This exceptional house was historically a live-in artist’s studio, one of twelve houses specially built for British artists to live and work in, in the mid-19th century. Accessed through a private road and charming courtyard, the Primrose Hill Studios enclave is one of London’s hidden jewels, rich in cultural history. Many of Britain’s leading artists have lived here, including J.W. Waterhouse, Arthur Rackham, and – more recently – John Hoyland and Patrick Caulfield.
The location is exceptionally tranquil and yet just a few steps from bus, underground, train and taxi links. Central London is easily accessed by public transport or a lovely walk across Regent’s Park, with its world-famous theatres, concert halls, cultural centres, strolls along the river, historic outings, museums, world-class restaurants and… the list is truly endless!
Three minutes walk from the house is Primrose Hill, a lovely park that offers one of the best views across the whole of London. The interior is freshly decorated in white and natural tones, with a new oak wood floor throughout.
The Studio is fully furnished and equipped, with linens provided, ready to welcome you in comfort.

The owner's description is completely accurate. 7 Primrose Hill Studios is a comfortable, charming, handsome place, wonderfully situated in a lively residential area. We felt like Londoners rather than tourists, shopping at the local markets, having dinner in the restaurants and pubs and walking in the neighborhood. The subway is a ten minute walk, the bus stops two blocks away. This is a perfect London vacation rental.

We loved our stay at this beautifully-decorated and quiet Primrose Hill apartment. The neighborhood is fantastic and fun, the park and high street are just around the corner, and the flat itself is tucked away in a private, leafy courtyard. We are do a lot of cooking and found the kitchen well-appointed. The furniture is modern and classy, making the most of the huge, bright windows and high ceilings. The flat was the perfect base for our working vacation (the office loft is a great place to write, by the way) as well as for our young son to explore. The owners were helpful and accommodating, and there were little details that make the place very special. We hope to return soon!

We stayed in this beautiful house in May 2010 and it was ideal. The house is full of light and has a well-stocked kitchen. Primrose Hill is a very charming, quiet neighborhood, with many lovely stores and restaurants. The very lively Camden Town, where you'll find outdoor markets, wonderful food stands and the canals, is only a few blocks away. It's short walk to a tube station and a nice stroll to Regents Park. We would happily stay here again on our next trip to London.

My wife and myself feel truly privileged having had the opportunity to reside in this outstanding property. From the presentation of this property on the internet we expected a unique, grand, precious, and extravagant experience. What can I say, the house exceeded all our expectations. The owners and neighbors are extremely helpful and friendly. From the moment we arrived everything felt just right... as if we had lived there for years. One month was not enough. We simply cannot wait to return. Hopefully soon in 2010.

My family and I have spent 3 weeks in this property in August 2009. We loved everything about it: the beautiful house, the excellent location close to the parc, the lovely neighbourhood, the kind owners and neighbours. We can recoomend it to anybody who values great quality and wants to spend an unforgettable time in London.
