Rent our home! Cozy 3BR condo located right on the golf course in front of Tiehack Ski area, 5 minutes from Aspen. Quieter accommodations than downtown, with more room, better views, better parking and superior access to nature's high country bounty. We have been enjoying our home-away-from-home since the 1960's. Now we have decided to let others enjoy our little slice of heaven. The hummingbirds have agreed also.
The greatest feature of our spot is that you are NOT in town, but close enough. We prefer the views along with direct access to nature, golf and skiing only available once you leave Aspen proper. Beware, this is a well-worn and lived/loved in home, not a posh rental-only unit. Personal items might be spotted from time to time...and the place is showing its age. You wont find a granite countertop, but you may find our waffle maker, fondue pot and skinny forks, s'more-pokers, and collections of odd rocks and driftwood, intermixed with fine-art photographs and hundreds of art books. The decor is too eclectic to describe, so call it playful: Jungles painted on closet doors, happy greens, yellows and blues intermixed with silver carpets.
Our Address: 39060 Highway 82, Unit #8, Aspen, CO, 81611. For some reason, it doesn't google map well...we're not in town, but 5 mins west on highway 82, about halfway to the airport...
Getting into town is simple: We're right on the shuttle stop. Have kids? Perfect. No need to get a 2nd mortgage just so they can shop for 3 minutes in downtown Aspen. Nature abounds here, and nature is "FREE". As kids, we made gliders and flew them off the balcony endlessly. We made boats out of foil and floated them down our little brook a million times. We made dams in the creek, played in the hayfield, watched clouds all day, counted shooting stars all night. Told ghost stories on the balcony, waited for Santa to come down the chimney after cooking smores. Poor guy. We made countless snowmen. Older teens? Send them up the road to the Aspen rec center and forget about it. Aerobics, weights, ice skating, snack bar, and a huge pool with curlie-cue slide. Oh, and a batting machine and climbing wall. Tell them not to fall in love with the locals (they will anyway). Winter X games??? Heck Yea. We are one exit away on Highway 82!

I stayed at this Pomegranate condo last summer and it exceeded my expectations! The location is perfect; incredibly close to town but just far away enough so that you feel like you have some privacy. There is a bus stop right outside the entrance to the condos so transportation is not an issue for travelers. The views are incredible; the back porch looks out on a golf course and some gorgeous mountains. The condo itself has with lots of interesting art and an eclectic mix of furniture and gadgets that really make it feel like home. It is spacious enough to accommodate several people comfortably. Overall my experience staying here was excellent and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to vacation or visit Aspen anytime of the year!
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, families with young children.
