Relax and tan on the sundeck or stroll along the 7 miles of inviting, sandy beaches. Cool off in the sparkling, clean oceanfront pool, or even if the weather doesn't cooperate, take a dip in the indoor oceanfront pool or hot tub.
When it's time for more fun and adventure. There are a wide variety of wonderful foods available at numerous restaurants. Sample our award winning chowder, dine on fresh catches by the sea, walk to the waterfront tiki bar, retreat to cozy Italian, Chinese, & Mexican restaurants, or other dishes of your choice! Or maybe just a family evening grilling big juicy steaks or delectable flounder outdoors at the seashore.
By the time your palette is satisfied, our lovely island offers NC's largest Aquarium, Fort Fisher Museum, exploring the Cape Fear River & Carolina Beach State Park, plus more! You can enjoy the ferry ride to Southport, a sleepy, historic, fishing village 30 minutes south complete with it's own enchanting package of events. Or perhaps a trip to nearby Orton Plantation, Airlie Gardens, Brunswick Town, Battleship North Carolina, Historic downtown Wilmington, Myrtle Beach, Jungle Rapids or Fort Cashwell, just to name a few.

Summer is our peak, but do remember fall & spring are gorgeous too. Azalea Festival comes in spring which features live music, garden & historic home tours, parade, food and crafts all along the scenic Cape Fear River. "Stop wishin' and go fishin'", is the motto of many locals during the fall. Enjoy the October Fest and Jazz Festivals...Plus, rates are lower!
