Beautiful condominium, recently renovated, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, sleeps 4 - 6, living room, dining room with fireplace, fully equipped kitchen, washing machine, extra large sunny terrace with barbecue grill. Gated condominium community with a garden area, communal swimming pool, tennis court and parking area located above Marina del Este.
This condo is a 12 minute walk or 4 minutes by car from the beach of the La Herradura Bay. Here you can find a vibrant mix of restaurants and tapas bars that are located on the scenic Paseo Andrés Segovia. Chiringuito La Sardinia restaurant is situated right on the beach and appropriately named after its catch-of-the-day, barbecued sardines. Along Paseo Andres Segovia you will find grocery stores, an indoor food market selling fresh local fish, meat, cheese, fruits, vegetables, flowers and bakeries selling just out of oven hot breads & pastries every morning. Don’t worry about forgetting anything at home, you can find everything you need in the town’s wide selection of shops, pharmacies, newsagents & banks.
La Herradura is located less than one hour from Malaga and Granada airports and about an hour and a half from Almeria airport. Our beautiful La Herradura bay is a perfect place to spend your relaxing holiday vacations.
About the area: The beautiful bay of La Herradura is nestled on the Mediterranean coastline of Granada province. It lies between the world-renowned Costa del Sol to the west and the coast of Almeria to the east. The beach, stretching 2 km, is set between two mountains providing shelter from winds, allowing for an extraordinary favorable, almost tropic-like climate with the sun shining 320 days of the year.
La Herradura is the perfect location for enjoying all sorts of water activities as well as hand gliding, tennis, horse riding and countryside excursions. The bay is known for some of the best underwater scenery along the southern coast and is considered one of the best places in the country to scuba dive. You can even rent a sailing or motorboat on the beach or from the picturesque port at the Marina del Este.
The Sierra Nevada ski resort is only an hour and a half drive away. The ski resort is open from December to April every winter.
If you are visiting in November, make sure to stop by and see the Andrés Segovia International Classical Guitar Competition held in La Herradura every year.
Don’t forget to visit many historical sites when you are there.
And if you would like to learn Spanish, the Spanish language school is located in La Herradura.

This is a great place to stay in Southern Spain. We found the location great for day trips to places like Malaga, Gibraltar, Granada. The description provided was accurate, lots of good restaurants, and grocery stores within a short drive. The facilities were great and the pool was very nice. The only minor draw back is that nothing is within walking distance and the return walk from the beach is significantly up hill however if you take a car the drive is about 3 minutes. Looking forward to going back!!!!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car.
