We could not have asked for a better place to stay during our ski vacation. Our group of 8 (six adults and two children) had plenty of room. The cabin is cozy, yet spacious, We felt right at home from the moment we walked in the door. We basically had everything we needed right at our finger tips and for those things we missed, there was a convenient country store just down the road. The mud room gave us the space to bring our ski gear in from the cold each night. Thanks to the on-site laundry, I returned home with almost no dirty laundry! Jay and Julie were wonderful hosts and made sure that we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The property owners, Anita and Curtis, were qually as wonderful and always prompt in getting back with us. My one an donly suggestion is that anyone who rents this LOVELY cabin bring a humidifier or two! The heat generated by the gas stove paired with the arridmountain air resulted in some serious dryness throughout the body! Thank you so much for a wonderful and memorable vacation. We will be back next year!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

Truly A Home Away From Home, Lots of room and space for everyones privacy, and at the same time very cozy, Located blocks away from Eagels Nest, and short drive away from Angel Fire, Taos, Red River. Property Managers were very friendly and helpful, just a phone call away and ready to answer any questions you might have, such as WI-FI key codes for computor lap tops. We went in June so the weather was great for near by horse back riding, fishing or hiking in the many near by state parks.Plenty of restaurants to choose from but my favorite was in Cimmaron, at the Jessie James Historic hotel ! This was the third year in a row staying in Eagels Nest for vacation, and staying at the cabin just makes that much more enjoyable because you have all the comforts of home but with great scenery , Mountain views are spectacular, and all the fresh air can want, will make your vacation very relaxing. We had great time, Thanks the Whitson FamiilyRecommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

The cabin is very clean and spacious with room to sleep at least 8. The location is good, just outside of Eagle Nest, with nice views. We had a great time. The property managers are very friendly and accessible. All of the amenities were fully functional. I wish we could have stayed longer.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

We were looking for a laidback vacation that the entire family (grandparents, parents and children, twelve in all) could all enjoy. This home was perfectly located between the lake, fishing, horseback riding, river rafting and shopping. There was enough room for each family to have their own space but also gather for meals, games and puzzles. We really appreciated having the full laudry facilities. We loved the porches and the sectacular views. The kitchen was a little tight for more than two adults to work in but with alittle practice we were able to make really good use of the space we had. We are looking forward to making a trip up to Eagle Nest soon and really look forward to staying in this home again!! Thanks for the great week!!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children.

This was our second stay at this location and we loved it! For this trip we had a group of 11 there for a wedding, this was a perfect home base for us to use in getting ready for the wedding as well as just the general running around and sight seeing! It was very spacious and easily accessible for all members of our group, ranging in age from 21 to 78! The hosts on site were very accomodating and were ready to help or provide us with whatever we needed. Lots of shopping, fishing and hiking to be found, nearby, as well as great restaurants. The view out the front or back door is amazing...we thoroughly enjoyed having our morning coffee on the front deck. We would definitely stay here again!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, people with disabilities, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Lots of room for our 3 generations of family. The kids loved the nooks and hiding places. More than enough rooms to fill every need. The owners and property manager were superb and always available for questions. We were close enough to travel to Angel Fire, Red River, Taos and Sipapou. Hope to stay here again.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

We had a great stay...plenty of room for our group of ten, with room to spare actually! The view was great and the location couldn't be better. Owners were great to deal with; we're already planning a trip back. Overall, a great place to "get away from it all", with all the comforts of home.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.
