This quintessential chalet, with a gentle down slope driveway, sits surrounded by Sierra trees on a quiet street in Big Trees Village, just 5 miles east of Arnold at the 5100 ft elevation. In the winter, you're virtually guaranteed snow, and in summer, temperatures don't peak past the point of perfectly comfortable.
With 3 bedrooms plus a loft and 2 bathrooms, sleeping arrangements include a king in one bedroom, queens in the other two, a queen futon in the loft, and a twin roll-away bed on the lower level. The kitchen is fully equipped to prepare your mountain cuisine, and the cooks won't miss a moment of fun because it's right off the great room. From the dining area you can enjoy the cabin ambience of the vaulted ceilings and look out the big picture windows. Unwind and relax with 2 TVs with VCR and DVD, movies and games, puzzles and a stereo. Or if you must, utilize the Wi-Fi for your fix of email and work (maybe you can even stretch your vacation a little longer!). The newly installed forced air gas heating system and cozy woodstove will keep you toasty in the wintertime.

Why the Owner Chose Dorrington
Our cabin is located on a quiet street with easy, nearly level access (perfect for the winter months) and room to play outside (year round). We felt that it would be a perfect family-friendly setting, and it couldn't be more true. The deck in particular is really private and enjoyable. We also love the fact that it's just a quick drive up to Bear Valley, Lake Alpine, and also a short drive back down to Arnold and Murphy's for restaurants, wine tasting, cave exploring, and much more.
The Unique Benefits of this Cabin
The cabin has soaring cathedral ceilings and lends perfect chalet ambiance. The floor plan allows multiple families to spread out, sleep and play, too. We really enjoy each season to its fullest (spring and fall are quiet in this area, and we feel like we have the mountain to ourselves!). Wi-Fi allows us to stay in touch and work from the cabin, and you'll notice that we have a renowned collection of DVDs and videos, which are perfect for a snowy evening by the fire. Pets are very welcome here and they love the mountains as much as we do! Come one, come all-- it's a perfect getaway cabin for everyone involved!
