Location: Meadow Creek, Frisco, Northwest, Colorado, USA (One Hour from Denver. One Hour 40 Minutes to DIA) View Map
Accommodations: Condo, 2 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 2 Baths (Sleeps 6)
Keywords: Condominium
This is a two bedroom, two bath condo. The bedrooms are the same size, and you could say that it has two master bedrooms. One bedroom has a king size bed, and the other a Queen, with new bed sheets and comforters. You can tell which is the 'master' bedroom because the bed is adjustable. You can tilt the head up, or raise the foot of the bed to get real comfortable while watching TV. (If you're into that sort of thing).
The rest of the condo (1000 sq. ft. total) is basically one room, with a half wall separating the kitchen from living room. There's a brand new 40" Samsung LCD TV, plus a DVD player. I keep 40 -50 movies on DVD there. There's also a desk with dual monitor computer. If you wish to do a little work while you're on vacation this is the unit for you. (and my condolences)
The best feature of the condo is the many windows. (Check out the picture from outside of the building) There is a lot of glass, so you have great views of the wetlands open space, Lake Dillon, and the Continental Divide. You'll find yourself sitting at the dining table, starring out at the scenery. I'll bet you.
The kitchen is fully equipped. Actually it has more cooking gadgets than my home kitchen, but then I'm a bachelor. I cook rotisserie chicken quite often.
Since you're looking at Frisco, and not at units located at the ski areas, I'll bet that you already know that Frisco sits in the center of Summit County, the heart of the Colorado Ski country, so I won't mention it. (oops) I'll just say that the bike trail that goes around Lake Dillon is very close. There's a Safeway (supermarket) across the street. But my tastes tend toward the fine restaurants that we have in town. I highly recommend the Indian restaurant. See the map connected to this profile for some restaurant suggestions.
Did I mention the heated garage? Comes in handy on those cold winter mornings. You don't even need to go outside to load your car.
There is catch and release fly fishing just across the street.
Although I find it too expensive to accept credit cards for payment, I can take PayPal.

Why the Owner Chose Meadow Creek
Frisco is the heart of the Colorado ski country. Right up I-70 (10 minutes or less) is Copper Mountain - my favorite. Keystone, Breckenridge, A-Basin, and Loveland are all also 15-20 minutes away. Frisco is also a real town. (unlike Silverthorne and Dillon) Lots of great restaurants (I've sampled them all). Lots of events in the summer. There are a number of shops on Main Street, but I tend to go to Silverthorne to all the Outlet Stores. Lastly, and most importantly, the condo has great views. We have the wetlands right in front of the building, then comes Lake Dillon, then that Mountains to the east of Dillon, and finally the Continental Divide reaches for the sky. Grays and Torres Peaks (over 14,000 ft) cap the horizon.
Bus stop for free bus to Ski areas. Copper Mtn is direct from here. The other areas require a transfer.
Pick up free summit county bus to Dillon, Silverthorn, and Keystone here.
Three great restaurants in this shopping center. Food Hedz - MiZuppa - Great soups for a cold day Hacienda Real - Best Mexican food in Summit County.
Owner's Map of Meadow Creek
Hey there. I moved to Denver after college way back in 1980. At that point I knew that I someday would get a mountain home. Finally last year I swung the deal. The plan was to just use it by myself. (including all my ski buddies of course) Then the economy went south. So I find that it's best if I rent out the unit from time to time. The part that you care about is that I use my condo all the time. Which means that I have spent quite a bit of money on the furnishing. It's a lot nicer than a unit which is designed to be rented to one group after the other. Those need hard beds to stand the wear, and most of the touches of home have been removed. Not in my condo. I also work for myself, and I've set up a 'condo office', so that I can work from there. It has high speed internet, and a new dual monitor computer which I use to remotely connect to my computer at the real office. You can use it as your 'vacation office' if you choose. As sad as that is.
