Our Christmas at the Clarke Cabin 2011

Guest: beachilady (Rockaway Beach, Oregon)
Date of Stay: 12/23/11 Review Submitted: 01/15/12

We had a great Christmas at the Clarke cabin. The house was warm and inviting when we arrived, Christmas decorations and all. Not much snow had fallen, but on Christmas morning when we were opening our gifts, snow started to fall and we got about three inches. It was beautiful. My son and his girlfriend were there along with Maddy and Cleo, our chocolate and yellow labs. We had a scrumptious meal, prepared by all of us and of course, a little wine was enjoyed. The house was clean and well equipped for all of our needs. Lots of wood so a nice warm fire every night. Thank you to Susie and her family for ensuring a wonderful holiday for us. ==Rae and Laura Owens== Joshua and Katie and Maddy and Cleo

Thank you so much , we are happy that your winter getaway with your family was enjoyable. Susie and Randy and Family

Christmas Get-Away

Guest: Helen (Camas, WA)
Date of Stay: 12/17/11 Review Submitted: 12/23/11

Our familly of 6 + a few older teens had a very enjoyable time at Clarke Cabin. It was exactly as advertised and the owner was prompt and helpful in responding to questions. The location is terrific with easy access to Hwy. 26 and Government Camp. As there was not a lot of snow, we were able to walk our dog-yes, a pet friendly rental- on the terrific trail system which is right by the house. Thank you for providing a relaxing space for our family.

This house was fantastic! Unfortunately we didn't hit up the Ice Axe grill right across the street but we wish we did. The grill had plenty of fuel, and we cooked up plenty of meat. Next time we come to Mt Hood we are staying here again! Simply the best!

Best Cabin Stay EVER

Guest: Portland Ski Bum (Portland, Oregon)
Date of Stay: 03/02/11 Review Submitted: 03/07/11

We had 9 adults staying two nights for a birthday celebration. The property was perfect in every way. Several people commented on how well-kept, clean, and equipped the cabin was. The beds were very comfy, and the wood stove really warmed the place up. To top it off, it snowed every day and the skiing was fantastic. The setting is private, but close enough to town and the highway that access was easy. We took several walks to town for supplies and to visit the local watering hole. I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a great base to recreate from, or just a scenic, cozy place to hunker down and watch it snow. Thanks.

Great place to stay for all sized groups!

Guest: RAMP Sports (Park City, Utah)
Date of Stay: 09/04/09 Review Submitted: 02/24/11

Our ski company was doing product testing in September and stayed here for about a week. It fit 8 of us comfortably, in big comfy fluffy beds (down comforters and all - major plus!) Plenty of bathrooms for everyone to use. Super clean and amazing owners! They even built us a fire so it was warm and cozy upon our arrival! We skied during the day, paddle boarded, wind surfed and went wine tasting near Hood River in the afternoons. Amazing location! Will be back next year, actually can't wait!

Owner response:Thank you for your wonderful review. We do our best to make our guests feel at home. We are so glad you enjoyed your time at our family cabin. We look forward to your next stay with us. Thank you again Happy skiing

The cabin worked out great for our family get-together. Suited all our needs. It was very clean, well equipped with even hair dryers. The owners were very helpful and answered all our questions. The wood stove kept us nice and warm. We would definitely recommend this property to friends and hope to return soon.

My family just stayed in this great home while we were part of a wedding up at Timberline. The house was centrally located, very nice and clean and perfect for families. We have smaller children and felt very safe with the layout. The home has everything you could possibly need. Lots of bedrooms and perfect amount of bathrooms. We'd love to come back in the summer and the winter. Can't wait for our next trip.

Great place!! We stayed between Christmas and New Years. The home accommodated our family and our young adult children's friends. It was extremely comfortable. The location is fabulous. Several times a large group of our family and friends skied from Timberline to the front door of the cabin.
