This is the last step to make an all inclusive experience in the Outer Banks for the water sports enthusiasts. Those who visit the property for lessons, camps or gear would always ask, where should we stay???......so Watermen's Retreat was built for all of those who wanted to stay on site after being on the water all day!! REAL Watersports created ‘on-the-fly’ coaching to use personal watercraft as a teaching tool so instructors can be with students 100 percent of the time and make the experience as fun and safe as possible. The approach earned REAL Outside magazine’s “Top 10 Adventure Camps in the World” distinction in 2004. Ever since they’ve been helping turn an extreme sport into a mainstream activity. Developing the sport, instruction and now accommodation makes Watermen's Retreat the best place to rest after a full day playing on the Pamlico Sound or Atlantic Ocean.

Watermen's Retreat was so much nicer than I would have ever expected. everything from the teak floor to the custom sinks and counter tops were really sick. I just came here to do some kiteboarding and have a good time, but now I am planning a trip back with my whole family. These are really high end accommodations for a great price. The facility at REAL is REALly amazing!
Recommended for:People with disabilities, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children.

Thank you Waterman’s Retreat. My wife and I spent 5 amazing nights this past October. I was very impressed from the design and the decoration of the units. I have to admit that I actually took some ideas which I can apply in for my own house. The views and the sunsets from your balcony ware amazing. I also want to compliment Steve the chef in the restaurant downstairs and the very professional management of this beautiful building.
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children.
