Rosebud's Place is a fantastic get away. This is a home for those that want to be close to local attractions, yet can appreciate the peacefulness and serenity of the country. This home offers over 1500 square feet of living space. 3 bdrm, (2 queen beds, 2 twin beds, daybed with pull out trundle, portable crib, and loveseat sleeper), 1 1/2 baths, laundry room, mud room, large living room, dining room, full kitchen, and a 3 season porch. A grill station is located just off of the spacious deck.
This home has been enjoyed by four generations and continues to provide the soothing tranquility and serenity to feed the spirit. I call it my "Therapy House" because everyone who has visited Rosebud's Place is overcome by a peacefulness that is better than any professional therapy. The wildlife is amazing; the bright fall colors are vibrant; and the winters are incredible. Great area for mushroom hunters.
This retreat is secluded and sets adjacent to the Allegan State Game Area. The home is located within the Lake Michigan Shore Wine Trail. Owner's Profile
Owner Description
Year Purchased: 1968
This home has been a family hotspot since 1968. My father purchased this home as a great get away from the city. He loved the serenity it provided and the "back to nature" atmosphere. We could sit on the three season porch in the evening and listen to the tree frogs. We would sit at the kitchen table and watch the deer walk through the woods. The winters are beautiful. I always promised my mother and father that I would never let go of this place and I would keep dad's dream alive.
Why the Owner Chose Fennville
I have had the privilege of growing up in this vacation home and want other families to experience the serenity of this home. This home is part of a 65 acre parcel and borders 50,000 acres of the Allegan State Game Area. Cross Country Skiing, snowmobiling, fishing, hunting, and access to hiking trails are across the road. This property provides a pasture for the horse lovers.
The Unique Benefits of this House
This home is situated within 30 minutes to most local attractions. Several wineries within the Lake Michigan Shore Wine Trail are less than an hours drive. Saugatuck is a short 6 mile drive and offers several boutiques, art galleries, fine dining and the Tabor Hill Wine Port. Climb the dunes or visit the beaches along the Lake Michigan shoreline. Holland is a 20 minute drive and offers shopping, casual dining, Dutch Village, Windmill Island, and the Annual Tulip Festival. South Haven is home to the Blueberry Festival and the Warner Vineyards Tasting Room. Visit Crane Orchards U-Pick and Corn Maze located just west of Downtown Fennville.
