Guests are at the Center of Everything!
Welcome to Bavaria! We are a half German-half Italian family from Kaufering, a little township of the lovely Bavarian city Landsberg am Lech. Our position in the very middle of a wide and culturally interesting area is favorable to visits of idyllic landscapes, all kinds of sight-seeing and lots more, !!For more information check out the map!!
Villabaviera is in proximity to different tourist attractions and therefore highly recommended for those likely to spend eventful holidays. Here our suggestion for a well-organized vacation: On Saturdays we invite our guests to make an excursion to Munich, as we can provide you a free-Ticket for the train-ride to Munich (valid only on Saturdays for a maximum of 5 people). Inside Munich you may buy a day ticket to access all public services for a total of 9 Euro (valid for up to five people).
This way you can easily reach famous places like Marienplatz, Englischer Garten, Deutsches Museum, Hofbräuhaus, Olympiazentrum, Allianzarena etc. The next day, Sunday, you should use to visit the unmissable castle of King Ludwig II, the Neuschwanstein Castle. After the inspection you may take the opportunity to eat in Bavarian style in one of the traditional taverns you find in vicinity of the castle or on the roadside of "Romantische Straße“, when returning to Villabaviera. On Monday, a walk around the lake Ammersee could probably make a nice change.
Apart from cycle tours, or round trips on ferries or montgolfiers, you can also visit the Andechs Abbey, famous for its home-brewed beer. Then there are still a lot of things to see at the following days: If you should not be a supporter of larger cities like Munich, Augsburg will surely appeal to you. Of not too large dimensions, and very rich in culture, this lovely city is an ideal place for taking a stroll through, especially for shopaholics.
For visitors with children there is the possibility to go to “Legoland”, which is about a one hour's drive away. Climbing the Alps is an inevitable must for everyone visiting Bavaria. See the marvelous town Garmisch-Partenkirchen at the foot of Germany's highest mountain, called Zugspitze. Breathe the best mountain air and enjoy the stunning sight. A trip to Lake Constance takes about one and a half hours, but it's worth it.
It belongs to the biggest lakes in Europe, and is famous for its “triple citizenship”. The localities around Lake Constance (Bregenz, Konstanz, Friedrichshafen, Lindau) are much-liked tourist destinations. For the evenings, entertainment will be assured by Landsberg's several cafés and pubs, and romantics might let themselves get enchanted by the Lech cascade in the very middle of the city. Moreover there is a cinema, an open-air bath, La Boum Swinger-Club, and some discotheques in proximity. The following attractions are seasonal: Munich's world wide famous Oktoberfest between the last week of September and the first week of October. A knights festival takes place in Kaltenberg in July. It delivers a spectacular show inside a medieval setting.
