  We made a last-minute request for this vacation rental and thank goodness -- it was available. Drew was very nice to meet us on Thanksgiving day to finalize the details. We found the house to be very clean and roomy and the kitchen had everything we needed to enjoy our Thanksgiving dinner. We stayed 3 nights and fished Blue Mesa and the Gunnison River. The location is perfect to shop, hike, fish or ski Crested Butte. It was so much nicer than just a crowded motel room. The deck out back had a grill for cooking and the large tv was good to watch movies and cuddle. The weather was cool in the evenings, but warmed up nicely in the afternoon. We would definitely stay here again..... Thanks, Drew. .

  NOTE TO VRBO REVIEW STAFF: This is an update to our previous review of this property. We wish to retract the previous negative review because there was a miscommunication between the owner and us. We want to post this review in place of the original. This house is in a small, quiet neighborhood close to downtown Gunnison. It has all the amenities for a couple or family. The upstairs bedroom is great for kids as it gives them a space apart from grownups. The deck overlooking a pond is a quiet respite for happy hour or a sunny spot for breakfast. The location is ideal for walking to downtown restaurants, library, parks and college but is enough removed to avoid traffic and noise. We stayed here in Septemberfor a two couple hike and bike getaway. The house was great and the weather was ideal. Recommended!

  When we arrived the house was not cleaned. There was dirty linen on the beds, unwashed dishes in the sink and the bathrooms were not cleaned from the previous renters. The owner was unavailable, unresponsive and subsequently unwilling to make the situation right. He did not respond to phone calls or e-mails. Since we had already paid for the house we cleaned it and stayed there. We gave him the benefit of the doubt allowing for an emergency or such. When he finally responded to an e-mail two weeks later he agreed to refund us the amount of the cleaning fee. After an additional e-mail to him stating we have not received the refund he replied that he would mail it that day. That was 6 weeks ago. We feel we cannot in good conscience refer this property to anyone. The owner is totally irresponsible.

  The house was extremely clean and well kept. The beds were great we all slept well. The house is in a very quit part of Gunnison but also close to everything. We spent a good part of our time on Blue Mesa fishing, water sking, wake boarding and just having fun. It was nice to be able to come back to a nice house and relax. We go to Blue Mesa every year and will rent the house again. We will recommend the house to anyone going to Gunnison. Thanks Drew.

  Drew, thanks very much for great accommodations in Gunnison! We really enjoyed your vacation home. It is exceptionally clean and well-maintained, with new carpet throughout, comfortable furniture, and a nicely outfitted kitchen. We especially appreciated you working with us on short notice for the rental.We would definitely return for another stay, and would also recommend your place to friends. Thanks again!

  We were pleased to find a quiet spot, a comfortable bed, clean new decor and well equiped kitchen to spend our week in Gunnison. The furnishings were better than pictured. Only two or three blocks from the river and close to shopping made it ideal for we senior fishermen. We have recomended it to our family and would suggest it to anyone.

  Hi Drew. The house was great. My mother, who came with us, thought the house was very nice. It worked out great for our family!!! We'll defintely keep you in mind again for next year when we head up there again to play hockey. Also I'll pass on your information to some of the other parents who would be coming up for hockey as well next season. Annemarie

  Hi Drew, Everything was great! You have a great vacation home that had everything we needed. Comfortable beds and great linens! Very nice, clean and well kept home. I plan to go on VRBO and post comments as soon as time allows. We also ate lunch one day at McGill's in Crested Butte and it was GREAT as always!
