  I rented this cottage for my friends visiting from Norway and it was a huge success. The cottage is absolutely adorable. It's clean, bright, spacious, cheerful and decorated better than any rental I have ever seen!! I wanted to move in after seeing it! The cottage is impeccably decorated with a charming and perfect blend of beach and designer furnishings. The house feels more like a home than a rental as everything is in perfect shape with like new appliances and furnishings. I would rent this place to live in year round! Being on the Island is as good as it gets. My friends left saying it was the trip of a lifetime, and they can't wait to return. The adorable house is not the only perk, the owner Kari is as good as it gets. She was an absolute delight to meet in person, and she truly wants the renter to feel as if it is their own space for the week. She respects the privacy of the renter, but is there for you if you need anything. She has everything you need in the house to make your vacation complete. This is a MUST see and having lived on the Island for ten years I know what most of the rentals look like, and can truly say that this rental is far superior to what is on the market. My friends will be back to rent this home every summer. The Island offers everything you need from close proximity to the beach, grocery stores, shopping, Fashion Island, Laguna Beach, etc. The safety and close knit community of the Island provides the perfect environment for families. We will be booking this rental again next year! Thank you Kari for making their vacation perfect!!!!

  We rented this special cottage for the winter period September 2011 through June 2012. The home is very comfortable, clean and charming with lovely hardwood floors, old fashioned fireplace, an upgraded, well equipped kitchen and two nice sized patios. The master bedroom is spacious and there's plenty of closet space. The second bedroom is sweet with twin beds and a large bathroom. There's a new, 50" flat screen TV and DVD player in the cozy living room. We had many memorable evenings barbecuing on the back patio and enjoying the peaceful ambiance in the front. It's beautifully landscaped with plenty of flowers, trees and plants. The owner is friendly and helpful. She takes very good care of her home and she was a pleasure to deal with. Lastly, this cottage is one block from all of the restaurants and shops on Marine Avenue and, of course, it's about a block to the water. A really terrific location, we loved it!

  What a beautiful cottage this is! The photographs show it well but it is actually larger than it appears in the pictures. We have rented on Catalina & Balboa for over 33 yrs., with lots of different houses, but this one is our favorite. The owner is charming, friendly, available, and attentive to questions. We enjoyed all of the rooms, but the outdoor space is charming. The location is perfect, close to shops, restaurants, etc. but it was still quiet and relaxing.

  We had an absolutely wonderful time at your home on Balboa. We loved the hardwood floors and plantation shutters. Our favorite "spot" was on your front patio with coffee and paper in the am and then wine and appetizers later in the day... The location was perfect to get to town for a Balboa Bar, and some groceries from Hershey's... and other shopping. We were equi-distant to the N and S bayfronts, so we got to mix it up a bit... My 5 yr old got a fishing pole so we went to the public dock on S. Bayfront to fish after a day on the sand on the N. Bayfront (the exact same spot I grew up on with my parents and our friends 25 yrs ago). Thank you so much for renting your home to us. We love continuing the Balboa tradition with our son. We can't wait to stay two weeks next Summer!

FLEXIBLE - I welcome weekly, monthly and short term options.
50% deposit required for reservation.
Balance plus $500 refundable security deposit due two weeks prior to arrival.
Mandatory cleaning fee.
10% Newport Beach City Lodging tax will be added to total (30+ days exempt).
Additional $500 security deposit for approved dog/s.
