This Comfy Vintage Loft is located on the second-story of a Victorian Building right in the heart of historic downtown Salida. We've completely renovated it, including refinishing the original wood floors, fixing up the original wood trim, adding some beautiful crown mold to the 13 foot ceilings, upholstered some of the walls with a beautiful fabric, adding a great checkerboard floor to the kitchen and bathroom, new distressed black kitchen cabinets, granite counter tops, new bath fixtures and trim, and just a lot of TLC.
In the bedroom you'll find a cozy Queen bed with a quilt, antique wardrobe, and a huge window with the best view downtown. The Living Area has a soft recliner, leather love seat, antique table with four slip-covered chairs, (it's also a chess/checkers table) a flat screen TV with DVD player, movies and books.
There's a nice futon with linens available for a 3rd and/or 4th person.

We came to Salida for my cousin's wedding. We happened upon this place because I hate hotels. I can't tell you how excited I was that we found it!! We fell in love and I immediately wanted to buy it! At first Salida didn't seem so lovely, but it grew on me as we explored - Friendly people, cool vibe, immediate sense of home! We will be back! About the owner: Almost 'native' -we've been here since '69 & '75. He moved in 1/2 block away. Just celebrated our 30th. Raised our family here, our kiddos are raising their families here, we run about 6 businesses here, ...we love it here.
