In our search for an apartment not to far from Simon Fraser University, we were lucky to find this property. Every positive comment you read in the reviews is absolutely true. Great apartment, spectaculair views, very good neighborhood. Sean and Wayne are perfect hosts, very friendly and helpfull. The apartment has everything you need. Lots of space and also lots of stuff in the kitchen cupboards. No need to bring to much groceries! A real home away form home. Burnaby shops and restaurants are very close (less than five minute drive). Vancouver centre is also easy to reach, a fifteen minute drive away. No problems parking there. We have spend a wonderfull week in this apartment and in Vancouver. We sure hope to come here again! Highly recommended to anyone who wants a lot of value for his money!

The place was fantastic for a three generation family. We enjoyed our time and hope the place is available for our next trip to Vancouver. Sean provided us with a pack and play for our grandson and was teriffic in giving directions etc. The views were spectacular. I have no negatives only positive comments.

Ranking: 5 stars Stayed: September 29, 2012 till October 5, 2012 Our family had an excellent vacation staying at this wonderful place for a week. This was the perfect place for our family of two grandparents, three adults, and a young toddler. The house was spacious, spotless, very comfortable, and well supplied. We absolutely loved the location of this house, especially the gorgeous views of the mountains and the harbor from the dining room and upstairs bedrooms. Our family also loved this quiet residential area, good parking spot in front of the house for our rental van, short walking distance to a nearby park, easy access to public transportation, 5 minutes drive to Safe Way, bakeries, fruit markets, cafes and numerous restaurants. Thank you Wayne for your great suggestions on the restaurants, especially the Italian and Japanese places. It was so relaxing eating late night dinners with delicious take outs from the nearby restaurants, nice and quiet with our baby already in bed upstairs, while enjoying the amazing million dollars view from your dinner room. Thank you Sean for providing the baby gates, the Pack and Play, the high chair, the basket of children books and toys, and especially the three vases of beautiful fresh cut flowers for the welcoming touch. Both of you were so friendly, caring, helpful, and had made us feel so welcomed. It was a truly a home away from home vacation experience. We would highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Vancouver, especially family with children.

Great Location, Lovely property

We had a 5 day stay in Vancouver and as first timers to Vancouver we were not quite sure of what area to stay in and the type of property we had rented. We needn't have worried, firstly the House was in a great location. We had rented a car which makes everything so much easier but the property was easy to find and perfectly located to either head into town or alternatively all of the many sights that are out of town. The house itself was ideal, we had 2 adult kids with us so plenty of space, WIFI, BarBQ, and plenty of stuff in the cupboards to make your stay so much more pleasant. Have I mentioned the views? Breakfast overlooking the mountains and the bay was certainly memorable and the website pictures do not do it justice. At the end of the day, just looking out from the lounge with a drink and planning the next day in Vancouver was amazing. And finally Sean and Wayne, nothing was too much trouble. Their home has been made perfect for that Vancouver trip, lots of tips on how to find the best places to eat, to shop and of course to visit. I will certainly be reccommending this house to ANYONE who wants to stay in Vancouver.

This is our first time visiting Vancouver and we truly had a great time. We were so lucky to find this house, which is perfect for our family with small kids and grandparents. Property is clean and spacious, located in a nice and quiet neighborhood. We rent a car and it is convenient to go to attractions. Sean and Wayne are great hosts. Sean is very responsive and since the house is well equipped, we didn't really need to contact her much. The view is really good from the family room. To me, it is not about certain things that you can see. After a day's activity and kids going to bed, calmly sit in the room and look through the window - the feeling is deeply written in my memory.

My family has had many great experiences renting property through VRBO and this was one of the best. We chose this property because it wasn't in the heart of the city yet was conveniently located to all major transportation routes, plus it has great views of the harbor and mountains. We took public transportation to downtown Vancouver, Stanley Park, Granville Island, and Kitsilano Beach and it was only a 3 block walk to pick up the bus. We also drove to Port Moody, Northern Vancouver, and Whistler and the major auto routes are just a few minutes away. Access to the Trans Canada trail also is just down the hill from this property. The home was very well maintained and you couldn't ask for better hosts than Sean and Wayne. Sean was very quick to respond to any inquiries and very patient in helping us work out the rental dates. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this property to anyone wishing to visit the Vancouver area.

We had a great time in Vancouver. For us, a family with 3 kids plus grandmother and granfather was perfect.They were so welcoming and sincerely care about their "vacationers."The condo was very clean and we were able to check in early. It was near to Safe Way, fast food and restaurants.There is truly nothing negative I can say about this house. Maybe the TV room need a confortable sofa. thank you for a lovely vacation! we'll be back!

This was our first trip to Vancouver. We searched the internet for a place to stay near the city and the mountains. Wow! We were very blessed to find this home. Clean(#1 priority for my wife), Spacious rooms(our 2 kids had their own bedrooms)...with mountain views!, Kitchen, large dining/living room with huge window overlooking bay and mountains. The back of house had a deck with grill overlooking again the bay and mountains. The front of house we enjoyed the private garden courtyard(very peaceful). The home is in a large neighborhood situated on a bluff overlooking the bay. We walked everyday to the town of Burnaby and enjoyed the many restaurants, bakeries, cafe's and markets. Vancouver and the Mountains are just 15 minutes away. Our most enjoyable experiences were bike riding on Stanley Park and climbing Grouse Mountain. Also important for us was the owners made you feel like family, very friendly, helpful, available when needed. Have Fun!

We spent one wet, but great week at this lovely home in Burnaby, Vancouver. The accomodations were immaculate. The hosts did everything they could to make our stay memorable. It was a great vacation, enjoyed by all. We highly recommend this as a vacation retreat.

This property is everything as described.The owners go above and beyond being helpful & friendly, their home is spotless, and the view is just beautiful. If we ever get the chance to venture west again we would definitely want to stay in same location. It is spacious and extremely comfortable,and grounds are out of a magazine.Highly recommended!

The property is easy to find, in a nice residential area of Vancouver with very easy access to Down Town Vancouver and the area in general. The property was spotless, very well equipped and the owners hospitable. In fact, the property exceeded our expectations from the description and photos. The owners seemed to have thought of everything and anticipated any needs we might have. We were a three generational party. There were toys for the little ones and a den with a huge TV and lots of DVDs. The outside eating area is lovely and the views from the main room and upstairs bedrooms absolutely beautiful. We liked everything about Vancouver and spent the days exploring and the house was great to come back to at the end of the day. We would unhesitatingly recommend the property, and if we get to go back to Vancouver, we would stay there again!

We stayed at this home last sumemr with our three young boys and the gradnparents. What a perfect place to call home for our week stay exploring Vancouver. Very quiet, extremely clean and welcoming. The owners were fantastic and very easy to work with. We really enjoyed the quiet neighborhoood, including the near by park and the gorgeous view. Would highly recommend this property for any family visiting the Vancouver Area.

We had a fabulous time in your home while attending our son's wedding. The dining room was perfect to accommodate our family get togethers and we really appreciated the patio furniture for lunches/treats outside. You both were so helpful and friendly. Our family stayed in this remarkable home for our son's wedding and it couldn't have been a more suitable venue. There was plenty of space for us, 4 adults & 2 children with an additional 2 children a few nights. The front yard was perfect for the children to play in a secure environment. The proximity to parks and hiking trails was ideal. The absolute highlight of the home is the spectacular view from the dining room and we were able to host visiting families there. Everyone was taken a back with the view. We also enjoyed the little shops on Hastings St ie meat market & deli, fresh fruit & vegetable market and bakeries. The hosts, Sean and Wayne were so gracious,doing everything they could to make our stay comfortable & enjoyable. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this property to our friends and would go back any time if the situation arose. Thank you, Sean and Wayne for adding to the enjoyment of our wedding experience!

Best house to stay

We can't thank Sean and Wayne much. This certainly was the best home we rented in our entire vacation (quite a few in the US that we rented) and the experience was just awesome. We requested a early arrival and Sean was very kind to allow that which is not common except hotels. On our arrival, we found everything that you would like in your own home. With kids, we wanted them to enjoy the home as much and they were made comfortable immediately by Sean getting them Toy Story 2 on a big screen. We never felt out of place here with cooking (lots of spices), flour and other things were made available in the house itself. A list of things to see, stores, etc. was kept on the table as well making it easy for us to find what we may need in the area. It was like making a visitor actually feel at home. The view from the house during the day and night was beautiful. Finally we had to leave but with a cruise to catch and with tons of luggage we were concerned to take it all and with no easily available place to put up this luggage we requested Sean if she could keep them for us for a week (we were not renting the place) and I don't think anyone would have agreed (my experience there) to do that for strangers but Sean was very kind and allowed to put it all in a room. She was way to kind and nice and I feel we have made a friend for life. I definitely recommend anyone and everyone to rent this home for their vacation and I am sure you will be happy for the choice made. Burnaby is about 5-8 kms from Vancouver but very convenience locality to stay as well. If ever, we make a trip to Vancouver, we know we want need to spend a lot of time to find one :)

Firstly I want to say a HUGE thank you to both Sean and Wayne! Their communication before arrival was first class and when we arrived they were SO warm and welcoming! They made sure we had everything we needed and couldn't do enough to make us feel at home. Thank you so much for this :-) We (7 adults in our late 20's) came over for a week for a friends wedding in Vancouver, the house was fantastic, good location, great bedrooms and the view is just breathtaking! We used the local bus to get into downtown Vancouver and hired a car for a few days to go snowbarding (go night-skiing if you get the chance!) on the local mountains and to go further afield. Sean and Wayne left a list of great food/drink places and activities to do which was very helpful. All in all I couldn't recommend tis property enough! Thank you!

We rented this property for a month for a business trip. The experience was amazing and the property owners truly a delight to deal with. They were very professional, organised and personable. The house was amazing, the views spectacular. It is very warm and cozy with many personal touches that make you feel at home. It is not a sparse rental but fully furnished and feels like home. i have rented from vrbo before and this the best rental experience I have had. I would recommed this house for business professional to families with young and old you will not be disappointed. It was very clean, well appointed with a cute courtyard, balcony and ample living space. Internet connection was high speed and reliable connection. There was great proximity to shopping and markets. The owners left a basket of local shopping and restuarant guides that was very useful. A great property, highly recommended.

If you hope to stay at a affordable luxury house with lovely yard, plenty of living space, quality furniture, pillows and beds, and unforgettably beautiful view day-and-night to accompany you and your family during your vacation, this is definitely a house you would love to choose at Vancouver !! Even going nowhere and stay in the house with a coffee and tea by the window to enjoy the sunset and the harbor night lights is so pleasant and romantic !! And, if you want to visit the famous attractions at Vancouver, this house is so close to almost everywhere !! We spend here for 4 nights and we just hate to leave. The owners, Sean and Wayne, are so friendly that you feel great neighboring with them, and you will be assisted whenever you need help to ensure a happy vacation. It's worthy for us to recommend to any future travelers to Vancouver !

This property is outstanding for the quality of service provided by the owners. We were welcomed as if it were a B&B but had the privacy of a vacation rental. Owners were in the tourism industry and will help you out with your requests or needs. Owners leave kitchen fully stocked to no need to spend money on the basics - kitchen was ready to use, salt, olive oil, spices, tea bags, etc all available. Good beds. Great neighborhood, with many many restaurants and shops within a 10 minute walk / 3 minute drive (easy parking) of the home. No need to cook, plenty of take away options near your doorstep! Lots of space for 6 people, and all comforts (washing machines etc) in this house just outside Vancouver with bay views. We appreciated the quiet residential neighborhood, and convenient shopping street about 8 blocks away with many shops, pharmacy, green grocer, 2nd hand book shop, italian delicatessen, restaurants of all nationalities, etc;.. all much cheaper than downtown vancouver. Don't miss visiting Burnaby Mountain when you are there, it is beautiful and worth the visit.

Our stay was wonderful. We had a 3 year old and a 1 year old and the owner was very gracious in preparing the house to make it kid friendly. The house was roomy and had a great view. The kitchen had everything you would need to prepare a meal. It was a nice home away from home to enjoy with our family. We had a park nearby to take the children and a bus stop a few minutes from the house. The owners were helpful in providing information and suggestions on places to shop, eat, and sight see. We would definitely recommend the property to others.

Comfortable and Beautiful Home in Nice Neighborhood

Having such a comfortable and well-kept home in a nice neighborhood to come back to after our days sightseeing made our vacation in Vancouver most enjoyable. There was plenty of room for the five of us. The two bedrooms upstairs each had a TV with cable, and shared a good sized bathroom that had a large jetted tub and shower. The layout of first floor of the house allowed all of us to relax in our own ways. The teenagers and our seven year old had a great time playing games and watching DVDs on the large-screen TV in the media room, while at the same time, the adults enjoyed quiet time drinking coffee at the large dining table, enjoying the panoramic views out of the large picture windows, and also soaking in the peaceful calm of the beautifully landscaped yard in the front of the house. We had a good night's rest on very comfortable bedding, and cooked several meals in a well-stocked kitchen. We brought our laptops, and had no problems getting internet connection. There was a large table near the dining area where we set up our laptops. It was our little 'office' set-up, complete with panoramic views! There was a nearby Safeway and shopping which we found very convenient. There was plenty of street parking, and driving to downtown Vancouver took only 20 minutes. The owner was very gracious and welcoming. She went out of her way to accommodate our needs and requests, and also thoughtfully attended to every detail prior to our arrival. I would highly recommend this property to anyone, and families with children would especially enjoy this beautiful house.

My family and I had the opportunity to stay at this wonderful house for the Victoria Day long weekend. The house itself is extremely clean and well-kept, fully stocked with kitchen utensils, bed linens, towels, movies, games, you name it. The views from the living room and the bedrooms were breathtaking, during the day and night. Lovely neighborhood, awesome location. There were 5 adults staying and we all felt the house was very spacious, plenty of room for us all! The owner was super helpful, she answered all questions and made sure our stay was comfortable. Thank you for your generosity and everything else. Our American cousins loved your house. Will stay again if the opportunity arises. Cheers!

We enjoyed our stay in this house! It was perfect for our family holiday. Our stay was wonderful. We had two little kids with us and the owner was very gracious in preparing the house to make it kid friendly and to accommodate our needs and requests. Internet connection was high speed, the owners left a basket of local shopping and restaurant guides that was very useful. The house was roomy and had a great view. The kitchen had everything you would need !!! Parking was very convenient. We appreciated the quiet residential neighborhood. My only suggestion is to have a small playground for the kids in the garden would be nice. Sean and Wayne, thank you for a great stay. We would highly recommend this property to anyone, and families with children would especially enjoy this beautiful house.

This is your home away from home! My family and I were warmly welcomed by the owner and we felt part of the family, with all our questions answered and a house with terrific views, lovely neighborhood and plenty of room for the five of us. My family and I had the opportunity to stay at this beautiful home over looking the Indian Arm and the North Shore Mountains during the 2010 Olympic Games. The location is superb as it is 15 - 20 minutes to several ski lodges and then 20 minutes to down town for shopping or just a great atmosphere and meal. We had a car during the stay but found the bus line and sky train was much more convenient and took us where we needed to go. The house felt like our home away from home. We had wireless internet access, a large flat screen tv, all cooking essentials, two full baths and the home was very very clean. I would highly recommend this home to anyone wanting a very comfortable stay in a beautiful home in Vancouver!
