Absolutely loved the home the first time I laid eyes on it and wanted to take my family here for a fun weekend getaway. We had so much fun just hanging out at the cabin as it was too cold to do much outside. We played games, had a gingerbread house contest, and just had a great time being together with family and great friends. Thanks Larry for such a memorable weekend!

Beautiful log home, very new, everything was made of logs, even the stairs, so amazing. It has all the coziness of a log cabin, but is fresh, clean and new with all the conveniences of a new home. Large fully equipped kitchen, where we made delicious meals together, grilled out on the deck. Made smores out on the fire pit every night. Relaxed in the large whirlpool jacuzzi tub, they had already set the mood with tea lights all around. Sat around in the living room by the fireplace reading, playing cards and board games. It was the perfect, cozy get away. Larry was very helpful with answering questions beforehand. I would definitely recommend it to others and would love to return again.

My wife and I spent two wonderful days this week at Baypoint. Unique log house in a peaceful and relaxing location. The house was very well furnished and the decorating was first rate. Very clean and well maintained. Would recommend for a couple's get away. Easy to get to from the Twin Cities.

We came up in early November to get out of town and enjoy a quiet get away. The cabin was perfect. It includes incredible log cabin detail and is furnished as a show house rather than just a rental. You cannot see any other cabins on the shoreline or even across the lake. The hiking trail was just off the driveway and the little town is walking distance away as well. The owner made sure everything went smoothly. Can't say enough about this place and the price is right.

Our family of five stayed at the cabin several days in early September. Our trip couldn't have been any better. God blessed us with the most beautiful weather. The BayPoint model home is a lovely cabin. The interior has been decorated quite nicely with woodsy decor. There were so many things I enjoyed about the cabin, it was loaded with all the comforts of home. It's the little things that one appreciates, such as the sticks supplied to start our fires each night. The candies tucked around the cabin in little dishes were a huge thrill for our children. The kitchen was so well stocked that I was even able to find a pizza cutter, matches, colander, spices and a serving tray along with everything else you'd expect. There were two swings under the deck which the kids used much. My husband and I loved reading outside on the front porch in the morning with our coffees. In the evening we could be found out back on the deck. We enjoyed smores at the firepit every night. We brought a friend's canoe and used Larry's paddleboat every day. That was a lot of fun being on the lake. While there we saw a kingfisher, loons and river otters, which was an amazing sight. We couldn't have picked a better place to retreat to for relaxation and quiet. Thank you, Larry, you made us feel at home. Your cabin is a little piece of Heaven on earth.

This log home is absolutely gorgeous. The amenities are fantastic. It is in a very relaxing and peaceful setting on a nice lake. My husband enjoyed kayaking on the lake and fishing. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

The Bay Point cabin is truly a beautiful home. It's spacious enough for a small gathering of friends or family, yet intimate enough for two! The home is clean, comfortable, well-appointed, and very private. We stayed at the cabin for several days in late May while biking the Gandy Dancer Trail. It was truly a pleasure to return to this lovely cabin at the end of a long ride in order to enjoy its tranquil setting and its cozy atmosphere. Everything about this home was just as advertized and previously described by other guests. In addition, the owner (Larry) was very pleasant and accommodating. We would highly recommend this property.
Owner response:Phil, We're glad that you had a great visit to our home and our area. The Gandy Dancer is a a special experience. Thank you for the kind words and helping others find a satisfying get-away. Regards, Larry

The loghome exceeded our high expectations. We knew it would be nice based on previous reviews, and the pictures, but it was even nicer than we expected. It is very well-appointed, and nicely decorated. Well-maintained and clean. If you're looking for a quiet, secluded log home on a picturesque Wisconsin lake, it's hard to imagine a nicer place. This trip we relaxed, read, and had some nice wine. Next time we'll probably go kayaking and biking in the area.
Owner response:Mark, Thank you for the kind words. We are extremely pleased that you two enjoyed your stay. Glad that your get-away was what you were looking for. Hope to have you stay with us the next time you are up for a family visit. Use us as another reason to come back home :) Larry

I had the great opportunity to spend a long weekend with friends. The purpose of the trip was to hunt Pheasants at the local hunting club just 5 minutes for your place. Not only was the place everything I was hoping for with the large logs, great fire place but it was so clean and most of all quiet and relaxing. Where else would I be able to spend a great weekend with friends and also be able to be in the miniorty of people to actualy see an Albino Deer in the wild just down the road from the cabin.
Owner response:Bernie, I'm glad that you had a great time at BayPoint. I'm glad that you were able to experience one of our Albino deer and enjoy your stay. We look forward to your next visit. Larry

My family had the pleasure of staying at this location for a weekend in November. This was our second time in renting the "cabin" and the over all experience both times was excellent. The party of 6 enjoyed the entire weekend and we found home to be well furnished and accomodated the party with room to spare. We especially enjoyed the way the "cabin" is decorated, furnished and kept clean. This was a great experience for all of us and we will return. All of the information about local attractions in include in a folder on the island. I highly recommend this location for a wonderful get-a-way in northern Wisconsin. A beautiful cabin with lake and wilderness access along with the opportunity for family bonding around the fire pit at night made this and ideal weekend. We'll be back!

My 4 sisters and I were lucky enough to have found this place to rent. We went there for 4 days, which was by far not long enough. We really enjoyed ourselves..movies, projects, games & laughing memories had by all. The place was just perfect, everything one needs is right there. A quick trip to town and that was all, otherwise we had no reason to leave. We hope to be able to return very soon and enjoy ourselves once again. THANKS !!!

After a long seach, we found this beautiful home! I was entertained by my 4 sisters for 4 days (not long enough). I have decided this is my Dream Home". It is just perfect for all we did. We watched old movies, played lots of games, cards, did crafts, ATE, ATE and ATE again! The rooms were cozy, the atmosphere warm and the scenery breathtaking. Highly recommend! Can't wait to go back!

I had the opportunity to stay here with my four sisters for some "laughs and crafts" time. We had an amazing time. We walked in the morning in the nearby wooded area. Beautiful! Then we did crafts, ate or watched movies as we looked out over the lake at the gorgeous scenery and wildlife. The log home is so beautiful with all the exposed beams and it is decorated with homey quilts. It really says quality. We had a great time and would surely go back.

For the second year in a row, a group of 6 of us stayed at BayPoint for a weekend, and had a fantastic time. The home is beautiful, spacious, clean, comfortable, and has a great woodsy and rustic feel while still having all the modern accents you could ask for. The home clearly was built with great love and attention to detail. A quick walk down to the lake and you have a peaceful, serene setting for fishing and good conversation. We loved using the firepit for the cool nights, and it's a short drive into town for groceries, sightseeing, etc. We would highly recommend a stay at BayPoint - and we certainly hope to return again!

We wanted a quiet but fun getaway with the kids before we start sending them away to college. We found our stay here to fit the bill. I agree with the previous post that the lake has a lot of weeds so swimming off the dock was not an option, but in all fairness, it did not detract from the fun. We brought our kayaks and the lake was perfect for that. Very quiet with picturesque sunsets. We fished from the dock, had a fire and cooked hot dogs and s'mores one evening. The house was beautiful and had all the needed cooking items etc. The bedrooms were perfect for us. The house does not have cable T.V. internet or even get a cell phone signal. We found this to be a nice break from the usual distractions of home and allowed us to have fun together playing games, putting together a puzzle etc. If you are looking for some quiet time with the family, this is a great place. The area has much to do such as canoeing etc. We enjoyed Adventures Restaurant in Siren.

This home was the best kept, and cleanest RVBO we have EVER rented. What a joy to find a place that exceeded our expectations. We would defiently recommend this property for a most relaxing and peaceful getaway. The owner was very helpful and answered his phone when we had a question. Great place for R&R and to spend quality time with family.... we hope to enjoy again in the future.

The home was beautiful as was the property! Well stocked for cooking, great furnishings and all around very comfortable. Our only disappointment was the swimming availability, the lake is very weedy and mucky. It was a nice lake for our kayaks, and would be good for fishing, but I wouldn't recommend it if you want to play in the water. We did have a great weekend!

My husband and I stayed at the BayPoint Log Home of Larry Decker in July 2010 and really enjoyed the stay. The cabin was wonderfully decorated, the little touches in decorating were very noticable. They spared no cost to make the cabin a wonderful, peaceful, enjoyable experience. We caught fish off the dock and even a couple of turtles, let me tell you that was exciting trying to get them off the hook. We went and played a round of golf at the Siren National Golf Course, which is definitely a first rate golf course. We will definitely be back again.

My wife and I have enjoyed staying at baypoint a few times. The logs are amazingly huge and the fire place is a nice touch. The cabin has everything anyone would need and its very clean. My wife and I enjoyed walking in the park and relaxing in the whirlpool. I would recommend Baypoint to anyone looking for a quiet get away to a family gathering. There is something about log homes and this place has it!
