  Our entry into Ocean loft was disastrous. The loft was dim because of numerous unreplaced light bulbs. There was no water upstairs. The fan did not work and the air conditioning was not turned on, despite our sincere communication about our arrival time.We were unable to contact the manager because of no WiFi and no cell service.We spent an awful night in the loft and, the next day we stopped at a luxury hotel nearby (who we mistakenly thought were the unit managers) to try to obtain help since there was no Wifi or phone service. It took more than 13 hours for the loft to cool to a barely acceptable level. I am myself a rental manager of a beachfront unit and even in our part of Florida, which is much milder than Panama, that would be considered to be an unreasonable act. My very powerful (not energy conserving) air conditioning is turned on 24 hours in advance of renters arrival. We rented an apt. in Panama City, Panama the previous 3 days, and identical units had been turned on well in advance of our entry. My first e-mail to the manager (cannot tell whether he is the manager or owner) explained that I was at nearby hotel trying to get help after a sweltering night of burning up. There are problems and conditions that are only mentioned after full receipt of money. Cell phone reception is one of them. There are others.(there is a dryer that you cannot use). WiFiwas not working for us and was necessary for my husband's business. I thank th nearby property for allowing us to use theirs. We burned up the first night, were barely comfortable the second night, could not communicate, use our shower or sink, or to find the loft to be as advertised as a 2 bedroom unit.. My husband believes they are guilty of illegal advertising by even calling the loft a 2 bedroom when in fact it is a one bedroom with a daybed in the living room.This is illegal in the U.S. Also, the pictures make you believe there is an ocean view, whch ours did not have. Two other things- this unit may sound reasonably priced by U.S. standards, but by Panama standards it is at the tip top of expensive. Condition and service should be excellent. Also, do not think that paying by paypal will protect you from fraud of this kind- they do not cover "intangibles" such as rentals.. It was a horrible experience for us.

  Owner response: Loft 2 is a beautiful loft and many of our guests have been extremely happy while staying there. Every potential guest that inquires is well informed that the lofts are split level homes with a master bedroom upstairs and a second queen size bed is located downstairs in the open plan area, pictures are also sent so the guest is fully aware of the layout. AC units consume a considerable amount of fuel, it is therefore not common practice to switch them on before guests enter. The review suggests it took 11+ hrs to cool the place down this is a very much exaggerated and inaccurate comment. We can only apologise that it was not a comfortable night stay for this particular guest however if both ac units are switched on, the loft cools almost immediately if set at a low temperature. Having said that we have recently replaced ac units with very powerful energy saving units that work beautifully. The fan was switched off as the previous guest felt the ac was enough to cool the loft. It was certainly not broken and was switched on as soon as the above guest reported the problem. I agree this should have been rectified before the guest entered, please accept our apologies. Occasionally there is a water shortage where all lofts in the complex are effected, its is just a matter of maintenance team switching on the water pump. Water shortage is never a prolonged problem and gets resolved very quickly. Again we are sorry your stay was disappointing and appreciate the feedback. We will ensure that these problems do not effect any guests future stay.

  We have spent several vacations at the ocean lofts but we just keep coming back for more! The lofts are situated in a beautiful unspoilt location and are steps away from the ocean. The sandy beach is perfect with crystal clear waters! The accommodation is by far the best in the area, with great kitchen facilities. The showers are superb and the rooms a very clean and comfortable. Weather here is amazing, sunny but with a wonderful cooling breeze! We have stayed with children and as a couple, it has been great on every occasion! The only thing I would say, is get a car so u can enjoy more of the area but its not essential! If your looking for beach vacation in Panama then you will not be disappointed!

  The Ocean Lofts are the perfect destination for a relaxing holiday in beautiful and tranquil settings. We stayed here with 3 young children and loved every minute. The lofts are very clean and furnished to high standard. Ac and showers worked a dream. We also took a trip to Isla Iguana which was amazing! Beaches are perfect for surfing and long endless strolls! This is by far the best place to stay in the area!

  The people in Pedasi are amazing!!! We only stayed 4 nights in the Villas and only complaint was that we had more time. The staff at the Villas were very accommodating and always more than willing to offer suggestions on restaurants and activities. We were able to find amazing food very reasonably priced. The Villas themselves have everything you need in terms of modern conveniences and are very safe. The grounds are beautiful and when you don't want to walk down to the beach, the infinity pool is a great, calming place to relax. For the more adventurous folks, feel free to paddle out in the surf, rent paddleboards, take a kiteboarding lesson or simply go for a great hike and check out the Panama wildlife. I don't have a negative thing to say about Pedasi or our accommodations. I definitely plan to go back and stay much longer next time.
