  What a great and beautiful home!! We had such a great week with our family. There was plenty to do with our boys. We rented a boat from the local marina (which are awesome) and did lots of fishing. I even caught my very first fish ever in my life! The boys spent so much time outside exploring and playing basketball. When it rained all day we played board games which were provided and then went to a movie and dinner. We spent every night with a fire and one day we spent the whole time out on the AWESOME upper dock. We are even thinking of doing an adult week mid summer and leaving the kids with G & G.

  Our family of four took a quick get-away to this lovely lake house. The weather was chilly and windy, but we still had a great time. We enjoyed playing games, making fires (firewood and starters provided), cooking in the well appointed kitchen and relaxing in the hot tub. The house is SUPER clean which is extremely important to me. The beds were all comfortable. The set up was great to have our boys in their own rooms on the lower level. Our dog enjoyed paroling the upper deck and overseeing the large yard. This place was so great as it was, it must be even much better in the warmer weather! SO much to do outside and great outdoor living spaces. This was our 5th VRBO rental, including FL, AR, TN, WA and now SC. We took votes and this was our favorite which says a lot because we have stayed in some amazing homes. The house is secluded and quiet, it looks like there is some beautiful sightseeing in the area, but we never left the house once we got there, it had everything we needed to get some peace, quiet and special family time.

  This place is awesome. We had a wonderful time. It is a very steep walk to the dock and back to the house that proved too challenging for my 85 year old mother. I had teenagers who could manage it on their own, but i would worry about younger ones. If they started running down the hill, they wouldn't be able to stop! I would also like to have seen some lamps in the rooms, instead of just lights on the ceiling fans. We all like to read in bed, and having lamps would have been nice. Everything was spotless when we got there, following the directions that were perfect.

  Owner response: Always nice to have a great place to gather over the holiday. I'm sure Grandma was happy that she only had to walk down the path 52 steps instead of the normal 100+ yards most people have from their house to the water. As stated, "their houses are so far from the water, you can't even see the house when the leafs are off the trees". Hope to see you next holiday, or sooner!

  We had a fabulous week at Lake Hartwell. The house was beautiful and well appointed. The dock was great but if you have bad knees the "52 steps" down to it will seem much longer. We had one chilly day so we stayed in and enjoyed the view and fireplace. We explored the area and went to the fair in Fair Play. That was quite fun as we watched elementary school kids show their pigs around the ring. We also went up thru Westmeninster and went to several apple orchards. One day we went into Lavonia and wondered thru several antique shops and the had lunch at 211 West Main St. Restaurant. It is run by Mennonites and the food was fabulous. It is open 10 - 3 and be sure to order the caramel pecan pie!!!! We also went to Fair Play to Kauffmans Bakery (Thursday - Saturday). The pumpkin donuts were great as well as their egg and sausage biscuits. We would definitely come here again.

  I can't believe you were able to get both of my boys (ages 6 & 10) to get up on skis in just one day. Plus, now they know how to knee board. The grin on their faces was worth every penny. We had an amazing time; with great weather and a beautiful backdrop of your home. Thanks for the hospitality, I will recommend your services to all my friends and family. -Greg

  My husband and 3 young sons rented this house and it was such a great trip! The house was so nice , decorated well, clean, and the dock was the big hit! We rented a boat from Harbor Light Marina and the boys loved jumping off the dock. They caught many fish around the dock ( we throw them back) and we enjoyed reading upstairs in the shade of the double dock while the boys fished! Great time!

  This is a wonderful vacation home. We've stayed in several homes on Lake Hartwell and this is by far the best. The lake views, from various rooms in the house, are spectabular! The owners have thought of everyrthing in furnishing this home. Just bring your swim suits!

  This place literally has it all!! I don't even know where to start. I can't even think of anything that could be better....Located right on the water, plenty of space to pull up any boat, and even room for a few boats and jet skies. The dock is one of the better ones I have seen. The owners of this house spare no expense. I am shocked they decide to share their home with renters. Great stereo system throughout the house, pool table, and hot tub. I would say the only thing that they could add is a better grill, they have two of them but could use replacement. Overall the place exceeded all my expectations!!!!

  We enjoyed our visit to your beautiful home. It was exactly as advertised. We wanted a place that we could take our dog, Chloe, to and this fit the bill. We relaxed, read, watched movies, went to parks and even visited Greenville. Chloe loved laying on her bed on the upper deck and running back and forth when boats went by. The kitchen was very well equipped and the rooms were very comfortable. Thanks for sharing your house with us.
