This was a perfect vacation home for our family. We were all very comfortable in this home. It definitely felt like our home away from home. Would absolutely go back.

Wonderful Stay at Topsail at the Beach

I've just returned from a wonderful stay at Topsail at the Beach. My family and I rented the home to ring in the New Year, and we had a fantastic time. It was simple and easy to find this beautiful home through HomeAway, and the homeowner, Steve, was very helpful throughout the rental process. The listing description is accurate and up to date regarding location, layout and amenities. The photos are also very representative of the home's decor, size and upkeep. What you see is what you get! The property is extremely well maintained. We arrived to find a clean home that was well stocked with just about everything we needed. The kitchen has plenty of cookware, dishware, silverware and glassware. The living room is comfortably furnished and has plenty of comfy blankets and pillows. Each bedroom is also well furnished and comfortable. The master suite is just stunning. The large tub, the his and her sinks, and the gorgeous shower make the master bath a real treat. I would absolutely recommend this property to a friend or relative. In fact, my family and I hope to return! We enjoyed visiting the Missiles and More Museum and the NC Aquarium at Fort Fisher (about an hour drive away).

Off season rental, loved every second of it. Great place to stay, lots of pluses in this beach house. I would stay there again.

Heavens Delight should be the name of this amazing home! Yes, the house is in the most perfect location, but the attention to detail that this home has is truly amazing. Our family spent six days at this home over Thanksgiving. We're a big family and the kitchen proved to be in incredible layout for all of us to be in there cooking such a big meal for so many people. Complete sets of dishes, glasses, and flat wear made out dining experience very comfortable. Although we didn't use the 'special occasion' dishes, they would certainly be an extra touch for anyone celebrating an anniversary or special day. The master suite with the gas fireplace is truly heaven and the master bath is equally impressive. For me, it was the things like the incredible moldings, the small globes hanging from the shelving in the living room, and just all the amazing little touches that impressed me the most. Our family enjoyed playing some of the games provided by your home, and we were pleasantly surprised that all the pieces were contained in the games that we chose to play. This is a wonderful home that I would recommend to anyone wanting to stay in this area. Steve...Lori....Thank you for a truly wonderful stay. We hope to return again one day. Judy (New Jersey)

We had a wonderful time at Steve's family home. It was everything we could have asked for and more. The accommodations were amazing along with the view from the hot tub! I wish I could take that kitchen and put it in my home. There was plenty of space for everyone to enjoy their own thing and not get in the way. The beach and waves were amazing and the kids couldn't get enough of the water. Thanks for letting us stay at your gorgeous home. We hope to do it again soon! Leah Robison

My Wife and I stayed three nights in this beautiful home and we didnt want to leave. The property is even better than described if that is possible. Quiet, yet close to everything we wanted. A Perfect Rental Home

Our family has traveled to the Carolinas for the past 12 years. We have stayed in many beautiful rental homes. We found Topsail at the Beach to be ideal! The owners clearly love their beach house. They have paid attention to every little detail, from the trim work to the recessed lighting. The furniture is comfortable and the kitchen is well-stocked. The views are gorgeous; we woke to a beautiful sunrise over the ocean each morning. Even though the beach access is across the street, this house certainly has an oceanfront feel to it. The distance to the beach is actually shorter than it has been in some of the oceanfront rentals we have stayed in. The hot tub and private pool were definitely added pleasures! The worst day of our week was the day we had to leave! We will definitely return to Topsail at the Beach!

My husband and I were looking for a spot on the beach near Camp Lejeune so that we could see our son come home from Afghanistan. We were thrilled with how beautiful and comfortable this home was! The master bedroom was fantastic, including the fireplace, deck and master bath. Very relaxing. The rest of the home was great as well. We cooked a welcome home dinner for our son of local shrimp and crab legs...the gourmet kitchen had wonderful dishes, bowls, pots...and even claw crackers! Every detail in the home was like this. A quick walk over the stairs to the beautiful beach was enjoyed every day. Loved watching the birds and listening to the waves...even had a chance to see a dolphin one day. Hoping we get to go back again very soon. Thanks so much for making our time extra special.

We were so happy to find this beautiful home for our first Topsail vacation! The description & photos are accurate, but you can't imaging how great it is until you get here. Beds are comfy, water is always hot and the view is beautiful. Steve was very quick to answer any questions and always friendly. During our stay it was like we had our own private beach. It was non-crowded and peacefully quiet. Honestly, we had noone within at least 100 yards of us. The outside shower was a great way to clean up after spending a day at the beach. The pool was enjoyable for all, even the little ones who couldn't swim. After months of searching we were so glad we found this one. We would recommed it to all and can't wait to return! Many thanks to Steve and his family for sharing their tropical paradise!

We enjoyed this house very much. It was great getting together with my three girl, their husbands and babies because we live in PA and they live in MD. The pool was a great addition because the ocean can be a little rough for children under 3. We never felt crowded in the house because of the large decks so we never had everyone in the house at once. There was every gadget we needed in the kitchen, the whole house was over the top. I am so glad we found this house. My daughter in law works for one of the rental places and on the island and she said they don't have any houses that can compare with this one.

Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children.

A perfect weekend getaway!

Our family and friends spent a long weekend at this fabulous beach house! Steve, the owner, was fabulous and answered questions almost instantly. He even made sure we would have a grill and a full bag of charcoal at the last minute so that we could cook some delicious steaks and clams on! The house had gorgeous views, plenty of room to spread out, and excellent amenities. Beds were comfy, water was always hot, kitchen was fully stocked, and the hot tub was outstanding. This house made our first Topsail getaway a weekend to remember!

Everything about this house was as advertised, if not slightly better. We spent a week -- four adults, four kids, and enjoyed it. The kitchen is high quality and handled our daily use just fine, even with more than one cook. The access to the beach was great, the outside shower had hot water, and the jacuzzi was always ready. :)

Recommended for: Families with young children, romantic getaway.

We loved our week long stay at your beautiful beach house. It is rare to find a "2nd row" home that is truly OCEAN FRONT. The views were amazing. You can even see the ocean from the bedrooms on the first floor. The kitchen was so well stocked. We usually bring our own steamer, but that was supplied along with every other kitchen item we needed - including a crock-pot. The weather was beautiful and the fishing was great too. We caught something every day. Owners were very attentive to details and the needs of the renters. I feel very comfortable in recommending this home to others. We loved everything about it.

We had a fantastic time in Topsail. We were looking for an area that had beautiful beaches, great fishing and very few people and we found it. Every room in the house was beautiful and very clean...the ocean views were amazing, complete with viewings of dolphins and shrimp boats. We loved to sit out on the deck in the early mornings watching for dolphins. I loved that we dealt directly with the owner, who was extremely helpful and made everything simple. If you're planning a trip to Topsail, I would definitely recommend this home, we were pleased with everything.

This home fits EVERYTHING you would be looking for when selecting a vacation rental. I am quite picky about where I stay and try to find a place that makes my stay very relaxing. The home is very clean, well maintained and has a great gourment kitchen, that my son a chef loved cooking in, while we all enjoyed the beautiful ocean views outside windows. The owner's where very easy to work with and made the transaction simple and effortless. I would recommend this home to anyone and honestly my family has always said I sould be hired for reviews of places to stay because I put so much work unto where we stay, which completes the trip. Thank you for such a great week and we will see you in the future. Oh, also LOVE that we did not have to keep up with keys, there was alot of thought put into the place.

This is the best home we have stayed in over the past six years coming to Topsail Beach. The house has every amenity that you could want! We had a very relaxing week playing on the beach, soaking in the hot tub, and cooking big family meals in the gourmet kitchen. The view of the ocean is spectacular from the top deck. We would recommend this house to anyone. Thanks for sharing your home with us for our summer vacation.

There is only one word to describe this house - Perfect. Everything about the house was wonderful - the views, the furnishings, the layout, everything. The master suite is to die for. The house accomodated my whole family easily with room for everyone. The beach was beautiful and the house is built as a home, not a rental house. The little details in the house made it so comfortable and livable. Anything that we needed in the kitchen was there. My children loved the bunk room and the connecting bathroom and bedroom made it easy to keep tabs on them. We will defintely be going back. Thank you Steve and Lori for opening your wonderful home.

Have vacationed on the beach from Cape Cod to St. George Island, and this was - by far - the most beautifully-appointed house I've experienced. Great location just off quiet beach, few minor problems (e.g. internet connection, gas for grill) fixed quickly and courteously by owner. Would definitely return to the area, and to this house.

My family and I just spent last week at this beautiful home and loved it! Steve was wonderful to rent from. Responsive and professional. The house is perfect! Views awesome! Both my teenagers and my husband and I wished we could've stayed another week! Will definitely plan on returning as soon as we can. Beautiful sunrises,shrimp boats with the accompanying birds and dolphins greet you early in the morning. Pelicans in their V formation signal the afternoon.Watching a small sand bird with one lame leg out maneuver the other birds for its dinner can entertain and amuse one for hours while soaking up the sun. Enjoying the simple pleasures of nature while enjoying clean, interior designer accommodations and having lots of choice for eating out made our week one of the best ever. 'Top Sail at the Beach' beat Hilton Head, Tybee Island, Fripp and St. Augustine in my beach experience. The nearby golf club ensures my husband enjoys his stay as much as I do. Looking forward to our next stay!!

Our family rented this home in September 2009 and will definitely rent it again next year. Some of the things we loved about this home...amazing views from the beach, hot tub, amazing chef's kitchen, master suite was fabulous, private access to the beach, hardwoods/tile throughout the home. I would highly recommend this home to my friends and family. I honestly don't have anything negative to say! We have stayed in two other homes in Topsail and neither compared to this home.

"Yet another fantastic week in Topsail. The house is beautiful. I hope it remains a rental property. Beautiful decor! This place is one of the few places on earth my 3 kids seem to truly enjoy each others company. To me that makes this place priceless! One day my husband and I plan to live here, but that's the 15 year plan. Thanks for sharing your beautiful house-I hope all those who share this roof over the years enjoy it as much as my family and I have!"

Absolutely perfect. Gorgeous home, not house, in a setting created by God. We enjoyed all the moods of the ocean as a far flung family reconnected with each other and our shared values. Someone obviously had spent a lot of time thinking about everything to provide. Kitchen easily accommodated 3 cooks. Every appliance, pot, pan, dish, bowl desired was there. Dishes ranged from bone china/crystal (personally didn't use) to fun plastic fish plates for the children. Appliances on level of what we have at home - top of the line, without being over the top. Initially nervous about an internet "cold find". Steve was wonderful to deal with - a blessing. Top notch for a get-a-way. Go to a commercial beach if you want gilded glitz. This is real quality. Favorite restaurant for family dining was Riverview in Snead's Ferry. Watch your catch unloaded from the boats. Almost afraid to go back. How do you improve on perfection? We all want to try!! Steve and Lori shared their dream home with us. Thank you!!
