Listing description accurate. Enjoyed the corner suite with ground floor patio and our own "garden." Spent time relaxing in comfortable patio furniture. Photos accurately reflected the rental's appearance. The property was clean, the kitchen was especially well equipped and the furnishings were comfortable and the decor lovely. Everything put us in the Hawaiian vacation mood. Also appreciated great free parking spot with easy access to our condo. The owners were extremely helpful, and went out of their way to accommodate us and answer any questions. Appreciated the free long distance calls to anywhere in North America. I would recommend this property to a friend or relative, but my husband and I want to make sure there will be room for us each year! For brisk exercise each morning we walked up the hill to the Marriott at Wailea to the Starbucks. We then walked back along the walkway, beach and beautiful ocean trail back to the our condo in Kihei. I would recommend that for a breathtaking view and a great workout. Good snorkeling at Kamaole Beach. Lovely beach and not too crowded. Shopping nearby for basics and a variety of Hawaiian souveniers. Very reasonable gourmet cuisine at Cafe Ole. Fish Tacos at Fred's and Pub Food at Moose McGilicutty's. Breakfast at the Five Palms is worth the expense. The view is spectacular. Enjoyed Wailea Shopping Mall. Wonderful art galleries and lovely shops. Beautiful gardens around these hotels in this area. Take a tour of the gardens at the various hotels. Recommend a guided tour to Hana with Valley Isle, 2 hour Whale Watching Tour with Trilogy was exciting and informative, and the Luau in Lahaina with good food and a magnificent show. Thanks to the owners for providing us with everything we needed for a comfortable and wonderful vacation in Paradise.

January on Maui

We had a wonderful stay at "Palekaiko" at Kihei Akahi - the weather was beautiful the entire time we were there and the beaches were great. We would definitely recommend this property to anyone asking about Maui vacations.

Enjoyed a fantastic week-long stay at Palekaiko. Very clean and up-to-date space with great appliances. Super location, so close to pool and bbq. I appreciated how well-organized the unit is (doesn't leave any questions to be answered) and the access to a concierge service. Highly recommend Palekaiko!

We loved the modern and well equipped condo. It had all the luxuries and conveniences of home. Awesome appliances, comfortable beds, flat screen TVs, towels and linens, numerous kitchen appliances/pot and pans/dishes/glasses/ETC... Little things were so well thought out for their guests. A cooler for the beach, beach chairs for 6 people, beach toys for the kids, etc... The location is awesome! Out the lanai the pool is only steps away. The BBQ facility at the pool allowed us so many opportunities for different meals. The beautiful beach is just across the street and only minutes away. The central location of the condo is exceptional. Palekaiko is so close to so many things; groceries, restaurants, pubs, beaches, shopping and of course shaved ice. How has shaved ice stayed such a secret here in Canada? Parking is convenient and secure. The grounds are exceptional and well manicured. Della and Keith have made their condo feel like our home away from home. They are exceptional hosts and made it one of the most enjoyable and relaxing stays ever. Thanks so much Della and Keith. We are already planning our return.

I was very pleased with the accommodations. The condo is comfortable, spacious, well stocked and felt like home away from home! Residents, other guests and onsite manager are very friendly and kind. I could easily live there full time! I would definitely recommend the condo to anyone and would stay there again. Activities: Highly recommend zip lining! Had a blast!

Overall, the condo was very nicely furnished. Location proximity to the pool/bbq was great. Beach access is walkable. The only thing we could think of that would be helpful is some more kid-friendly dishes and furniture. The glass table and bar stools were a little high for our 3 year old, and some non-breakable plastic kid dishes (cups/plates) would have been great. Love the beach toys, chairs, etc. that were available. Plenty of room and very well maintained!

Your place is really wonderful.. no... perhaps that it understating it - it is just amazing. Every day something new would make an impression on us - something in the layout of the place, amenities you provided, the proximity and ease of dealing with everything, close to a wonderful beach (not a lot of surf, close to great snorkelling on the rock point (yes, we saw a turtle there and watched him for ~10 minutes). Of course it helped that we had great weather. Did a trip up Haleakela, did the Plantation tour and Sugar Museum and on and on... So it was a great trip and we very much enjoyed ourselves and your place just made it

We had a great time in your condo. The location was very private and we loved the pool being just a few steps from the lanai. The couch on the lanai is a great place to read and nap in the shade. The upgrades you made are very nice and the kitchen was well equipped and the gas stove was great, since I am used to that at home. Great to have all the beach chairs, cooler, beach towels and toys that you provided as well. We had a great time and would not hesitate to book your condo again. Thanks for sharing such a wonderful place to visit.

I wanted to thank both of you for sharing your wonderful Maui retreat with us. The condo and amenities suited us perfectly in every way. We used the pool every day (at least once) and in the second week discovered that we could stand the heat to play a little tennis in the late afternoon. The size and lay out of the condo itself were also perfect allowing just enough space for the 4 of us when we needed a break from each other and a cool respit in the middle of the warmer days. We also found the location great because we were not in the center of a busy area and only a short walk away from the beach (which was nicely underused!) but also close enough to stores and shops to pick up a morning latte or a quick (relatively inexpensive) bite to eat or last minute souvenir. I have to say again that we had an excellent holiday and staying at Palekaiko was a big part of that. I am more than happy to recommend your place to others and just hope we can return in the future too!

We just recently had our family stay here and had a great time. Close to nice pool (10 Meters), great beaches (50 Meters) and very centrally located. Very clean, Very Quiet location. This one is a must if you are planning with the family! Finally great owners who went out of their way to give information!

We had an amazing time. We all commented on how lucky we were to find your rental, the location and unit was perfect. Sometimes the pictures you see for rentals on the web are too good to be true, in this case the pictures didn't do the place justice. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Our group of consisted of two families with a toddler and baby and we found this rental perfect for accommodating us. The unit is in a great location and beautiful, we highly recommend it.
