Indulge yourself in this privately owned 5,500 sq ft. luxury cabin near Sundance Resort, nestled at the base of Mount Timpanogas. Sundance is a year round community for the arts, recreation and nature. Whether you plan to attend the Sundance Film Festival, snow ski at the resort or visit in the summer or fall to take in the wildly abundant hiking and mountain biking the area has to offer, this location has something for everyone. Our cabin has been built with the finest materials and furnished to a very high standard. You will love the Great Room with its massive fireplace and custom made furniture and lighting fixtures. This is a wonderful place to relax after a busy day, enjoy some quiet time by the fire or watch a video from the extensive DVD collection. While you are here you may want to explore the area. Sundance resort is just a few minutes scenic walk down hill, in the other direction you can take in a 200 feet, three-tiered waterfall. Both are easy hikes even for younger kids.
You will love the Great Room with its 22 foot high cathedral ceiling and river rock fireplace. With comfortable leather sofas, chairs and rustic antique furnishings, this space enjoys an open and spacious floor plan perfect for gathering with family and friends. Relax by the fire, enjoy a movie on the LCD flat screen and Bose surround system, or cuddle up with a good book. You may not ever want to venture out of the cabin!
The designer kitchen is just off the great room with lots of natural sunlight, granite countertops, and beautiful cyprus hardwood floors. This space is thoughtfully appointed with everything you'll need to make dining in easy and stress-free. The oversized dining room table, which seats 10 comfortably, is an antique converted church door from Mexico with rustic heavy wooden benches on each side and two captains chairs made of hickory. The dining scene is crowned with an elegant fallow deer antler chandelier from Europe.
If you feel like unwinding with some hydrotherapy, you'll really enjoy the outdoor Bullfrog Spa, made right here in Utah. With seating for 6, the spa is located outside on a covered lanai. Feel like some indoor games? You'll find lots of popular board games, puzzles, and card games to keep the family busy.
It is easy to enjoy the great outdoors without ever leaving the cabin thanks to three balconies off the main living areas and floor to ceiling windows which allow you to appreciate the beautiful scenery just outside. Because building lots in this area are so large, you will enjoy views of mountains, fir trees, quaking aspen, and wildlife, and not other cabins!
If you are visiting between the months of May and October you will definitely want to drive the Scenic Alpine Loop. This paved 20-mile drive winds through rugged alpine canyons of the Wasatch Range offering stupendous views of Mount Timpanogos and other glacier-carved peaks. The route begins just above Sundance resort through Uinta National Forest and follows Utah Hwy. 92 into American Fork Canyon. Timpanogos Cave National Monument, worth the hike, is located along the route. You should also take the short detour to Cascade Springs. This mountain spring is criss-crossed by a 1/4-mile boardwalk, leading out over clear natural pools and cascading terraces filled with fish and aquatic plants.

Wonderful home, just minutes away from Sundance Resort. Home as many interesting artifacts and antiques. We would love to visit again.
