My husband and two young teenagers had a very comfortable stay here. The condo/apt. was immaculate and well-appointed with a complete kitchen and tons of closet space. We really appreciated having a W/D in our unit. We were on a tight budget, so we stopped at a Harris Teeter on the way in for groceries. We had breakfast in every day and made sandwiches a couple of days to carry into to D.C. with us (bring your own zip-locks, saran, etc.). The furniture was comfortable, but the study pull-out bed was not a comfortable sleeper for our 6' tall son, although he liked having his own room. Otherwise, the King and Queen beds were very comfy. The kids really enjoyed the indoor pool (with a lifeguard on duty). Our check in and out was easy, with a packet waiting for us. It was really nice to be able to park our van in the garage and not move it until we checked out. Unfortunately, we have some cons: It is a 15-20 min. walk to the nearest Metro station, but we discovered an indoor mall walk-through that cut about 3 blocks off. Several restaurant choices are available along this walk. There were two small concrete balconies with a nice standing 17th floor view, but there was no patio furniture nor a way to sit and enjoy the view. Be careful about planning the time of year for your DC trip. You WILL encounter large masses of school groups from late March thru early June. We had freakishly hot weather in early June, so we planned indoor museums on the hottest days. PLAN ahead for this trip. We went through our congressman's office to schedule free, guided tours, which really made our trip worthwhile. We toured the White House (then had b'fast at Old Ebbits Grill across the St), The Capitol, Bureau of Engraving and Printing, The Pentagon, Ford's Theatre, and a National Monuments tour--guided by Park Rangers. These all had to be requested and scheduled ahead of time. Most museums are free, but some have a limited number of tickets they give out each day. Also plan to use the Metro for your transportation. We stayed a full week, so we bought a week's Metro ticket and never had to worry about adding $ to it. It will be well worth your time to study and be familiar with how the Metro system works before you get into D.C. We took our laptop and did some "homework" each night to be sure we knew where we were going the next day. We definitely recommend this property for anyone who is going to visit D.C. and would return here for a future visit.

Stayed here for joint graduation/wedding week with adult children and grandparents. The apartment was very convenient to Reagan airport for our staggered flights coming in. Views from the living room of the capitol building, the airport. Great sunsets. Groceries and restaurants close by. The metro walk fine for us, but too far for the grandparents. The two bedrooms had comfortable beds. The pull out in the den was not comfortable sleeping, but what pull out is? Great closet space and loved the washer/dryer. Nice to have free parking with unlimited in and out. Very easy check in.
Owner response:There is a Metro Bus Stop just in front of the building that can also be used as a transport to the closest Metro Station... Walk or ride, the choice is yours.

Our family of five stayed here during our Spring Break trip to Washington. This was a great base from which to explore the area. The apartment was clean and well appointed, the pool and workout room nice to use. The apartment to close to urban amenities of Crystal City, and a short drive from grocery stores. Check-in and -out were easy. The 10-minute walk to the Metro was manageable. The view is as advertised. I would stay here again on future trips to the Capital area.
