Start your day kayaking or surfing with the dolphins, watch the children play in the fully enclosed, gated beach cabana area or on the open beach, and finish the day with a long soak in your own private hot tub overlooking the Pacific. Featuring large designer decorated rooms facing the ocean and 3 fireplaces, this estate is the perfect spot for families, entertaining, or just for two. Well behaved canines are welcome.
Please note that check in time is 5PM on the day of arrival, and check out time is 10AM on the day of departure, to allow for cleaning and maintenance.
For professional catering during your stay, we require that you employ our recommended caterer.
For large parties/weddings at the property we require a 7 night minimum stay.

Our extended family retreat at The Villa Pelican surpassed all expectations. There were so many favorite moments of our week long stay that could only have been possible at this beautifully appointed and located home. Where to begin: the private beach, a dining room that accommodated all 15 of us, a bar with a panoramic view, a jacuzzi with a view, a fully stocked kitchen, lots of beautifully decorated bedrooms or the old world charm. We lost count of the dolphins and pelicans that provided entertainment. All of our family gave our stay a thumbs up and would definitely come again. We feel that it was accurately described and photographed. It is located close to all the Santa Barbara activities, however, we pretty much stayed at the house and on the beach. I would recommend future renters to bring their own i-pod dock with speakers.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children.

My family and I (adult children and grandkids from 6 mos to 4 years) stayed at this house this summer and loved every minute of it! The house is beautiful and can easily accomodate a large group. But we were barely inside as the yard and fenced in beach area were big hits with the kids. You are just a few minutes from Montecito for shopping and restaurants and just feet from the ocean. We would recommend this house to friends and family and will hopefully get to visit again.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children.

Villa Pelican Santa Barbara, California September 16, 2010 Dear Pat, When we decided to celebrate special occasions with our family of 14 at Villa Pelican we had very high expectations for the venue. My entire family wholeheartedly agrees that your lovely home and surroundings far exceeded our highest expectations. We all highly recommend spending both special and routine family vacations at the spectacular Villa Pelican. We have enjoyed family outings in Mexico, Grand Cayman, North Carolina, Aspen, Santa Fe, and Scottsdale to name a few, and none were as enjoyable and family oriented as Villa Pelican. It would be hard to mention all of the things that made this trip so memorable .At the top of the list, though, would be the magnificent home and all that went with it, including the best equipped kitchen and cooking facilities, as one of my grandchildren is an accomplished chef. There was not a need or desire that we encountered that was not available at the Villa. The cabana, spacious bedrooms accommodating all 14 of us very comfortably, the magnificent ocean view, the kayaking, spacious accommodations for eating and gaming, to enumerate a few of the wonderful accommodations.
