We spent presidents Day weekend out of the hustle and bustle of city life. While the cabin is not large estravagant, It is decorated nicely we and the other couple we were with felt it was comfortable & cozy. We dined out once, but were really impressed with the well stocked kitchen. It even had a crockpot which was great to come home to after a day out & about. We played games, hiked, visited the local vinyards, shopped in downtown Dahlonega and spent hours at the firepit at the rivers edge. The water was crystal clear and could see several large trout. We will be back !Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, adventure seekers, age 55+.

Stayed here with my two kids (13 & 6) for 3 nights/4 days and we had the best time!! The cottage was clean, comfortable, and completely private. We had loads of fun tubing and seeing all of the wonderful sites that Dahlonega has to offer. The beds and pillows were very comfortable which was a huge plus for us. Carol and David were so helpful throughout the entire trip both before and during. I would highly recommend this place and will look forward to visiting again in the future.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, age 55+.

A very comfortable and relaxing place. Even though we came to visit the wineries in the area, we found ourselves spending lots of time sitting on the porch or by the stream, listening to the sounds of the water and watching the wildlife (lots of birds and squirrels, a turtle or two, and even a couple of deer one morning). The setting is so serene and beautiful, it's hard to leave. The cottage itself is very comfortable and pleasant. The beds are comfortable, the kitchen is one of the best-equipped you'd find at any rental place. Our child is grown, but I would imagine families with younger children will have a great time here. But really, we would recommend this place to anyone.Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with young children, age 55+.
Owner response: We are so glad you loved our cottage. We really enjoy cooking fine meals when we are up there, so we tried to think of everything we could possibly need to have on hand. Come again soon! David and Carol

Thank You for creating such a magical place where everyone who visits feels they've discovered their OWN private little piece of Heaven. This cottage is wonderful, the owners have thought of everything to help make your stay comfortable. The pictures don't reflect how darling this place is, gorgeous setting and flowers - there are even herbs planted right outside the door. I'm 65 and went tubing with my Daughter and Granddaughter...what a wonderful memory (first time for all three of us!) We were in Dahlonega to attend a wedding and had quite a few relatives visit us, everyone kept saying "we heard how great your cottage is, we'll be right over" It's a hard place to leave and we appreciate your sharing it with us and for being available to answer any questions.Recommended for: People with disabilities, sightseeing, families with teenagers, families with young children, pet owners, age 55+.
Owner response: We are delighted that you had such a lovely time. Please come again soon. David and Carol

The grounds were beautiful and the cabin was very clean. Kitchen had everything you could need. The location right on the river was private and lovely. We made a campfire each night. Lots of room for my two year old niece to safely run around and offered plenty of adventure for my son and nephew. We will rent again.. There is plenty to do in the area, but you will be content to stay at the cottage. Owners gave easy instruction and easy to work with. There were also tubes to use.Recommended for: People with disabilities, sightseeing, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, age 55+.

We stayed here for a couple of nights in November when we were in town for our brother's wedding. We could not have been happier with this rental. The owners were very prompt with all communications & made sure that they were available should we have any needs or concerns. The cottage is exactly as pictured, but what's missing from the pictures is the beautiful yard that leads to the river. We were extremely pleased with the cleanliness and overall decor of the place. An added bonus were all the spices and cooking supplies in the kitchen. My brother-in-law raved about this cottage and plans to bring his family back again in the future. I highly recommend it. Really, you can't beat this for the price. Thanks for a wonderful experience!Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with young children, pet owners, age 55+.

We enjoyed 3 nights at the cottage and found everything exactly as described on the website. The cottage was well equipped and very peaceful and comfortable. It was a welcome break having travelled from the UK the previous day. It is in an ideal location to explore the start of the Appalachian Trail and the surrounding area which is very beautiful and different to anywhere we have been in the USA on past holidays. Thank you!Recommended for: People with disabilities, sightseeing, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, age 55+.

This is our second visit to the cottage and we enjoyed it just as much this time as the last! We brought a second set of friends with us this time, as well as the friends from last year's visit, and they too were enamored. We had a bonfire each night and though the fishing did not get any trout, the SNAPPING TURTLE was so much fun! (No we didn't cook it...it actually got away but it was NOT happy!!! We hope to make this a yearly tradition until the owners don't rent it out anymore! Thanks again you guys for such an enjoyable place to stay for the weekend!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway, age 55+.

Well we really got our chilin and grillin mode on at the wonderful little cottage. The grounds are so clean and easy to walk. We spent most of our time by the fire pit listening to the river. The 500 chanels of dish network were plenty to keep those homebodies happy and the football fans glued to the tv. Great ktichen, great beadrooms. The only suggestion I would make would be a ceiling fan in the master bedroom. Brinsons - well done! Thanks a bunch!Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, age 55+.

I have rented many times with VRBO, and I have to say that this little house is a gem. It is the best maintained rental I have found through VRBO: kitchen is well stocked; great, kid-friendly touches are evident everywhere; beautifully maintained grounds are breathtaking; thoughtful hang-out spaces dot the property. Nothing was ignored when the owners prepared the place for renters. We had all the amenities of home and honestly didn't want to leave. The river is so beautiful here, and we had so much fun tubing near the house. There are even huge trout to feed and admire. I will certainly try to rent again. The owners are delightful, friendly, and helpful. I truly can't say enough good things about my vacation here, and I can't wait to return.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, age 55+.
