We had a short, one night stay at Panorama 2-it was perfect for our needs, as a base for a family party we were attending. It was clean, the beds were comfortable, it was peaceful and there were nice outdoor areas to sit and read and relax. The owner was very helpful and accommodating, making sure we got the best place for our stay. I would stay again!

This was the perfect getaway house for me and a few friends. We stayed at Panorama House 2 and although there is only one photo of this place from a distance, it really was a comfortable and clean place to land while we explored Joshua Tree and the surroundings. The beds were *most* comfortable, the bedding clean and plenty for us. We cooked breakfasts, a lunch and a dinner while there and the kitchen is perfectly stocked, complete with sharp knives, flatware and a dishwasher among other things. There are nice outdoor tables in case the nights are warm (which they were for us) and you can sit outside and sip your wine under the stars. The water pressure for the shower was a little low, but there was plenty of hot water for all of us. This place could easily sleep 6 people. And the Harrison House across the way was wonderful to visit. There happened to be an artist in residence who conducted a vocal improvisational workshop in which I was lucky enough to participate. We'll certainly be back.

To start with, my honey and I were entertaining some friends for the weekend, and Eva (the owner) made us feel like family! She was so friendly and welcoming! The house itself comfortably fit all of us, and the fireplace was great after a day of hiking and climbing. The house is located a few minutes from town and almost a stones throw from Indian Cove, home of some amazing views! Seriously a great place for a Joshua Tree vacation.

Vibrant, charming, just a few minutes outside of town. Has a piano! (Which may need tuning, not sure, but still nice that it's there.) Good feel. Very easy to make contact with owner.

Me, my wife and 3 our kids ages 1-3 stayed in this house for two nights and we liked it very much. It's not big but pretty cosy, very clean, good furniture. Our kids had a lot of outdoor activity - it's very quiet outside, plenty of space and we didn't have to worry about roads and cars. I didn't notice any broken glass or other sharp objects (except cactus in the front of the house) as I've seen in one of the reviews but I need to say we didn't let our kids to be barefoot outside. I will definitely recommend it!

We just got back from our stay at Panorama Guest House. All of us (one grandma, two parents and two kids, ages 11 and 2) were very comfortable and happy with our stay. This house really suited our needs to have a cozy home base to retreat to in between stunning forays into the National Park. Everything was as advertised: comfy, warm beds, clean, toasty house (painted in lively, friendly, bold colors), big windows, great views of the rocks. The owner was exceedingly pleasant and accessible — she checked in with us to welcome us and make sure everything was OK — but not overbearing in any way. We would recommend this house without reservation to any of our friends or family, and we would be delighted to have the chance to stay there again. We would also recommend that guests bring a lot of their own food. The food choices available in Joshua Tree or Twentynine Palms restaurants can be very limited if you're not the kind of folks who enjoy eating in diner-like chains or fast food places. One note: another unhappy reviewer with toddler children mentioned broken glass scattered around the yeard. We did see some of that. It turns out, however, that much of it was safety glass which posed little threat to tender toesies. It also turns out that glass pieces are quite beautiful lying there in the fierce desert sun. We simply asked our children to wear their shoes outside (which we would have done anyhow) and we watched them while they played (which we also would have done anyhow), the watching made all the more pleasant by sitting in the glider out back on the porch.

My wife and I spent the month of January in this lovely home. The house was ideal for our needs with a fully equipped kitchen, very comfortable bed, and fireplace for those cool evenings to enjoy a fire, conversation or a quiet time for reflection. The outdoors are spacious, providing beautiful sunrises and sunsets as well as an opportunity for bird watching as well as spotting roadrunners and other critters of the desert; all while sitting at an outdoor table and chairs. The owner was always available to answers questions or to offer helpful tips about other scenic areas around Joshua Tree. We were fortunate to be there when the Harrison House, across the street was hosting a concert for an intimate audience. Anyone staying here should be sure to inquire about possible concerts ...you will be treated to muscians and music of quality while meeting many of the local residents in the area. As we were in the area to hike, primarily, we could not have had a more delightful home away from home.

I rented this house for four and a half weeks in September and October 2010. I found it extremely comfortable, well equipped, and conveniently located. Everything works, nothing's broken, and the place is recently painted and well maintained. Hidden advantages: A porch on the west side of the house that stays cool and shady all morning; a quiet neighborhood; higher elevation (about 2600 ft.) which means it's a little cooler; plenty of space and privacy. It's very peaceful to sit outside after sunset, and on a moonless night the stargazing is great, as Joshua Tree town is a few miles away. The boundary of Joshua Tree National Park is a quarter-mile away at the top of the street, and while there are no actual trails in the vicinity, it's easy to walk into the park and find yourself among cactus, big boulders, and great views. A five-minute drive from "downtown" Joshua Tree with restaurants and shops; a twelve-minute drive from downtown Twentynine Palms. I highly recommend this house for short or long stays.

I have not stayed in this property but have stayed (and currently live) in 2 of the owner's other properties that are 1) next door to this property and 2) across the street from this property. I want to just correct a couple of bits of misinformation from the last review, first and foremost, this is definitely not a busy street- far from it 2) here in the desert, there are bound to be things that small children can injure themselves on- these include but are not limited to cactus, fire ants, other critters, and yes, sharp objects will make there way in this windswept but beautiful landscape. It doesn't seem reasonable that a property owner could remove all those hazards. Lastly, I know the owner to be very kind and responsive to questions and concerns, and know she would do whatever was necessary to ensure a happy and comfortable stay. This is a great house in a lovely spot, you will enjoy it!
