cottage is fully updated while retaining its old-fashioned charm. It is a wonderful family vacation rental perfect for all but the youngest children (because it so close to the water). Located in Point O’ Woods, a private beach community, it is close to historic Old Lyme as well as to Ocean Beach Park, Mystic Seaport and Mystic Aquarium.
The first floor features a living room, dining room, powder room, back porch and screened front porch directly overlooking Long Island Sound. Upstairs are three bedrooms, one with twin beds and two with double beds facing the ocean, plus a full bath.
There is a flatscreen TV of modest proportions and CD/tape music system.
The charm of this home is its simplicity and comfort and the safe, friendly community of Point O’ Woods. Kids can have lots of freedom to ride their bikes, head to the beach or hunt down the ice cream truck.
Feel free to use our two-person kayak or Sunfish sailboat…or just kick back on the screened porch and enjoy the sea breeze.
NEARBY FUN:
You may never feel a need to go anywhere, but if you do….Old Lyme is filled with antiques and art, including the Old Lyme Art Association. Also nearby are Rocky Neck State Park, Harkness Memorial State Park, Mystic Seaport, Mystic Aquarium. Ferries to Block Island and Long Island leave from nearby New London. Gamblers and gawkers may head to Foxwoods or Mohegan Sun. You can also visit Connecticut College, Mitchell College and the Coast Guard Academy. Boston and New York City are easily accessed via car (I-95), train or bus from New London or Old Saybrook.

A 50% deposit, plus security is required upon making reservation. The remaining
balance is due one week prior to check in.
