This cozy, comfortably furnished two bedroom, one bath condominium unit is located next to beautiful Silver Lake, just 9 miles north of Idaho Springs (Exit 238 on I-70). This is the best mountain get-away value you will find in the Rocky Mountains. Compare and you won't find a better vacation spot for the price. Whether you're just escaping for some fresh mountain air, or leaving the rat race for an extended retreat in crisp alpine air, this modest, but warmly furnished condo near the Continental Divide is most likely the perfect place for you. It's not unusual to hook a 5 lb. trout in eiter of the two private lakes next to the property. Silver Lake is less than 50 yards from condo.(Fishing badge included with the rental - no state fishing license required). Take a side trip to the Historic 24/7 gambling towns of Central City and Black Hawk ( 30 min. ) or Raft and Zipline in Idaho Springs ( 15 min. )
Write that book, or read a few by the fire, or just open the window and listen to the tranquil sound of the adjacent stream. The condo is located at an elevation of 10,000 feet plus, but is only 45 minutes from Denver, and less than a half hour drive to major ski areas and mountain gambling towns. Hiking, Rafting, ATV and 4-Wheel drive trails galore!! Fish in two well stocked private lakes --- take a 10 minute hike to the Glacier SNOW yearround.--Located near the base of a proposed new ski facility! All this for less than you might pay at an area Motel -- for a ROOM!

This was a great destination with amazing scenery. Alex is very accommodating and has a nice condo. The glacier this time of year was unreal! Serene beauty without loads of people. Quick drive from Denver and close to brewery, shops and adventure in Idaho Springs or across the Continental Divide. I will definitely be back.Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers.
Owner response: Thanks Courtney, its good to hear you had a good time. I look forward to your return trip. This area has something to offer yeararound.

We enjoyed our trip to Colorado and found this to be a great location. We were able to access Rocky Mountain National Park on both the west and east sides, visit Pikes Peak and Aspen/Maroon Bells. We wanted to see as much of Colorado as possible and found this to be a great central location. Condo was cozy and laundry facilities were a great plus. My husband greatly enjoyed the fishing and we hiked to the glacier several times during our stay. Great value. Owner was very responsive.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children.
Owner response: Thank you guys. Glad you enjoyed your stay. Also glad you got to see so much of the beautiful Colorado mountains. Hope you can make it back in the future.

The condo was everything we were expecting and more for the affordable price. We spent most of our days hiking and exploring the surrounding areas. The scenery was spectacture. The condo included everything needed for cooking meals, relaxing and hanging out. The only drawback was the mattress springs in the master bedroom are wornout and causing one to roll toward the center of the bed and an uncomfortable nights rest. Beside that, I would go back in a heartbeat to enjoy all that St. Mary's Glacier and this condo has to offer.Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers.
Owner response: Thanks Chris -- Glad you enjoyed the condo and found it to be a good value. I'll be checking out that matress. We would be glad to have you back anytime!

This was our second time at this condo, and it was just as great as the first! Our two kids, six and ten, love it at St. Mary's Glacier. We hiked, went to the hot springs in Idaho Springs and plan to go gold mining next time we come up. We love it b/c it's so quiet and beautiful there, and it helps us to "slow down" and enjoy some quality family time. Thank you for a wonderful experience!!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with young children.
Owner response: you guys are always welcome. Hope to hear from you in the summer!

There were four people taking showers - water was lukewarm by the third shower. We had the FLH on in the bathroom and a blow dryer going in the outer part and blew a circuit. We hiked to the glacier - beautiful day - beautiful view.Recommended for: Sightseeing, pet owners, age 55+.
Owner response: Thanks for letting me know about the HW. I've got my maintenance guy checking it out-as well as the circuit. Hope it did not cause too much inconvenience. Glad to hear you had a good time and got to enjoy a beautiful day up at the Glacier!

This was a great getaway for us. We had a super time just relaxing and strolling about the area. The condo was a perfect space for us and we enjoyed the cozy fire and the beautiful views. The condo was exactly as described and it was awesome to have a full kitchen with everything we needed. The owner was super flexible in accommodating our last minute reservation. I would definitely go again and recommend to anyone looking for an easy and serene getaway.Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.
