Just returned from a 4 night stay at the lovely Casa Paloma. My husband and I vacation in Taos a minimum of four times per year, and we both agree that Casa Paloma is THE ONLY place we plan to stay in the future. Winton is a delight and was so kind to attend to any questions we had, to gave us a great rate, and even allowed us to spend an additional night when we just did not want to go home. Winton absolutely knows what top notch customer service is all about. The Casa is perfectly stocked, very clean, and beautifully furnished. This home has such a comfortable and positive vibe! We will definitely be recommending Casa Paloma to all of our friends and relatives, and we cannot wait to return! Thank you, Winton!! Mychal, Arturo & Jake ("the Pooch") Delgado

If you are coming to Taos, I highly recommend Casa Paloma. Our family of four had plenty of room. You will get what you see in the photos. A tastefully decorated, clean place with a great selection of artwork and that Northern NM character. It is at the end of long street off the main highway, which makes for a very quiet spot. It has parking right in front and it is centrally located. Three supermarkets are within a five minute drive (Albertsons is very close). There are many good retsaurants in Taos, within a ten minute drive of Winton's place. Do not miss The Love Apple and El Meze for gourmet meals at affordable prices. The plaza and other Taos attractions are also a short drive. We were in Taos to ski. The drive to TSV is about 30-40 minutes and is very scenic. We were able to sit out back in the late aternoon to enjoy Taos' warm spring weather after skiing. The hot tub accomodates two. Winton was a pleasure to deal with. If we come back to Taos, which I hope happens sooner than later, we will be in touch with Winton to try and arrange a stay at Csasa Paloma again.

We stayed here over the Thanksgiving holiday. Great place in a great location. At first I wasn't sure as they are at the end of a dead end street - but as it turned out, that is what is great. It was very quiet with no through street traffic. There are some really great restaurants within walking distance, Songs and Varela's to name two. An Albertsons across the way and a Walgreens right down the street. We also walked to the plaza, a hike, but doable for those who are walkers. Nice condo - all the amenities you could ask for. Great hot tub. Small backyard for those of us with pets. I would highly recommend Casa Paloma to anyone including family! The owners seem like nice people which is always a BIG plus.

We stayed at Casa Paloma for three nights just before Thanksgiving and found it to be charming, relaxing, very quiet and a real bargain for our family. It was wonderful to have two super comfortable bedrooms and two full baths. The radiant floor heating system is such a nice thing, the kitchen was extremely well stocked with every gadget and utensil you could think of and the hot tub was really a bonus. The fact that the hot tub has a sophisticated filter system negating the need for chlorine was very nice too. The condo is immaculate, the mattresses and bedding; top of the line. Dealing with Winton was a pleasure. She allowed us to bring our dog and even provided food and water bowls and a nice doggie bed placed in front of the gorgeous kiva fireplace when we arrived! We would highly recommed this condo (which feels like a house) to anyone looking for comfort, good value, and an excellent place to recharge.

My husband and I took a chance and stayed here for our one year wedding anniversary and loved it! Everything in the description is accurate. The owner was extremely friendly, warm and accommodating. The property was clean, well maintained and had an overall wonderful feel to it the moment we opened the door. The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes/pots/pans and many extras (my husband is a chef and had every kitchen tool and appliance he needed). The location is easy access to anywhere you want to go in the area and to local stores for making grocery purchases. We would and have already recommended this property to friends and will definitely be back.

My brother and our 2 dogs thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Casa Paloma. The property has a great mix of Taos charm and modern amenities. The back patio and hot tub were delightful, and the entire unit was beautifully appointed. This is a great property for dog owners, as you have both a fenced back yard, and areas to exercise your dog just steps from the front door. Winton was very prompt in communicating with us throughout the entire process of seeking out and securing the property for our trip. You are certain to enjoy the experience at Casa Paloma. Best Regards, and we hope to be back our next trip this way!

We spent a wonderful week at this casa. Everything was clean, comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked for those of us who like to cook. After a day of hiking or golf we came home to the hot tub on the patio. I would highly recommend this casa to anyone coming to see the beatutiful Taos area.

Casa Paloma was a truly wonderful place to visit. We came to celebrate our 1st anniversary and found it to be more charming and comfortable than we had hoped. We also had a great time skiing and sightseeing and have already begun to talk about making a trip back. If you are looking for the perfect place to stay while in Taos, you won't regret this one. We can't wait to go again! Cathy & Diana.

Casa Paloma is delightful and so well stocked. Little touches like an electric heater in the bathrooms added to our comfort. It is close to all grocery stores and to the quaint town. It was easy to get to the bus for the slopes and for all types of shopping. The skiing was good and we had sun and fresh snow. The condo is very quiet and the beds are great.

Casa Paloma was absolutely amazing. We rented it for the weekend on a "last minute" type trip, and Winton was extremely accomodating. The casa had all the amenities and more of home, and, from the pizza in the freezer to the dog treats set out for our dog Stella, Winton goes the extra mile to make her guests' stay as comfortable as possible. The hot tub was great after long days of skiing. Will definitely be staying at Casa Paloma on our next trip to Taos!

We arrived in a snowstorm and as a result had 4 days of great snow. It was our first time in Taos and we'll be back for sure. The mountain (Taos Ski Valley) is not over-developed, not over-crowded, has enough variety and challenges for experienced skiiers, and the atmosphere is old-style great. We were happy we found Casa Paloma, a tastefully decorated, cozy and comfortable cottage for our family. The drive to the ski-area of about 35 minutes was not a problem and staying at a lower altitude (rather than on the mountain) works out for us flatlanders! It was a great stay, Winton.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Casa Paloma. It far exceeded our expectations! It was highly appreciated that the kitchen was nicely stocked. The decor and bedding were of high quality and enjoyed. The hot tub was awesome after full days of skiing. We ate at Song's Chinese Restaurant nearby and it was excellent! We also enjoyed Baskin Robbins. The location was great, having stores nearby. We loved it here and had a fabulous time! Greg, Amy, Missy & Holly

We were thrilled with Casa Paloma. It is warm and cozy, and extremely user friendly. The decor is calming and relxing, the kitchen is amazingly well-equiped, the beds and linens are very comfortable and the hot tub in the crisp winter Taos evenings was divine. Winton rented to us for a last minute trip and was very flexible. She did not blink an eye at us bringing our toddler and even set out a little chair for her. I highly recommend this spot! We will be back.

Winton, I just want to say thank you for providing such a wonderful environment for our vacation. The condo was very clean and comfortable. Everything we need were there: cookware, TV, Internet, Books ... It really made the experience very much like we never left home. We will definitely consider this place again next time we visit Taos.

Thanks so much for letting us stay in your beautiful, clean, and quiet condo! We were delighted to see an enclosed back yard for our dogs, it made the stay even more worry-free. We had a wonderful time walking the plaza and Bent street shops & have become somewhat addicted to Orlando's! We try to travel down to Taos once or twice a year and look forward to staying at Casa Paloma as often as possible. Thanks again Winton~we'll be in touch! Dorothy, Jeff, Santana & Gypsy

Casa Paloma is beautiful, clean and comfortable! We loved the great king-size bed and the hot tub. The location is close to town, as well as grocery stores and restaurants. The owner thinks of all the little details -- our favorite part was that the kitchen was stocked with every gadget you'd have at home (hand mixer, cheese grater, even a splatter screen!) We would definitely stay at this property again.

We've enjoyed our stay at Casa Paloma and agree with all the reasons stated by your other guests. We too have rented many different houses in Taos in the 80's & 90's but not in recent years. We very much like your contemporary southwest decor and design - a nice light touch and we were surprised to find it well stocked in the kitchen - too bad we stopped by the grocery before we came to the house! Very nice to find real flowers and a pizza in the freezer! (which we didn't eat, but it could have come in handy). Lambert's restaurant was as good as we remembered. Happy to find a few "old friends" left on the restaurant scene. Best, Kathleen & Allen Lebeck (from Albuequerque, NM) and Elissa Lebeck (from New York City)

Dear Winton & Toby, First, we are honored to be your second guests at Casa Paloma. We've come to Taos since the 1970's. The Casa is in a wonderful location and you've done so well with its tasteful furnishings and thoughtful touches: the fresh flowers, posters and paintings, beautifully appointed and stocked kitchen... even the mysterious bathroom night light. Above all, these touches suggest the warm, hospitable person(s)who created them - thank you. This trip, we wandered around the Plaza, biked the Rio Grande Gorge Trail, took in the new exhibit at the Harwood and the better art that Taos landscapes offer in the fall. We also made full use of this kitchen (steak, Friday and Pasta Putanesca al Fresco - our own recipe - on Saturday). We love to cook. Please accept the regalito (small gift) we left you. Mil Gracias! PS Wonderful eclectic music CDs!

Casa Paloma is a delightful vacation rental, for a weekend or a longer stay, close to everyday shopping (Albertson's and WallMart) and a pleasant walk or bike ride from the plaza in Taos. This two-bedroom, two-bath rental sits just off Pueblo Sur/Norte the main street running through Taos. The decor is calming, tasteful and modern, the interior, open--in the traditional adobe style (with viga and tongue and groove ceilings and a gas kiva fireplace)--unlike so many old, dark and closed-in adobe hotel rooms or rentals in Taos. The kitchen is a delight and Winton has stocked kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms thoughtfully and well. The compound is quiet and the stars quite visible. The yard is small, private, grassed and flowered, and the corner jacuzzi is intimate and therapeutic, one of the best my wife and I have ever experienced (we have our own and would trade if we could). Above all, Winton is a warm and hospitable host, one who has provided books and music CDs (with player) that are eclectic and sophisticated. Our beagle and chihuahua/dachshund (Chaweenie) give it five barks out of five.

We have had a fabulous time here in Taos. Your welcome, Winton, was great and made us feel very much at home. The house has been very comfortable - every detail catered to and we appreciated the garden and plants which must be so difficult to cultivate in the high desert environment. We have loved the area, mainly hiking (we especially liked the summit of Wheeler Peak) but we are also now well acquainted with the sad demise of Governor Bent! Thank you so much for providing such a lovely holiday home. Best Wishes, Francesca and John
