Two bedroom, two bath ground floor condo on South Hutchinson Island. The Colonnades is an age restricted community with fantastic amenities and social life. Uncrowded and unhurried, but within walking distance of most everything and a short drive to the rest is our perfect description of what we want in a vacation retreat. If you agree, then this is the seasonal home for you.
At least one renter must be 55 and there is a minimum two month rental; so this is not some in and out tourist trap - it's meant to be a seasonal home. We hope that if you rent from us, that you'll be back year after year.
Our condo was completely renovated and updated with the latest and finest appliances and furniture in 2005. Everything is virtually new.
My wife and I have spent extensive time here during the summer months and plan to rent out our second home during the months of October to March. Our goal is to build a relationship with one to three couples that would like to make this a yearly seasonal home. This way, we're not looking for renters every year and our renters have a beautiful and comfortable home away from home by the beach and the river on the Florida coast.

- Waterfront, not Lake/Oceanfront. Ask for details : Our back door is riverside on a scenic bay on the Indian River and we can see both sunrises and sunsets over the water. Fort Pierce beach and the inlet park are both a short walk from the front door.

- While you can fish off of your dock just ten steps from your back door, you may opt to walk down to the beach right at Fort Pierce Inlet for some of the best fishing in the state. If you prefer not to fish, you can still sit on your dock and watch the plentiful manatees, porpoises and sea birds. If you walk to your left instead of your right, it takes about 10 minutes to walk to Causeway Park with sheltered water and a nice sandy beach just inside the inlet. If you're a boater, the Colonnades has a marina with dockage available at super low rates. As an example, a 24' power boat's rate is under $50 per month. Rates are subject to change and this is also subject to availability.

Year Purchased: 2009
Yvonne and I have always wanted a place near the beach without having the foot and vehicle traffic of being right on a 'strip'. This place fit our bill fantastically. We've only had the condo for a short time, but we've enjoyed having our grandchildren and other family down here to fish, swim and just generally enjoy east-coast Florida with all of the advantages of twenty years ago.
