Beautiful, designer 4 Bedroom home in Bethesda. A colonial split level house, decorated in shades of blue, chocolate browns and splashes of pink. Whitewashed floors, sisal rugs, mid century and eclectic designer furnishings make this kid and pet friendly home extremely chic. The master bedroom has been completely renovated with a new bed, wall to wall Berber carpeting and 400 thread count linens. A huge, renovated finished basement playroom awaits your family with dress up clothes, books, puzzles, trains, dolls a chalkboard wall and a slide. There is also a Cedarworks playset in the fenced backyard. A huge park with tennis courts, two playgrounds,a baseball diamond and miles of walking/biking trails on is a short walk down the street.
There are 5 levels of this house so larger groups can have their own space. We love this home and think it's a perfect home base for a Washington, DC Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, Spring Break or summer vacation.

Year Purchased: 2006
We are a family of five and travel quite frequently. We have stayed in a several private cottages/homes and it made our trips so wonderful, we decided to offer this house to Washington, DC visitors.
Why the Owner Chose Bethesda
We chose Bethesda for the green space, parks, restaurants and proximity to Washington and all of it's attractions. Our home is just over the DC border off Massachusetts Avenue. Our house is exactly 5.45 miles from the White House. Metro buses travel down Mass Avenue to downtown DC and major shopping including Bloomingdales, Neiman Marcus, Jimmy Choo, The Gap, Banana Republic, movie theatres, etc. is a mile away. The Friendship Heights Metro station is also a mile away.
The Unique Benefits of this House
Our property is pet friendly (with cleaning deposit and certain house rules), very spacious, family friendly with a basement playroom, a master suite away from 3 other bedrooms. Despite being pet and child friendly, it is very chic and eclectic. This house was recently profiled in a Washington design magazine. There is also Wifi, a modern kitchen, office, play set and flagstone patio in the backyard. Steps from our house is the Westmoreland Hills park with baseball fields, tennis courts, biking and walking trails and a playground. The Capital Crescent Trail runs through the park and you can walk, ride or run from Georgetown to Bethesda to Silver Spring, MD.
