An Ideal Fall Family Getaway

This was our first visit to Stowe and we could not have asked for more in terms of accommodations. The listing description was completely accurate. This property is immaculate, well-equipped, and close to everything you would want to experience in Stowe (and nearby Waterbury). Our two boys 6 years and 3 years loved the bunk beds and the open floor plan on the top level. An array of puzzles and board games, plus the ping pong table, kept my 6 year-old (and myself) busy in the evenings. The WiFi helped us stay connected and research activities to take advantage of in Stowe. Highlights of our visit included a visit to the Ben & Jerry's ice cream factory, dog carting with Peace Pups (a great experience!), a visit to The Swimming Hole (our kids loved the water slide), hiking the trails of the Weissner Woods, biking around the local area, and a night walking tour of Stowe where we learned the fascinating history of the town. Mac's Supermarket, just two miles from the house, has a great wine selection, and we also loved the selection of finer foods at the Harvest Market. Other highlights included a day trip to Burlington (about 40 minutes away), coffee and panini at the Black Cap coffee house, and a visit to the Trapp Family Lodge (hiking trails and they have a great lounge). The house is cozy and relaxing, the perfect location to unwind from the stresses of city life. I cannot describe the beauty of this area in words -- to say it is stunning does not do it justice.

We found this to be a very relaxing experience. Very close to slopes and shopping . Also a couple of great little gourmet shops like the Harvest Market. The house is well appointed with a gas stove that is more than adequate to heat up the main living area and takes the chill off . Great plush bedding and plenty of towels and kitchen utensils. Three heating zones , Open floor plan and a neat loft if you have older kids that may want to bunk alone or with their friends. Private well lit home with many nice touches . Many stores in Vermont leave up their Christmas lighting throughout the winter and the owners of the house also have festive lighting on timers which is a nice touch that you dont have to worry about . The sauna was a big hit after skiing for everyone and is right off the entryway . Also nice to have two full baths and a washer /dryer. We would definitely recommend this property and we will be back !

This cabin was a true home away from home in every sense. The pictures and description are accurate and the communication from the owners was considerate and prompt. The only issue to consider is the four flights of stairs. If you can't climb stairs or they are an issue this cabin has four small flights. Our 22 month old is now a pro! We all went down backwards and crawled up and set his pattern from day one. The kids loved the loft and bunks and we loved the master bed, sauna on cold mornings and quiet patio at night. Remember stars? Kitchen is stocked with everything we needed from a cast iron pan to a gold filter coffee maker. From the first email to the final check out, this was an excellent experience. We recommend this cabin and would be pleased to return.

6 of us (3 couples) stayed there for a week at the start of February. The property is very ease to locate and is perfectly positioned for both a short car ride to the slopes and a cheap taxi fare for a night in the village. The property looks identical to the pictures set out on this website and is in immaculate condition. We very much enjoyed the free wi-fi and sauna as well. The kitchen is particuarly impressive and the large dining table is perfect for a apres ski feast. Thoroughly recommended.
