This is a very comfortable home. It is a spacious, upscale three-Story, townhouse-style. The home is in the fun North End section of the Virginia Beach resort area, with access to the beach a very short (a minute or two) walk away. The boardwalk area is about a 10 min walk along the beach or bike path - or 5 min beach bike ride from the home. The convention center is about an 8 minute drive. The Norfolk, Oceana, Dam Neck, Little Creek Navy / military bases are within 15 to 30 minutes drive. This home has the best location for vacations and temporary lodging!
Note that our maids clean the home at the end of your stay. You may bring your own linens/towels or use our items - but if you do plan to use our linens and towels, we ask that you leave time to wash and dry these items before your departure (otherwise, a linen fee applies - just let us know before your stay).
Be sure to check out the beach, bike trail, all the local golf courses, the great music venues nearby including the Verizon Wireless venue, the Busch Gardens amusement park and local water park and amusement parks, local museums, science center, and the nearby historic attractions. Williamsburg & Yorktown are only a bit over an hour away!
You'll like the very soothing Laz-Y-Boy furniture, decor and the original artwork.
The home has honey hardwood flooring on the main living level (Kitchen/DR/LR), and has carpet and tile in other areas. Both of the large covered decks/porches - that you can see (in the photo of the building exterior) belong to this home.
The beautiful home interior is very well furnished and has all the important kitchen equipment with a dishwasher, blender, coffee maker, dishes, pots and pans, etc. The home has a full size clothes washer and dryer.
There is off-street parking for up to three vehicles (parking for several vehicles is hard to find in resort areas of Virginia Beach, so the parking area is a Real Plus for our guests!).
The home is very spacious and all of the 3 bedrooms are large in this home! A King size bed, 2 Queen beds (1 Queen is a beautiful sleigh bed in a room with a beautiful tropical "surf" decor - and the other Queen bed is of tropical bamboo in a "Key West" bedroom) and a trundle bed (in the Queen sleigh bed room) and 2 Single size/ fold away beds (can be moved to desired bedroom) and 3 1/2 big baths are provided to make up to 10 friends and family feel right at home.
Sink into the Laz-y-boy leather couch and leather and fabric chairs (including a recliner in the master suite). Enjoy the lovely hardwood floors in the 3rd floor living room, dining area, powder room and the kitchen. Luxuriate in the bamboo "Key West" style furniture in the first floor bedroom, and enjoy the other beautiful furniture in the other rooms.
All three bedrooms are beautifully furnished and EACH HAS A Flat Screen CABLE TV. The master bedroom, a Queen BR and the family room have DVD players. Each of the 3 bedrooms has a lovely armoire for additional storage. The kitchen on the third floor is large and is fully-equipped. The spacious dining area seats eight people at a wood table. See the lighthouse lamp and huge palm tree in the living room area. Enjoy lovely, better than beach house, decorating in the home.
The decks/porches each have tables and comfortable chairs - and they are located off the third floor LR and off the second floor MBR suite.
The master suite has walk-in closet and a jetted "spa" bathtub (and separate shower). Each bedroom has it's own private bath.
Enjoy all the Virginia Beach resort amenities without the noise of a hotel. Two beach bikes are available for you to explore the back roads next to the beach and ride into the resort area. It is an easy walk to the beach. Beach chairs and a few beach toys are provided.
The private, fenced driveway is behind the home gives ample space for your vehicles (up to three vehicles).
This beach home is rented on a weekly basis. A summer week's stay is from Saturday (3-10PM check-in) thru the following Saturday (1030 AM checkout).
Fall, Winter and Spring check-in day of the week can vary.
A personal check is accepted if there is more than 60 days before your reservation date. PayPal credit card/check payment is required if there is less than 60 days until your reserved vacation date - otherwise a personal check is accepted.
Cancellation policy: In Season: guest must deposit 50% of rental price by personal check or PayPal/credit card within 3 days of the date you call/write (applies to May thru Sept vacation dates); and pay in full by the Spring date that the owner specifies before the check-in date. Off-season, 100% of rental price is due upon reservation (full payment to occur within 3 business days via PayPal/credit card) and availability confirmation by owner's email to you. The payment amount of the rental price is non-refundable, if it is less than 16 weeks until your vacation start date., but the owner will make reasonable efforts to re-rent the week on guest written cancellation notification to the owner.
In-Season 2012 weekly rates are $2645/week effective June 2012 thru mid-September 2012. Note: We do not advertise on craigslist! March rate is $1645/week. April rate is $1845/week.

- Air Conditioning : Full central air conditioning with 2 zones. One zone for bedrooms is controlled from the King Master Bedroom. The zone for the living room/dining area and kitchen is controlled from the living room.
- Linens Provided : Linens are provided as long as the renter agrees to clean and thoroughly dry - and fold back on to laundry room shelves before departure. (This is very important) Otherwise, the linen charge is $150 - and you must let us know at least 14 days in advance of your rental whether you will need the linen service, as our maids will have to schedule their time accordingly. Thanks for your help with this service planning!

- Off Street Parking : Up to 3 vehicles can be parked on-site at partially fenced back yard of property.
- Parking for RV/Boat/Trailer : A small RV could be parked at the right side driveway of the home. RV should be no wider than a Ford Expedition. There is very little maneuvering room - vehicle would have to back out.

- King Bed : King bed suite - has comforter and pillows.
- Queen Bed (2) : Bed has comforter and pillows. There are 2 Queen suites. The queen suite on the 2nd floor has a sleigh bed and the 1st floor queen suite has a large bamboo/Key West bed. Note that the 2nd floor queen suite also contains another bed (trundle) that will sleep 2 persons.
- Twin/Single Bed (4) : A trundle bed (sleeps two persons) is in the 2nd floor Queen bedroom, in addition to the Queen size bed in that room. Also, there are two Adult Sized Fold away beds - which are kept in closet/garage until needed. Can be moved to any romm where needed. Have comforters and pillows.

- Charcoal BBQ Grill : Use outside at least 8 feet from any building or fence! Not to be used under any building overhang/porch or in the garage. You must properly cool and dispose of coals after grill use.

- Oceanfront : Only about 1 "beach" block (a very short walk of a few minutes) to the sand and surf!
- Ocean View : You can see the entrance to the beach only from the front of the home (unless the trees next to the porches blow the right way to allow a view of the oceean past those trees from the porch! The trees grew!) - beach access is about 150 feet away. Very limited view to no view depending on the weather, but this lets you know how very close you are to walking in the waves!
- Communications
- Broadband Internet : Cable modem. Bring your own laptop and line.
- WiFi (Wireless Internet) : Local hot spots are available. A cable modem is in the home for internet access.

Why the Owner Chose Virginia Beach
I chose this vacation rental because it is a very short walk (a few minutes) to the ocean and is close to all the resort attractions and the convention center and military bases. Also, I really like the 2 covered porches facing the backyard of the home - with the leafy tree making each porch feel like a private tree house.

The home has lots of light, is roomy, fun and very relaxing - especially the laz-y-boy leather couch and 3 recliners (great for afternoon naps!).

My family and I had a wonderful time during our stay. The townhouse was very bright and spacious and it is very well located. We also appreciated all the little extra items that make your stay more convenient. Cathy is extremely helpful--a real pleasure to deal with.

This was a beautiful house, well taken care of and nicely decorated for the beach. The kids were able to use a lot of the beach toys supplied, the adults used the bikes at the house, the Kitchen had everything necessary to make dinners, grill and blend some adult beverages. We were able to enjoy some of the dvds that are kept at the house and had an overall excellent experience!
Recommended for:Tourists without a car, sightseeing, adventure seekers, families with young children, families with teenagers.

Stay here only if you like to work while you are on vacation. We've stayed in rentals in San Diego,California; Hot Springs and Eureka Springs, Arkansas; Newport, Oregon, Paris, France; and Wintergreen, Virginia. Never during all those rental experiences were we ever expected to make our own beds or clean our towels and linens!!! And, when it came to cleaning the place, the place was either automatically cleaned by maid service after we left or we were given the option of cleaning it ourselves or paying for it. This place does not even give you that option. Our flight came in very late and we arrived to a very cold place where the heat was completely turned off! And, then we had to scour the place looking for sheets to make our beds! It was horrible. The next day there was a plumbing issue and we had to wait for the plumber to come and repair it only to find out the plumbing problems were because the place had been left vacant for so long. The owner never apologized for our inconvenience and even did not return our deposit until an entire month after we left ---and even then we had to call her and request it. I have never had to leave a bad review for a rental, but I could not let this go. I would hate for someone else to make the same mistake we did. There are too many other rentals available in VA Beach that I'm sure are much better. I will say that the place is very pretty and clean and has a nice, spacious floor plan. Under better management I'm sure it would be a good place to rent.

We were very surprised by this traveler review, as we allowed them to modify their stay dates at the last minute when their flight was changed. Our team responded quickly to their question about noise in the plumbing. We sent a plumber to check the home, and he reported there were no problems at the home. We have maid service that cleans the home thoroughly after each stay. Our other guests have been very happy and our home is fully rented each Summer.

Last minutte rental turned into absolute find!! We had a very last minute, many person, vacation plan pop up and had heard of vrbo through a magazine. This was actually the first property that popped up on our list in virginia beach. We had read through alot of them but kept coming back to this property. What a find, so thrilled we went with this location. It had everything, if you think you need it on vacation, this home had it. Location, convenience, accessiblity, comfort, you name it and it relates to this home. Will definitely use it again in the future. I actually had people, after they saw my photos, ask me for the info so they can possibly use it as well.
