The property is nestled just off a main road on 4 wooded acres. Ski Windham is visible from the back deck. The furnishings are mostly antiques, many acquired from auctions in the area. There are no neighbors directly on either side, so one really can enjoy the peace and tranquility of the mountains, spend a day on the slopes, take a walk in the woods, or just read a good book.
There are 3 bedrooms, 2 with double beds and 1 with 2 twin beds. There's a full basement for plenty of storage. Sliding glass doors opening out to a side deck and skylights provide plenty of light and exposure to the woods surrounding the house. Across the street is state land, so there's plenty of privacy.
While some folks prefer to be as close to town as possible, this house offers the beauty of the country, surrounded by woods and wildlife, yet is only 8 minutes from Ski Windham and town. Hunter Mt. is just another 15 min. away. Whatever activities you engage in can be topped off with a sauna and glass of wine.
At this time I'm looking for a seasonal rental, which in the long run breaks down to a very affordable amount per week for a group.

I live in NYC and work in the film business. I grew up in New Jersey and have always enjoyed the wonderful gifts that the waters and mountains nearby have to offer.
Why the Owner Chose Windham
I initially purchased the property to enjoy it with my family. I love the area, like to ski, go antiquing, hiking, and found that the combination of good food, quaint shops, and family environment that exists in the town can't be beat. I don't get up there as much as I used to, so I hope other folks can enjoy it as much as I do.
The Unique Benefits of this Ranch Style House
There's great hiking, walking, biking, and skiing in the area. Plenty of antique shops, good restaurants, and wonderful sight seeing.
