My husband and I are not ones to do the same thing twice; we enjoy adventure and change. However we will def. be back to Bald Head Island; my husband even said that he thinks we could make this a traditional event. This house was perfect! It was a short golf cart ride to the market and shops; the peir for a morning stroll and coffee pick up; to the beach; and fairy! The screened in porch was awesome to sit on at night and the size and rooms were spacious enough but not to big: they do a great job of making it feel like your home away from home.

Recommended for:Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

We stayed two full weeks and what a dream! Bald Head has long been a favorite destination of ours and this was our best visit yet Your home is lovely, comfortable, light filled and the perfect "home away from home" for our family. Thanks for your attention to the little things!

We had a wonderful time in BHI and thoroughly enjoyed your home. The house is located in the middle of the island so everything ( beaches, market, restaurants, marina ) was a short golf cart trip away. The home is clean , bright, well decorated and very comfortable. We used the temporary membership to the Shoals club, which was perfect. It had a great beach, pools, indoor and an out door restaurant. Carrie was a pleasure to work with. She is polite , responded to my questions promptly and was very easy to communicate with. We will come and stay at this home again !

Great way to start the Summer

Our family really enjoyed the time we spent here. The house has everything that you can think of from kitchen supplies to board games to beach toys. Just pack your clothes and food and catch the ferry. The location is in the middle of the island which we were not sure that we would like. However, we found that it was cooler and less windy than those with ocean views. From this house, you are no more than a 5 minute golf cart ride to whatever beach you want to go to. After a couple days, our kids had named the beaches: Shell beach, Wave beach, Fishing beach, etc. We can not wait to go back.

Our family had a wonderful visit at 6 Sabal Palm. We have stayed on BHI many times in the past and staying at this home was one of our favorite stays. The home is very clean, very spacious living/dining/kitchen area, the kitchen is well stocked for cooking, plenty of games for the children to play and a very relaxing location. The owners are wonderful to communicate/keep in contact with before, during and after our stay. We'll definitely be back!

Your house was bright, clean, and in excellent condition. Because we have young children, we were never away from the house for more than three or four hours. Our week long stay at 6 Sabal Palm was wonderful - from the moment we first contacted Carrie to the moment we left, they were gracious, responsive, and very inviting. The home was terrific at every level - comfortable, well appointed, classic and tasteful. Our children felt right at home from the moment we arrived. We will definitely be back to visit this amazing place some day and would highly recommend this home!

Beautiful Beach House

We stayed at 6 Sabal Palm for a month. What a beautiful (and clean) house. The layout and size were perfect - it felt like home at the beach. Very bright and airy. No detail was left untouched - granite, light dimmers, goose down, hard wood floors, beachy, comfy frunishings.The location was also great - turtles just a few steps away for the little ones. We will absolutely be back and HIGHLY recommend that you visit. The owners of the home are helpful and caring. Thanks for or memories and making our time @ Bald Head so special!

This was my first trip to Bald Head Island and I am very thankful I found this adorable cottage. The cottage offers everything that you could ask for and above all it gives that - "Welcome to Our Home" feeling. It only took a total of one day to reserve this precious cottage and I could not have asked for a more lovely couple to deal with. We have stayed here multiple times and the accomodation enhances our vacation on Bald Head each time. Ideally situated in the Maritime Forest, this home has all the amenities you need (well stocked kitchen, laundry facilities, lovely decor) with gorgeous natural surroundings -turtles, herons, butterflies, birds and aligators! And that's all before you go to the beach...

We have stayed at this lovely home twice now and we loved it. It is beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and perfectly situated mid-island so that it is convenient to all activities on the island. There is a lovely grill area where you can sit out and watch the turtles. The golf cart is spacious and fun for the kids. The beaches are beautiful and it feels like a real vacation. We highly recommend this home and will return again!

Bald Head Island is a lovely area to go and get away from it all! This house is mid island and you feel like you are in another world. We loved it. The house is nicely decorated and very well furnished with all that you would need on vacation. It also was very clean! We will DEFINITELY rent this house again.
