My boyfriend and I stayed at the Fransen guest suite this past April. Overall a great expereince! The condo was clean, well furnished, and stocked with all essential dishes/cookware/linen. The location of the condo is a great location, quiet, friendly, close to shopping, amazing beaches, short drives to many attractions of the Island. The Mauna Lani resort is a great are and the Fairways is a really nice area, great pool as well although you won't need it much due to the great beaches near by. Dennis was a pleasure to deal with, always polite, professional, and looked into every concern in a timely fashion. We definitely hope to return soon! Mahalo and Aloha!

For those who have never stayed at the Mauna Lani, it is the place to be. This Townhouse in the Fairways is located on the pool side of the complex and is very peaceful and quiet. Very well decorated and equipped with everything you need, just bring yourself and enjoy. Owners were great to work with. We were given so much privacy we actually had to schedule a time to meet each other. We come to Hawaii for the relaxation and access to the beach club is just that. Sun, sand,shade and great snorkeling along with a great place to eat an outdoor lunch or dinner. I would highly recommend a visit in this Townhouse at the Fairways. You will not be disappointed.

Our experience at the Fairways was excellent. The condo is spotless, beautifully furnished, easy to live in and has a great kitchen. The BBQ and lanai are added pluses. Our 2 grandchildren found everything they needed for beach activities. Many lovely beaches are within a short drive and the "on grounds" beach club is great for snorkeling. It also includes a good restaurant. Walks through the adjacent grounds and hotels make for good morning walks, and a good grocery store is close by. Great Hawaiian Vacation Retreat

We needed to be near the Fairmont Orchid and this townhouse more than exceeded our wishes. I lovely well appointed "home" that exceeded our expectations! Dennis and Cheryl made sure all our questions were answered. Thank you! The close proximity to shopping made it easy to eat in or dine out! Great shopping within a few minutes walk. The grounds a absolutely beautiful,great pool, spa and exercise facility. Everything was as advertised If you do use the lovely Muana Lani Beach Club be sure and go early. It can be very crowded! We certainly will consider another visit here when we return to the Big Island

We enjoyed the townhouse very much and appreciated that the photos were accurate. We enjoyed the location because we liked to explore and it was convenient to the "shortcut" to Hilo and the north and also close Kona and all it had to explore. The owner was very communicative and helpful. Following our stay we spoke with the owner and suggested that more information be provided regarding the Mauna Lani entire resort area. The grocery store and little shopping mall are sooo convenient and welcomed! But the "7-minute walking distance to the beach" may be true for young, agile folks - it was not for us. The pool and hot tub were terrific, as was the wonderful grilling setup on the lanai and well-appointed kitchen. The only small thing we missed was a computer work station/desk area.

We highly recommend staying in this property. It exceeded our expectation. The townhouse is quite large, as it was just the two of us. The furnishings and decor are very tasteful, the master bedroom is very large and the bed is very comfortable. The kitchen is well appointed, with good pots/pans and the Viking bbq grill is great! The property is steps from the pool and hot tub. Very convenient if you have kids. The unit comes with plenty of beach towels, cooler, pool toys, boards and snorkel mask. The location is walking distance or a minute drive to grocery, coffee, restaurants. Beach Club access was great! Owner was extremely easy to work with, and was very helpful in answering questions. The entire complex is well cared for, safe and well manicured. I would highly recommend this property. Easy access to next resort village (King's Shops), easy drive to Kona or Waimea. We definitely will come back! Thanks Dennis for a great stay! :)

Cheryl was a great person to work with! She was very quick to contact us with pricing and availiablity and was very flexible. We were only here for a long weekend and only wished we had more time to enjoy this lovely home. It was very nicely furnished, we really loved the lanai on the 2nd floor off the master bedroom. The grill on the main lanai was great and we used it several times. This unit is close to the community pool which was very nice. And the mentioned private beach club card was a definite plus! We went to this beach and it was beautiful and had free snorkeling gear, stand up paddle boards, etc. They also have a restaurant on site where you can get drinks and food. Also the Fairmont Orchid and Mauna Lani hotels are very close by and we enjoyed a fabulous meal at an outdoor restaurant overlooking the beach at the Fairmont. :) We loved this quiet neighborhood. There were also many restaurants and shopping within the area. We highly recommend this property and plan to return again! You can be as active or lazy as you would like in this beautiful area.

Excellent Condo at Manua Lani

My family of 4 (two teen girls) stayed at this condo for two weeks in July of 2011. The condo is in excellent condition and for me was in the best location on the island. My two girls enjoyed the pool in the evening and each morning they loved the beach club which had some of the best snorkeling I have seen in a long time. Speaking of location, for me the location was perfect in terms of weather -- no vog from the volcano and no rain from the eastside of the island. I high recommend this condo. In fact I have already given the details to several people I work with.

This townhouse is perfect with all of the comforts of home. We returned one year later after our first stay and were not disappointed. We used the kitchen more this time and found that it had everything that we needed. The property is clean and very maintained. We'll be staying here again in the future!

This vacation condo was immaculate, Very tastefully decorated, and with all the extra amenities of a permanent residence (outdoor viking grill) The location is PRIME, walking distance to everything, but still very private,tranquil, with lush landscape. BONUS with this condo is that you have access to the private beach club, which has great food and drinks, the most incredible snorkling, and the beach activities cabana offers EVERY piece of gear imaginable for the water enthusiast for no extra charge!

We absolutely loved this unit! It was my 4th time on the Big Island, but my first time staying at the Fairways @ Mauna Lani and I will most definitely return there. The property is nice and private, and super close to the pool and gym. Also stylish and elegantly furnished with an excellent layout. Having two lanais is a BIG bonus when you want to have a private moment (one is off the master bedroom). Oh, and excellent closet space in both bedrooms and hallway. Having access to the Beach Club is a big bonus - just get there early to get a good seat. The owners were also on the island when we were there, so if I needed anything they were available to answer questions. Thanks Cheryl and Dennis!!!!! My only regret was not having the unit available for the full 3 weeks! This was truly one of my best Hawaiian experiences. You won't regret staying here! Lynn

Excellent stay at the Fairways

We had a fantastic townhouse at the Fairways. The kitchen was well equipped so that we were so at home cooking many meals. The decor in the townhouse was well thought out. Couches, tables and chairs were very comfortable. And for the first time since we've been coming to Hawaii (past 18 years) the bed was so comfortable, I finally got up in the mornings without a backache!!!!!!! We used the lanai which has a lovely view of the beautiful, flowering landscaping. The owner is most accommodating and it is a pleasure speaking with him. We have already made arrangements to return to this lovely townhouse this coming fall.

We have just spend 10 days on Big Island and stayed at the Fairways. This Townhouse is all you need to make your vacation easy and enjoyable. The unit is big and CLEAN. It has a fully equipped kitchen and a great gas grill. The owner provides beach towels and access to the beach club which has excellent snorkeling. But you will have to drive to the beach club. If you prefer to walk you can walk down to he Fairmont which is about a 10 minute easy walk. If you don't mind not having ocean view, this is the place to rent! The owner is very easy to communicate with and will do so promptly!!

My husband and I stayed in this unit with another couple for an event held at the Orchid. It's the perfect location.. quiet, close to everything you need, beautifully furnished, clean, and all of the comforts of home. I had never used VRBO before and was pleasantly surprised by the whole process. We will be back again to the same unit next year!

We had such a great time. This was our first time to the Big Island and loved it!! The villa was way more than we expected.
