Best ski trip ever!
Best ski trip ever!

This property is probably the best property we have ever rented. There were 8 of us - 4 adults and 4 children and so much space for everyone. On arrival we were met with a spotlessly clean house, tastefully decorated, and with all the amenities you need for a ski trip - loads of storage space, a drying room and a hot tub. The kitchen was superb and had everything you could wish for in terms of appliances and kitchen utensils - and good quality ones too. Loads of space too - important when there are 2 or 3 of you in the kitchen cooking for 8. We ate in every night and lunched out on the slopes - so can't really recommend any restaurants - sorry! Property is only a 10 to 15 minute walk into the village (longer if you are in ski boots!) - perfect for an evening stroll - and a 3 minute drive into town We drove in to the parking lots every morning, parked up by the lifts and in a few minutes we were on the slopes. Returning to jump in the tub, and for the brave (or stupid) a roll in the snow in the yard finished the day off nicely. All in all a great holiday - good company, good skiing, good weather and fantastic accommodation. The owners handled our rental really well - lots of communication and everything was as promised and went without a hitch - thanks for making our stay so enjoyable! I would recommend this property to anyone wanting a relaxed time (the neighbourhood is very quiet - which doesn't suit everyone but it was perfect for us) in some superior accommodation.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers.
Owner response: It's such a pleasure renting our home out to families that enjoy Whistler and appreciate staying together in a house instead of a hotel. We do our best to ensure that everything our family would want on a ski trip is provided to our guests, and we are so pleased that you were happy. Thank you again for leaving the house so tidy and taking care of it as if it was your own. We look forward to having you stay again. Cheers, Stephanie & Sean

This house is like staying in a 5 star resort. The furniture, bedding, kitchen amenities and outdoor area are all top notch. We had plenty of room for our party(8 adults and 4 kids). There are incredible views from every window and nights around the firepit outside were the highlight of our trip. Once we arrived at the property we were able to park our car and bike or walk everywhere. It was a short walk to the village and the valley trail which takes you everywhere in Whistler. I would highly reccomend this house. We look forward to visiting again some time soon with our family.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers.

My friends and I stayed here for a few days over New Years and had one of the greatest ski vacations ever! The house is spacious, has great amenities (hot tub, BBQ, and fireplace) and is only a 10 minute walk to Whistler Village and 15 minute walk to the ski lifts. Definitely would stay here again!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, adventure seekers.

Owner info
Year Purchased: 2007
About the owner: My wife and I have grown up skiing, hiking and biking in Whistler. We love the outdoor lifestyle of Whistler so much that we bought a house and bring our two children here every chance we get. The house was built on top of a small hill so it sits above the neighbour's houses, creating a private oasis complete with large back yard and panoramic views. This is a place where you can truly relax and breathe in some fresh mountain air.
Why the Owner Chose Private Homes:
We wanted to be within walking distance to Whistler Village to eliminate the need for a car. Our house is located in a cul de sac in Brio with fabulous neighbours who are all full time residents. There are nearby paved trails that can be walked (or biked) throughout Whistler. The valley trail is a very short walk from the house.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
This house is in a convenient location, with stunning views and ultimate privacy.
LARGER GROUPS... rent the adjacent suite which sleeps 6 (vrbo 432713).
We have a ski tuning area so skis can be waxed up, as well as heated closets to hang ski gear so it's dry and ready for the next ski day. Unlike most Whistler places, we have a backyard which is very private so you can take in views while soaking in the hot tub or entertaining. Since the village is only a 10 minute walk away, enjoy dinner and walk home along the lit walkways. Don't miss dinner at the nearby Barefoot Bistro! If you are driving during your holiday, the house has a one car garage with 6 additional parking spots up the driveway.
