My wife and I decided to stay in the Tiny Texas House after we had previously stayed at the Lakehouse B&B and enjoyed that stay immensely. While we missed the delicious breakfasts and social aspect of the B&B, the tiny house made up for this with all the amenities perfect for a romantic, private getaway. We enjoyed spending time together going to the Canyon Lake dam, grilling most of our meals, and relaxing under the stars in the hot tub. The owners paid a lot of attention to detail, and we were very impressed with everything. We will definitely be back to try out the other cottages on the property!Did you find this review helpful? If you truly want to get away and have peace and quiet, this is the spot! Quaint, cozy, clean and one of the most comfortable beds my husband and I have ever encountered! Three cottages to choose from, we picked the Tiny Texas House for our first time. Hot tub under the stars was INCREDIBLE!! The weather was clear and crisp! And all of the little details in the cottage were so unique! And if we needed anything, the owner Justin was so accommodating! A truly peaceful and one of a kind getaway! We will be going again as soon as we can. :-)Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Just what we were looking for! We really enjoyed the peace and quiet trip this time of the year. The Texas Tiny House was perfect for the two of us.....we enjoyed swimming in Canyon lake then coming back to sit in the hot tub. With Canyon Lake only a short drive away from Austin, I will definetly be back as this is a perfect place to completely chill out! Highly recommend......take a bottle of wine and you are set!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

My boyfriend and I stayed here at the Texas Tiny House for a night to celebrate my birthday and we had such a good time! The cottage was the perfect size for two and was stocked with everything we needed from wine glasses to kitchen utensils. We cooked our dinner out on the grill and there was also a hot tub that was great for beer-drinking and star-gazing. A nice way to spend the weekend!Did you find this review helpful? My husband and I stayed at the Homestead Cottages last weekend as a little 15 year wedding anniversary getaway and we LOVED it!! If getting away from it all, peace, quiet, seclusion, nature is what you enjoy, this place is perfect. It was a little cold but when we arrived the heater was already warming the place up and the hot tub was ready to go! They even supplied a pitcher of corn for feeding the deer that visit the property every day. We have our fair share of stress at home with 2 teenage boys and this was exactly what the Dr ordered. My husband even had a last minute change in his work schedule and thankfully they had an opening and were able to adjust the dates. Everything you need is supplied just bring your clothes and food then kick back. I wouldn't have changed a thing and I'm sure we WILL be returning. Thanks Homestead Cottages!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

The Tiny Texas house was quaint and relaxing. Nestled in a perfect location in the Hill Country, we were minutes away from Gruene, New Braunsfels, Canyone Lake and more. The house was cozy and very tastefully decorated, the hot tub was situated in a perfect place for relaxing under the stars, and the property was quiet and private. Overall an excellent experience and we plan on returning. *Review found on Tripadvisor*Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 4/4

Perfect location for easy access to both the lake and river by car. Played all day on the water and then came home to our little house for evenings spent soaking in the hot tub and stargazing. Doug & Mary Austin, TxDid you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 7/7

What a unique comfy abode. Tons of character and charm. The hot tub was a fantastic bonus to an already perfect little cottage. "Climbing" into bed at night made me feel like a kid all over again. Mike and Sharon Pearland, TXDid you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 7/7

About the owner: Jean & Justin welcome you to our newest addition - The Tiny Texas House.
Why the Owner Chose Canyon Lake:
We added the Tiny Texas House to the 12 acres to compliment the cabin and cottage we already rent on the property. This new unit is so unique. Everything from the doors, floors, windows, lumber, porch posts, glass, door hardware, and even the siding has been saved and re-used to create houses that we hope will last for a century or more.
The Unique Benefits at this Cottage:
Privacy, seclusion & relaxation. Come and relax in this architectural beauty. A miniature Victorian nestled on a quiet piece of the hill country. Just minutes from Canyon Lake and the Guadalupe River. Tiny yet so spacious. The vaulted ceilings give a feeling of immense space. This unit is perfect for a romantic getaway for two!
